Well we had a scary morning. My grandma adopted two down syndrom boys when they were children and a brain damaged boy. Now they are adults and we live next door to them. One of them gave us a scare this morning when he had a seizure. He has never had one before so we were worried. We called the ambulance and they had him at the hospital all day. He had another at the hospital too. They still don't know what is causing the seizures, they ruled out the usual suspects, so we have to take him for more tests next week and to a neurologist. Hopefully then they will know what is going on. We are so glad this happened now and not when we were on the trip. My sister is going to come stay here while we are gone, but having the whole family here helps. Now at least we can control the seizures and the rest will hopefully be solved soon.

We call the Wonder (the only ship we've sailed so far...) *Boatie* and we all get teary eyed looking at our pics or watching the DCL shows from the Travel channel (we dvr'd them all!) 15dd cries everytime!

Renee- my youngest DD had the same dance recital outfit this past year! (pink tutu)- she actually had a crown and matching doll as well- will she be cruising with us as well?

Wow, the same costume? Cool. Haley has the crown (didn't get it in time for the picture) and matching doll too! What song did your DD dance to? Haley's song was Mickey Mouse's Birthday Party. How old is your DD? Haley will be 4 in November.

Yes, she will be cruising with us. She would never let us leave her home - she loves the "Mickey Boat". This is cruise #4 for her.

That is so scary, my twin sister had seizures when we were little. I may have been young but I remember all of her big seizures.

Wow, I have so much to catch up on. I guess I should never leave for the weekend because I have at least 10 pages to catch up on when I get back. Makes me nervous on how much I will have to catch up next week with my 3 day weekend.

Cant believe we are only 3 weeks out..... I really need to get busy especially with a fish extender. I dont have a sewing machine so I need to get creative or really friendly with a neighbor that does - LOL.

We had to flea treat the main part of the house today so spent the morning rounding up 5 our our 7 cats to put them safely in the room that has already been treated. The term slippery as a greased pig comes to mind for a couple of them.
The bad news: I have to have my left leg done on the 22nd. It should be mostly healed by the cruise though. I do not plan to miss this cruise.

We are driving up to the port so if we can bring anything for anyone just pm me, OK? Carol

here is a tip for fleas.. it sounds crazy, but trust me, this works...
place a sprinkling of TIDE or any powder detergent... (Tide works best and quickest but others work as well) ...all around the edge of your carpeted rooms... enough for you to know it is there, but not so much as to where it looks like it snowed Leave it there for at least 2 weeks... the fleas eat it and die... any eggs that hatch, also eat it and die... this is why it takes 2 weeks... I usually vacuum it up and place a fresh sprinkling...
We have tried the store "flea-bombs" and they don't work as well... they kill the fleas that are alive, but not the eggs...I know it sounds crazy, but this really WORKS.

WOW !!! Don't read the thread for 2 1/2 days and now have to spend 20 min just catching up. Looks like alot of things are going on. Diznylnd and Family invited us to DL and took us too Goofy's Kitchen for DW(Michele) B-day on Friday. We had a awesome time! Kind of reminded of the the Disney Cruise....can't wait to go...Just so close.

Steph~ the AG Place in NYC is amazing- we have been there too many times You can have a birthday package added as well to your meal- we have done that for our oldest when we went there for her to pick out her "Kit". Now she wants a second doll (she already has a Bitty Baby as well), but we told her maybe on her 7th birthday we'll take a trip back to the Store & Cafe My youngest (will be 4 next month) already is asking for Kirsten, but we had Jacqueline (our oldest) wait until her 5th birthday- fair is fair So, she asked my Mom for the twins (she also has a Bitty Baby too) and she'll be getting those for her birthday this year. I love Felicity too- my oldest is hoping for both Felicity and Elizabeth for her birthday next year (yup, she is a planner!). Your pictures are fantastic too! You have a beautiful family!

Amlee... what kind of phone do you have..? What service? Is it a cool satelite phone?

It's a Verzion Global Phone. I can switch it from USA to GSM mode. It will let me make and receive calls just about anywhere in the world. I can't make calls from sea, but once in port. It will pick up the local cell towers and pick a tower to use. I've used it in Fiji, Scotland, and Amsterdam. My parents have used it all over Canada. The only ify spot is going to be Antigua. But there is always the chance that it will work. I've checked and the other islands are good to go.

I hope that nobody has to use it at all, but it's been used before as the only contact to the outside world.

66 year old DD?? Me thinks that is a typo.

I love watching the little girls their age dancing. They are too cute. It will be good for the girls to have friends in the club. It will make it easier and more fun for them.

I can't wait to meet everyone. I really have to read here more so I don't get so behind.

I have T-Mobile also, the only difference is that I don't get cell service in any of the ports (except Key West).
