Have you called other Walmarts in your area? Seems like they would all have the same price cuts. If they still have them on the shelf there's still hope!

They had 6-8 on the shelf this morning and he is holding my two. If they have more I am going to pick them up for people here. They could all be gone though... He called me around 1.

With all of the craziness this weekend and attempting to order from different retailers, I think I may have ended up with an extra one. I've already received confirmation from Best Buy that my order has shipped. And I think HP is shipping me one tomorrow. I only needed one so will have an extra. It is a 32GB. I'm not looking to upcharge, just want to get the money back that I am charged for it plus whatever it costs to ship it to whoever purchases it. If anyone is interested, PM me.

i got an email saying they are still going through to confirm order emails and that

"Be assured that your order has been captured. You should receive an automated order confirmation in the next 24-72 hours."

I hope this is what i think it means

I got one of these emails, too. I'm just really hoping to get at least 1 at this point. I placed an order with HP for a 32GB, onsale for a 32GB, and B&N for the 16GB. I've heard about orders from all three potentially being cancelled, so I'm just hoping at least one of them will come through for me.

I ordered one from Amazon from Onsale and it hasn't been shipped yet. I wonder if anyone has had one from Onsale actually ship out yet?

My order at HP now states approved! YAY!

mine is now saying NOT FOUND... I have been on hold with them for over 75 minutes.. charges are still pending on my credit card.. I cannot get into the site I was in yesterday checking it.. it keeps telling me there are no orders found ......




I managed to get onto the site by using IE instead of Google Chrome.. my order is still there.. they still have it in the admin phase, but have now changed the planned ship out date from 8/22 (today) to 8/27 (Saturday). Arrival date now says 8/30...
I am still on hold..91 minutes now.. and am hanging up.. URGH!

Nope, not yet. Rumors are floating around that they're going to cancel all the orders- really hoping this isn't true. Mine still says "shipping soon" when i check my order status. And I also would be interested in buying one from someone if they have any extras. Thanks!

I bet they won't take off the shipping.. that must have been there before they dropped the price.. if we weren't to be charged shipping, they would not have placed it there. Also, if you ordered thru "small buisness" you will be charges since the free shipping was for the "home & home office" section of HP.. it states it in the fine print...

I bought one from onSale last night. The amount was posted on my credit card this morning, but now it's gone. However, my Amazon account says it will ship soon.

I bought a 32 KB one but, boy, do I have a gripe with a certain Walmart store. Yesterday, I drove to a Walmart in a rural, neighboring county to the county where I live. I had called first and they said they had them in stock but I didn't ask the price since I knew they were being sold at the sales price (and sold out) at all the other Walmart's where I had checked. When I got there, the electronics sales associate told me they weren't on sale. I asked to speak to a manager and an assistant manager came to electronics. She told me that she had not heard of this sale and seemed incredulous that I kept insisting that they were on sale for $99 and $149, respectively. She told me that she absolutely could not sell me one for that price and that I would have to speak to the sales manager on Monday (today). When I got home, I spoke to walmart customer service and the person I spoke to confirmed that the sale was in the stores as well as online. The other walmart within driving distance of my home sold the touchpads at the sale price in the stores but not this one. Walmart customer service said they would send an email and for me to follow up with the store manager. Early this morning, I received a phone call from the Walmart I had been dealing with that they were holding one of the touchpads for me to buy at the sale price but I had to pick it up today which I did. Neither the store manager nor the assistant store manager called me- it was some poor associate who I guess had to do the dirty work for the managers by calling me. Ay yi yi! I have the touchpad and it will be a Christmas gift for my oldest daughter. I hope it's worth the hassle!

I ordered a 16g from B&N this morning around 4am, and around 6am got a query from Chase Southwest Visa asking if I had charged the amount the total came to on B&N. Got email from B&N immediately after I ordered it.

I just checked my order status on the barnes and noble sight as well, and it says that the expected ship date will be 8/24/11. Is this a good sign? Did anyone elses have the expected ship date and then receive the cancellation email?

Just got my cancellation email from B&N for the order I placed this morning. Still waiting to hear from HP about the order I placed Friday night and Onsale about the order I placed yesterday. I'm not really expecting them to ship at this point.
