9/7/06 10 night Wonder Southern Caribbean "Cruising in WONDERland!"

Well, you all may get your wish:

"NASA's launch window extends to Sept. 13, but mission managers were hoping to launch by Sept. 7 to avoid a conflict with a Russian Soyuz rocket also bound for the International Space Station. Officials are talking with our Russian partners about the issue. Atlantis would require eight days of launch preparations once it was returned to Launch Pad 39B."

Celia, I read this too. No launch for us. Ernesto is not to arrive until tomorow. They would have to move the shuttle back to the pad and then add the eight days. Sounds like it will be there when we leave, gone when we return. I guess this is what you call good news (no extra traffic) and bad news (no watching launch).


Someone mentioned visiting Kennedy Space Center. Do they have a visitors center or something that is open to the public?

Would you believe we still have no docs? Our TA is across country. I finally called Friday and they have them. They said we should receive them tomorrow. Growing impatient.

Our plane takes off at 12:05 and we are flying American, I would hate to camp out at the airport....been there, done that.

I really wanted to see that shuttle launch...I was hoping it was while we were at WDW, maybe next time.

Weren't you the one who suggested packing your oldest/ yuckiest underwear and throwing it away as you wear it to make room for all the stuff you buy on the trip? Guess we have to add that this method doesn't work during hurricane season!

I envy you, you must have larger suit cases than me. I realized I was running out of room and that was the first thing to go!

Southwest will allow you to check 3 peices of luggage. So I've got 2 big and 1 small going for just me. Plenty of room for the extra undies and the stuff bought.

Good morning everyone!

How great is it to say we will be cruising... NEXT WEEK!

I just got off the phone with Shirley form The Perfect Gift & ordered the girls sandpails (from the Princesses)... ordered the stateroom decorations for Mike's b'day (he hits the big 32 on the 14th )... shipped my boxes down over the weekend (including 70+ goody bags for fish extenders and some wine )... started packing...

How excited are we all getting?!?!? I can barely stand it anymore!

I don't get excited until I'm heading down. Then I go into hyper overdrive! I've got so much to do it's not even funny!!! I've got to finish our shirts and what few fishy gifts I'm making. I'm almost typed I'm shipping myself tomorrow. I'm shipping my stuff tomorrow.

To do top it all off, I decided yesterday to take part in the World's Largest Cruise Night on Oct 19th so I've got a lot of planning to do in the next 9 days. I'm going this morning to meet about renting a room for the event. I've got to get last minute stuff that I've forgot about so far. But I've got my list with me this time around!!

It's just about all dh can talk about! LOL! And 15dd (Pirana) has had nightmares for the last couple of nights that are about her not being able to get on the ship! In the last two I was able to cruise but, no one else was! She said that one of them our 5dd was with me but, Pirana knew that she would spend all her time in the kids club so that I had a cruise by myself.

Hello everyone

Just a quick note to let you know that we all arrived safely last Wednesday after only a two hour delay due to enhanced security at Gatwick.

I'm writing this at an Internet cafe on the 192 West with Helen, Alex and Bethan waiting patiently for me so we can go for breakfast.

Having a fantastic time and looking forward to meeting you all soon.

Hopefully will "speak" to you all again soon before the cruise.

Hey everyone. It's official, schools here are closed tomorrow. We are spending this afternoon bringing in our potted plants from outside and anything light enough to get tossed around.

I love to scrapbook, but I probably wont be joining the group for that, I dont have any room in our suitcases.

Hopefully we will have power tomorrow!
