We re going for our first family tripp to Disney in Feb, my ODD will be turning 3 during the trip and my YDD will be 9 months. Are there rides that the 9 month old can go on?:confused3

We took our DS when he was 8 months old. We took him on rides with us, not the roller coasters. But we took him on Its A Small World, Dumbo, the carosel. I am sure there are a few others I can't think of.

Just got back less then a wk ago. Other than the riede with a height requirement, my 3mos old DS rode the rides. I didn't put him on the tea cups though. I thought the spinnig might be to much. Enjoy, there is a lot to do with a 9mos old. My 2yr old was 10mos when she went the first time. She rode everything that she was aloud!

Rides: Dumbo, Small World, Peter Pan, Snow White, Winnie the Pooh, Carousel, Pirates of the Carribean, Alladin's Carpet, Haunted Mansion, Nemo, (The big Earth at Epcot)forgot the name sorry!
The Land, The jungle Cruise (I can't remember the right names for everything. The dinosaurs at Animal Kingdom, Safari, Train

CAN'T FORGET MY KIDS FAVORITE RIDE OF ALL..................................................

THE MONORAIL!!!!!!!!
Why do I need to by tickets, I just need to go down and they ride the monorail and their happy!

We took DS at 5 months and will be taking the bean at 6 months as well, the only ride with did without him was Test Track. An infant can do all rides without a height requirement, the following is a list of height requirements in the parks.

Magic Kingdom
Space Mountain 44 inches
Splash Mountain 40 inches
Big Thunder Mountain 40 inches
Stitch 40 inches
Barnstormer 35 inches

Epcot
Soarin' 40 inches
Mission Space 44 inches
Test Track 40 inches

Hollywood Studios
Rock'n'Roller Coaster 48 inches
Star Tours 40 inches
Tower of Terror 40 inches

Animal Kingdom
Dinosaur 40 inches
Expedition Everest 44 inches
Kali River Rapids 38 inches
Primeval Whirl 48 inches

So other then those they can do all the rides.

We've gone with our children at all different ages:

November 2005 DS was 2.5 months shy of 4, and DD was 9.5 months

December 2006 DS 1.5 months shy of 5, DD was 22.5 months, and I was 5 months pregnant with #3

September 2007 DS 5.5 years, DD was 2.5, and DS was 5 months

January 2008 DS 6, DD 3, DS 9 months

May 2008 DS 6, DD 3, DS 13 months, and I was 4 ½ months pregnant with #4

On all of these trips, we've had a blast!! The babies were able to do most of the things we wanted to do, if there's something they can't do (Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, etc) then we've found the Rider Switch is very easy to use. We'll never regret taking our young babies. It's a blast with the wee ones!

Have a magical trip!!

My kids have ridden everything without a height requirement from birth! almost literally (i took my 9 day old baby on everything I could - including Pirates!)

Thank you so much for easing my worries. I thought we would have to take turns riding everything with ODD now I know we can ride them together. MY ODD is almost 40 in so she is fine for almost everything!!! Thanks so much!

This is SO true! Our DS4 absolutely LOVES the monorail. Probably his favorite thing to do... besides ride the BUSES! He loves those too. We could probably go the entire trip without setting foot in a park as long as we rode the monorail and took the buses everywhere. :)

Oh yes I forgot to add that we are right there with you Williams55. Our youngest DS will only be 9.5 months on our trip next month. We are looking forward to taking him on lots of the fun stuff! Our oldest DS was 15 months on his first trip in 2005 so he's experienced now at the tender age of 4 (this will be his 5th trip).
