9 days 2 resorts FREE Dining Christmas Lights & a bouncing Tigger who stole my heart

OK, so I saw the Kona pics last night with the Tonga toast

 It looks a-m-a-z-i-n-g

I called Bob upstairs to look at them.

He was like 'Oh yeah! I'm getting that! :rotfl2:

Only 8 1/2 months. :cool1:

I haven't seen the Epcot pics yet, but I can't wait!

YAY for only 8 1/2 months until Tonga Toast!! :cool1::rotfl:
I've always made the "typical" NY Resolutions (lose wt, pay off credit cards, etc), but Andy and I talked and we have so many plans, dreams, goals, WHATEVER, that we're going to go on a date to our favorite pizza place, grab a table in the corner and put pen to paper about what we want this year to bring, and how we're going to get there! I'm pretty excited about it, so I guess my resolution is to make RESOLUTIONS!! :rotfl2:
HAPPY NEW YEAR SHELLY, AND ALL DISERS!! :grouphug:

That sounds like a great New Years Resolution! :thumbsup2

:cloud9:

Oh Epcot how do I love thee!!!!!!!

:love::love::love::love::love::love:

Thanks so much for the wonderful update.

I don't care for HISTA-- haven't been to it since, um, my honeymoon ?? I think!:rotfl2: Long time. It could go and I don't know of many people that would miss it.:confused3

I call the wait thingy-s.... "wait thingy-s". Sea--- you're so technical. :) That's why we luv ya. Sea knows all!:goodvibes

That was nice of the man and woman to be so sweet to your boys. Belle and Drew- for whatever reason-- find that a trip to WDW just isn't the same without fighting over those cards. We get them all the time as well.

RF--- I'm gonna eat Tonga Toast before you. Neener neener nee-ner. But sigh--- there are those here that will have it before me.:rolleyes1

Happy New Year everyone! Dole WHips and Tonga Toast for everyone!!!

Thanks for the update Shelly!
Looking forward to WS --- did you get a Kaki Gori???????

party: HAPPY NEW YEAR's Eve everyone! party:

I hope everyone has a safe and fun evening and a great day tomorrow! May 2010 bring you much health, happiness, and fun times at Disney World!!:cool1:

Any great New Year's resolutions out there?

Mine is to get caught up on my photo albums/scrapbooking. I'm normally not a procrastinator, but for some reason I have really put this off. I just checked the boys albums and they are close to 2 years behind!! :scared1: Probably has something to do with me spending too much time on the DIS. . . :rolleyes1 So, I am determined to get right on that in January!! :thumbsup2

Thanks, Shelly, and HAPPY NEW YEAR to you, your family, and all your TR readers!!

Thanks for taking us along in 2009 with the plans and memories of your 2 Disney trips through your TR's and PTR's. :thumbsup2 I have really enjoyed reading all of your updates and seeing all the great pictures.

As far as resolutions....hmmm......I haven't decided on that yet. But I could certainly start with the photo albums, too. I need to tackle that before I can even think of scrapbooking. The problem for me is that, instead of being 2 years behind, I am more like 2 years into it. And my kids are 22 & 25! So you see my problem.... I also would like to read more in 2010. But that's all I can come up with for now.

I hope everyone going out tonight is safe and careful! I just gave my DS the "careful and responsible" speech. ;) Oh, I miss the days of tucking my kids in on New Years' Eve and knowing exactly where they were every night!

Happy New Year Shelly and all!!party:pixiedust:My kids' scrapbooks are woefully behind too - like 4 years worth!* But in my defense, I have done a few vacation books and my parents' wedding album in the meantime.* Plus now my office is being rearranged so I can leave a table up to work on my books!* When I'm not DISing! My resolutions are to try to be more patient.* With my family, work etc.* Plus to do more fun family activities (hopefully that will count as exercise) like ice skating.* We are all going out to dinner with 5 other families from our neighborhood and gathering at one neighbor's house afterwards.* We hardly ever make it to midnight though!

It doesn't seem to matter what time of day we are leaving Epcot, or what resort we are staying at, we always have the longest waits there. . . Usually 20-30 minutes. :confused3

We noticed that, too.

So as we were taking our nightly look at stuff in the gift shop we could hear lots of noise coming from the River Roost Lounge. I knew it had to be Piano Bob!

He sounds like a lot of fun, and I love how your DS10 was really getting into it!

As soon as we were seated I knew we were going to be unhappy with our table. It was right on the outside edge of the restaurant and it was very drafty and there were people(who were waiting to be seated) leaning on the rail that was right on the other side of the table.

