90 days vs 180 days.. can someone confirm what Birnbaum Guide says?? Please!

I've been under the impression you have to wait until 90 days before your arrival to schedule your dining reservations.

I was looking through the Birnbaum guide for 2009 and it says that if you have a confirmed reservation at a Disney resort you are entitled to a special perk..

"Call 180 days prior to the first day of your hotel reservation and you can make dining reservations for up to 10 days of your stay."

adrs are 90 days prior - doesn't matter where you stay

That was correct at the time the book went to press.

Since then it has changed to 90 days. You can still make 10 days' worth of ADRs on the first day you call if you are staying on site.

The PP is right, it's 90 days no matter what.

I checked and Birnbaum's 2009 guide was published September 30, 2008. The reservations weren't switched to 90 days until December 2008. Birnbaum's was right when it was printed, but Disney has since changed their policy.

Don't some restaurants still do ADRs 180 days out? Cinderella's Royal Table and Chef Mickey for instance? I called to make ADRs before I booked my trip and could make ADRs for these two but had to wait until 90 days out for the other places I was interested in.

They were for a while but not anymore.

Victoria & Albert's, CRT and Chef Mickey's weren't 180 days, but they were available until the fixed date of June 19.

Now that we're closer than 90 days to June 19, these are all 90 days like everything else.

The only exception to the rule are the actual Grand Gathering Experiences (like the safari breakfast). The Grand Gathering Experiences are 180 days, and are the only exception to the 90 day rule.
