I also went to target this morning, they had some stuff left, mostly bows and wrap - I had that maroon cashmere stocking w/rhinstones in my cart but decided not to buy it - oh well. Anyway, I also ended up in a fight w/the cashier and manager over the air freshner thing that "puffs". It was 90% off - I think .65 , and had a sticky coupon on it for $2 off. Now I knew that they probably wouldn't take the $2 off, but the cashier handed the coupon back to me and told me she couldn't use it and I would have to use it on something else. I told her no, that it wasn't my fault that the item was on clearance, and it had a coupon on it and to call the manager. Well the manager was a real b**** and was very condesending towards me. I told her that I realize that the item wasn't $2, however, don't give the coupon back and tell me I can't use it if it was attached to the item. She then said, "I'm not going to argue w/you" and just took the whole $2 off. Then she walked away as I was trying to tell her that I expected only .65 off to make the total cost $0 ... What a witch, she's lucky I have a cold and didn't have the strength to complain about her. The cashier even apologized to me for the managers behavior! I've never worked in a store like target/
walmart - what was the correct thing to do????
