I am sorry to hear about losing the glasses but you can't really blame it on a person. It really could have been lost. Someone might have found them and placed them on something hoping that the owner would show up. That is what I would have done if I came across them. I would not even think that they were prescription. I have picked up things (anywhere, not just disney) and placed them on a counter or table or chair, etc. so that no one would step on them. I have never actually gone to hand them into lost and found unless I thought it was worth something, like a wallet or camera. Again I am so sorry to hear about the glasses.

oh i'm sorry this happened to you! i too would have picked them up and just placed them on the nearest table unless it was something valuable.

I dont see how this is some not so nice persons fault. Perhaps they got broken and someone threw them away so no one would get cut not knowing that they were prescription.

To tell you the truth, I've never heard of Oakleys. If I saw them, I'd think they were just another pair of sunglasses. I would probably have handed them to a lifeguard or layed them on a table somewhere. Perhaps someone did take them, but you don't really know that. I'm sorry you lost something that you value.

I leave my (high prescription) glasses in the locker I rented and make do without them when at the water parks. True, I don't get to appreciate the finer scenic details of the park and have to get really close to signs to read them and see where I am and where I want to go.

Very incongruous with all of your other comments and the concerns you have put forth. Anger management courses anyone?

I wouldn't know what Oakley's were either.

As far as that slim shot that they into the filter, one thing I have learned in life is to never say never...

Never say never. I managed to flush a very expensive pair of glasses down a toilet once. My eye doctor was shocked that they actually went down, but sure enough, they shot the rapids.

I'm sorry about the loss- my prescription is so crazy that I die a little bit inside every time I lose or break a pair of glasses, or rather, my Mastercard does.

I personally had no idea what Oakleys are, to me it would have been another pair of glasses. But why be angry with a dishonest person when it all could have been avoided with a strap from Walmart that would have kept them safely on your neck. Be angry with yourself and not someone else. They couldnt have been taken if they were around your neck.

My son lost his favorite goggles at TL. We looked around for them and could not find them. We checked the next day at Lost and Found, but they weren't there. So I bought him another pair of goggles.

I wouldn't know Oakleys if I saw them either.. I just go to the dollar store to get mine..

You tried to break them? I don't understand why you'd be upset if you lost them.

Agree with above some people have to blame other people.
Also why would you want to break her glasses when you were in a mood with her?? :confused3 :confused3

I've never heard of Oakleys either.

In the future, you might want to consider less costly glasses just for the waterparks. Oh, and for some of the wild rides too. DS lost his glasses on The Mummy ride in Universal even though he put them in his pocket. One ride on that thing and they were history!

We were like you last year i went into the bathroom out side the wild arctic shop in sea world and i forgot to pick up the video camera on my way out. Luckily for us some one did find it and did hand it in for us it was panic stations looking for it. hope your oakleys turn up soon

:confused3 Seems silly to me to blame "someone" else for your mistake. Accident's happen and sometimes its no one's fault. Personally I would have 10,000 fits if my DH or DDs took sunglasses that expensive to a waterpark! Its too bad they haven't been found but they were your responsibility not everyones around you.

Chalk this up to a learning experience...

I've never heard of Oakleys either. If I found a pair of sunglasses at the parks, I'd hand them to a CM, or put them up on a ledge. If they were broken (maybe stepped on at the edge of the pool when they washed ashore?) I'd have thrown them out so that no one would have gotten injured.

There's a lot of greenery at TL, maybe someone put them on an edge, and somehow the glasses got knocked into the shrubbery?