We were seated in the same area when we had dinner there in 2004 and it totally sucked! I'm glad you got moved. Your meals looked delicious!

I love your new address book! :lovestruc

Happy New Years to everyone! I'll be away for the next week (vacation to caribbean with the sisters...too bad it's not Disney) but will catch up when I'm back!

Wishing everyone a bright and prosperous new year!

Somehow I knew you'd love the Epcot day! ;)

Yes, I'm not sure what is up with the kids always having to argue about the stupid wait time thingys!! :confused3:rolleyes:

Nope, no Kaki Gori. I totally meant to get one this trip, but forgot. I know!

Aw, Thanks for always sharing in my PTR & TR's with me. You're a great friend!

Sounds like you are a little behind on your photo albums too. :scared1: I will be sure to email you each time I am working on mine so I can inspire you to work on yours!! We'll be scrapbooking buddies!! :cool1:

I hope you had a safe & fun evening last night. I'm sure I will be doing the same with my kids when they are grown, calling them and telling them to be careful!

Looks like I have another scrapbooking buddy! :rotfl: I always do our vacation photo albums too, but just seem to keep falling behind on the kids albums.

Sounds like you had a great night planned. Hope it was a blast! :goodvibes

We noticed that, too.

Not sure what it up with those Epcot buses. :confused3

He sounds like a lot of fun, and I love how your DS10 was really getting into it!

DS was definitely into it! One of the highlights of his trip! :goodvibes

I'm pretty sure there aren't too many people on here today, but I will go ahead with an update anyway while I have time. And everyone can get caught up later! :goodvibes

Thursday November 12th continued ~

When I left off we had just done TT. Now we were ready to begin our journey around World Showcase. On our last trip the kids had done the Kidcot Stops for the first time, but didn't start it until we were nearly the whole way around World Showcase, so they only hit 2 countries. This time they were determined to hit them all!

Epcot's giant Christmas tree ~

We would be back later to take pics of it at night!

First stop - Mexico! We did the Gran Fiesta Tour, with no wait. Did some looking around. And the kids started their Masks.

Next was - Norway. Where we took a ride on Maelstrom, with no wait, did some shopping, and found the Kidcot stop!

Continued. . . .

Next up was - China, Germany, and Italy. Some of the Kidcot Stops in this area were a little hard to find :confused3, but we did find them all eventually.

Next was the American Adventure. It was about 3:00 and we were all getting a little hungry. We had skipped lunch since we had such a late & big breakfast. So we stopped for a little snack at the Fife and Drum Tavern to hold us over until dinner. We got a frozen Lemonade, bottle of water, a box of popcorn, and 2 pretzels. We used 5 snack credits for these and the total bill was $18. As we were sitting there eating our snacks the Fife and Drum Corps came out. We had an obstructed view of them, but we could hear them. So that was a nice little surprise!

Happy New Year to you as well! We were actually supposed to be at WDW this week (12/29-1/5). I am so glad now that we re-scheduled for early March! Thanks for making me feel better!

I bet you are very happy you aren't there right now!! I hope March is less crowded and warmer for you! :goodvibes

Yummy snack! :thumbsup2 You got some great pictures around World Showcase, and I bet your boys were thrilled to get so much done on their masks!

YAY someone is here today!! :cool1:

Thanks. This was the first time we had really taken our time and enjoyed World Showcase, rather than just buzzing through it. I'm glad we did, it was nice & relaxing (well, with the exception of trying to find all those dang Kidcot Stops! :rotfl:). The kids were thrilled to complete their masks.

Looks like a great time. I love the pic of the boys in front of the giant tree. I can't wait to try the Kid stops with my two.

I'm catching up!!
I have decided that our next trip will spend more time at WS so I can explore the shops, the pavillions and see more stuff. I was disappointed that I missed some things this trip that I had wanted to see. We spent too long doing Kim Possible missions - even though it was fun. So I understand about finding the Kidcot stops! They aren't real obvious.

Love the new Epcot update and pix Shelly. The Christmas trees are huge there - were they real? - Sea

I can't wait to spend some time in the WS - I hope we can find the kidcot stations - we've never done them before so hopefully we'll get to it this time. But if we do - we HAVE to do them all! Both of my boys would have a hard time leaving with an incomplete project! I'm hoping to do the Kim Possible thing again too. Zach loved it last time!

Any pointers you can give on where to find the stations? :confused3

Not real. 65 feet tall. Didn't you watch the Behind the Magic special??? And you call yourself a Disney fan. I thought it was required viewing. ;) :happytv:
They showed how they store them in chunks. It was pretty cool despite the host being dorky.
