Hi everyone! We just returned from a week in Cleveland and I surprised Carolyn with a 3 day cruise on the Wonder. The crew is very excited about the Southern Carribean cruises. The Wonder goes into dry dock after the 11 day cruise. They still had Hurcules the Musical but not Twice Charmed. No one was letting on to what the enertainment would be for the Southern Carribean cruises. I'll catch up on name tag additions as soon as I can, I have alot of pages to read. More later. Alex

Once again I have to say it wouldn't do me any good to live so close to the ports!!! Nope not at all! :rotfl2:

Wow Alex, what a great suprise. Did you get any other secrets out of the cm's?

Anyone ever done the Coral World excursion on your previous cruises? We booked it yesterday. We are wondering if there is time to hang out at the beach during this excursion. :confused3

Pooh_Friend#1 My Dh had to have it activated by T-Mobile. Once that is done it can be used anywhere. Give them a call and see what it takes to get it done. It's like .99 a minute in certain European ports except Russia there it was (I think) $3.49 a minute. Needless to say we didn't talk to him from Russia.

According the the "passporter" guide, Disney only gives 1 1/2 to enjoy everything. They quote "most people enjoy this excursion, but would have done on there own next time".

Based on that we will doing this non-Disney style:

Here is why:

*The Taxi is only $8-9 per person to Coral World based on two passengers
*Coki Beach is a short walk from Coral World
*You can rent locker at Coral world for $3 ($10 refundable deposit). Your admission to Coral World includes unlimited re-entry to the park, making it easy to visit the beach during your visit.
*There is coupon on the website to get $3.00 off admission, so it will only cost $15 per adult or $8 per child.
*More time to visit
*Overall cost is less...

Here is the website for Coral World .

Anyone else doing this excursion on their own?

Steve

Pooh_Friend#1 I have T-Mobile also, the only difference is that I don't get cell service in any of the ports (except Key West

I have T-moblie too. The only port I could call from was St. Thomas last year. My daughter is expecting my second granchild on September 27. The only problem is she was 10 days early last time. I WONDER (no pun intended) :rotfl2:

Chipper and Amalee.Everyone else - just like Amlee my phone works in the islands also so if you need it just find me and you can use it. My phone is T-Mobile and we had the best connection in Europe. Our DS said it was so clear you thought we were right next door

That is really nice of both of you. :)

What a wonderful surprise for Carolyn. We missed you on the boards. hope you found out some secrets for us. :teeth:

By the way. I am jealous of all of you meeting in Disneyland.

I'm envious of the Disneyland Dis meet. I haven't been to DL since I was 14 years old. I'm sure it has changed a lot since then. For one, we had individual tickets for each ride and kept making my Dad go back to the ticket booth to buy more :goodvibes .

WDW is 4 hours from my house now so we can't just go for lunch. That would be nice though.

SIGH!!!!!

I'll just have to wait until the cruise in 24 days.

Carol

Goofyguy - based on your analysis - I think I might do Coral World on my own.

1-1/2 hours isnt really much time with DCL. I wonder why they only give you that short a time when they tell you the total excursion time is 3-1/2 hours.

Thanks for bringing that to our attention.

I'm thinking of doing it on my own also. But with only 8 hours in port. I'm not sure what I'm going to do. If you count at least an hour to get off the ship, an hour to get back on the ship, plus lunch. That really doesn't give alot of time.

Yeah I know. I'm playing it way safe getting off and getting on, but better safe than sorry.

Thank you everyone for your kind words. I am happy to report he is doing very well. no more seizures. All your pixie dust and prayers must have worked!

Now that I am not so stressed the fun stuff. My husband scuba dives. We found a website for Coki Beach diving so he will probably dive through them while the rest of us hang out at the beach.

My husband will be working at the park while all of you have lunch! If you see a guy on a bike in the parking lot that might be my husband. i can't make the lunch since I will be going to get my maid of honor dress for my sisters wedding. (She is getting married in February!) I was probably going to go next week some time so I can hit Company D once more before we cruise.

YAY! :cool1: Got our stateroom number. It's 6104!! :cheer2:  YIPPIE!!!

I am! I am!

But now I have to laugh at myself. Because I had a list of things I was going to ask when she called. I got caught up in the excitement of it all. I forgot to ask her. :lmao:

But I'll ask it here, so I won't have to call back and be on hold for an hour or so. I've looked at the brochure, the TA website, this website, Disneycruiseline.com and I can't find my answer. I was going ask when they called me, but well that got lost.

Will the ship have to do any tendering? You would think they would have that type of info SOME WHERE!! If they do, I can't find it. I know it won't at CC. But I wasn't sure about the other islands.

My youngest (will be 4 next month) already is asking for Kirsten, but we had Jacqueline (our oldest) wait until her 5th birthday- fair is fair ;) So, she asked my Mom for the twins (she also has a Bitty Baby too) and she'll be getting those for her birthday this year.

5dd has 15dd's old Bitty Baby (it's 10yrs old!) & the twins. :teeth: She also has Haley & one of the other *school* dolls..... This weekend 15dd let her play American Girl doll in her room and now she wants Kit -- 15dd has her. :) We'll see... :rotfl:

I love watching the little girls their age dancing. They are too cute.

Our favorites to watch at recital time!!!

This year when 5dd (she was 4) had her recital dh & 22dd turn to me and say *Does she even know the same dance as the other girls?* :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Then dh remembers that our dd couldn't dance for several weeks (end of March & April) because of her accident. *Oh, they had more practice.* And I reply *Somebody has to be the worst dancer in the class* :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: *And it's your dd!!!* :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
My other girls are great dancers so, I have high hopes of Claire improving with age. :teeth:

DH's is T-Mobile with International calling added --- Of course I don't think he even keeps his phone with him on the cruise! :rotfl: :rotfl: He doesn't want to deal with anyone from work when he is cruising! LOL!
