I just now saw this thread.
I homeschool my grandchild and we have been wanting some type of tablet and looked at the HP 2 weeks ago. I ordered on Sunday and the charges have been removed from my card so I guess it isn't coming. If anyone has an extra, either size please PM me and I can paypal you immediately. Thanks

I am interested in getting one. DH's birthday is this Thurs and he would LOVE one. I would prefer the 32GB but if they are gone the 16. Thanks for sharing your extras!

I just got off the phone with MACMALL . I was told when I ordered my 32gb touchpad that it would be delivered on Wednesday. I have charges pending on AMEX.
Now after speaking to 3 customer service reps I have been inforned my order was cancelled as they have no stock to ship. My order shows approved and being shipped by fedex. It simply means according yo the sales rep that if they get product from HP they will then fulfill the order.
Therefore no touchpads being shipped from MACMALL or their online store ONSALE at Amazon.

If they don't have any stock, how can they CHARGE someone's CC for the item, knowing that they have nothing to ship? I don't have a charge pending, I have a charge to my account. They have my money! I don't want to dispute anything on the off chance product comes through!

UGH! So disgusted right about now!

I used Paypal to check out through BestBuy and it showed pending on Paypal until today...now it shows charged. I guess I'll just keep checking the BB website to see if it ever updates from processing....oh and I only ordered one, so they aren't holding up my order because I ordered more than the 'limit' they are imposing now.

I'm still in TouchPad limbo. I have an order waiting from HP and OnSale. Neither have been officially cancelled or officially charged. At this point I've given up on getting the actual tablet, but it would be nice to know for sure!

I know lots of places charge your card when they don't have the items to ship. Both the DisneyStore online and Lands end have charged me in the last 10 days for items they did not have. (One is still posted on the site!). They eventually refund your money.

I always have an immediate charge pending from Disney store but they don't charge until it's shipped for my orders. I placed 3 last week and all of them were pending within minutes of my order, but then days later they ran the charges through and the amounts were all a few cents to a full dollar different....not sure why, maybe they calculated tax incorrectly during check out or something?

I bought mine at Bjs Sat night. I paid full price but got a price adjustment on Sunday!

I got mine (32KB- that's all they had) from Walmart in a neighboring county. I posted about my experience somewhere above.

I am not talking a "pending" charge. I was referring to an actual charge where the money was removed from my account which then caused them to issue an actual refund back into my account.

I called HP, I'm an EPP member and asked if they would be receiving any in stock soon. The CSR informed me that they already have a waitlist and will be honoring that first.... she said that they were limiting them to one per customer.

I was so excited about getting one and now I am so depressed. I wonder if HP has stock in anti-depressants?
I had been researching the itouch and ipads. Apple is waiting until Feb 2012 to launch the new Ipad3 so I will wait until after xmas when there should be a huge reduction on IPAD2.

What a rollercoaster ride.

I ordered 1 16GB and 1 32GB from HP SMB on Sunday - 08/21 at 3 AM.
Got the confirmation email on 08/22 at 9 AM. My CC is not charged yet.
But my order is showing Ordered Date as : 08/22 5:54 AM.
Why? People any idea?
