These tips are great!! I am a sinus/migraine/allergy sufferer also...dh has asked me if I want to go to a neurologist, but I don't know. I really can't tell when they are coming until I start to have it...no day before warning for me. So, I couldn't actually plan a Drs appt while I am having one. But I do know perfumes/room sprays..whatever, with a floral smell kill me. I looooove citrus smells tho...its all I can handle! Shelly..your pics are great! I love the one your son took of the squirrel...too sweet!!

I'm sorry you suffer from migraines too. I had a few more this weekend. Yuck!

Yes, DS loves to take pictures of the wild life at Disney!! We are constantly saying - Come on, we can look at birds at home!!

Never eaten at Pizzafari-- It looks pretty good. Is it like the pizza at Pizza Planet? We only ate there once and the kids liked it okay. I don't really remember much about it.

EE makes me ill sometimes but I always thought it was b/c I ride it first thing in the morning after too much coffee. I don't think I'd handle 2x very well.

Thanks for the update. I'd like to enjoy Ak more than I do-- I need to force myself into spending more time there. But I'm not a zoo person so that could be why...
It may have something to do with the elephant assault...

We got to the Safari and the wait was 45 minutes. So we got fastpasses and went to get a snack. Got to a snack cart in Africa and waited forever. When we got to the front of the line the CM tells me that the computer isn't working so he can't sell anything. Seriously??? So we go and sit down and watch him and wait. . . Eventually someone comes to get things fixed up. DS10 and I jump back in line and finally get our snacks. In the meantime DS8 and DH had gone to the fruit stand and DS8 got an apple. DS10 got a mickey head ice cream sandwich and I got a pineapple fruit bar. Sure wasn't a Dole Whip, but it would have to do for a few days!!

We had our snacks and then decided to take another look for Trixie's souvenir. It was a key chain with 3 animal print Mickey heads. I had a picture of it and DH decided to just start asking CM's if they had it. We went into one store and no luck! Then we went into Creature Comforts and DH showed the picture to the CM - Benji. He said they didn't have it but he thought someone did. He then called 3 other AK stores until he finally found it!! He told us to take the path across from his store past the tree and when we came to the end to turn right and there would be a store called Beastly Bazaar and they had it there. Woohoo!! So we took the path and sure enough it led us right there! Thank you CM Benji!!

Okay, mission accomplished! Now we were ready to use our Safari fastpasses. Even with the fastpasses we probably waited at least 15 minutes to ride.

Yes, no more 2 EE rides in a row for me!

I really wish I enjoyed AK more too. It is by far my least favorite park. I would even be okay with skipping it every other trip. The only reason we go is because DS10 loves EE so much. If we go deluxe next year and have to shorten the trip to do so, DS10 just may be out of luck for EE!

Pizzafari was okay. Very similar food to Pizza Planet. Okay, but certainly not great.

It's so strange how COMPLETELY different the decor in the rooms between AB and MB are... I wish I could find pictures of the rooms that we stayed in... But it was 100% different.

Also this is almost the EXACT path that we would walk every day! Our building was the 1st one to the immediate right of that bridge in the 1st picture (if the Sass Steam Co is behind you and you are walking away from it). So we would walk past the Arcade and around that little path every single day! Brings back such good memories!

Sorry you had a migraine on the trip. I get a few a year and the only thing I've found to work is Excedrin Migraine but it makes me feel SUPER jittery and my heart races because I'm not used to the caffeine in it. I think I'll get some lemon juice and give it a try next time.

I also feel like AK is missing something. There is just not enough there. We have never ridden EE, and only rode Dinosaur once, it didn't scare me, it was too jittery and flashing lights for me to see anything to be scared

We still haven't been able to cut our time short at this park, when I see my list of must do's for our trip it's pretty short... I think we'll be searching out Divine for most of the day, that will be dd's one wish

I had looked at pictures of both of the rooms before we left. I wasn't in love with either, but liked the looks of the outside of the AB section better so that's why I requested it. It would be neat to stay in the Mansions the next time we stay at POR for something different!

You should definitely give POR a try! This is from one CBR lover to another!! POR is great too. Maybe not quite as great as CBR, but it's right up there! Do you think your DH will ever stay anywhere besides CBR???

Excedrin Migraine does the same thing to me. It doesn't matter what time I take it I know I will not be sleeping that night. So I have to choose to either suffer with the pain and possibly be able to sleep later, or to take the meds and know that I'll be up all night. Neither is a great choice. DH thinks I need to go to the chiropractor.

I guess I'm not alone in my feelings for AK. But I guess that's the great thing about Disney, there is definitely something for everyone!! I know some people don't care for DHS, and that's actually my favorite park!

Maybe I need to try some sinus meds. . . Lately I just have a constant pressure right at the top of my nose and between my eyes.

Yep, Pizzafari = Pizza Planet minus the arcade. I really think AK and DHS are lacking some good CS spots.

Santa Drawers

Ours is called Santa's Workshop!! You know, the kids get to shop (for cheap junk)! I'm actually back already today! I had everything all set up before the break and had someone else lined up to run it today!! So I just went in to check on things for a bit. Tomorrow and Thursday I will be there all morning and maybe into the afternoon.

Was my last post really so long that you ate all your snacks???
