9/7/06 10 night Wonder Southern Caribbean "Cruising in WONDERland!"

I hope everyone had a great weekend! I decided to stop double-posting and combine them all in one!

T-SHIRTS: I wanted to let you all know I used Sandy's t-shirt design to print and iron-on transfer. It came out great...just like Sandy's, so you might want to try that too.

DOOR MAGNETS: I also printed our own family's door magnet on full-sheet magnetic paper. It came out great! Some of you may want to do that or print on a regular paper and cover with a page protector or laminate, then attach a full magnetic strip to the top and bottom as Dawn suggested. I will begin desgining each personalized magnet and send to them to you via email for printing. Please send me a PM with the email address for the attachment. If printing you own will be a problem for you, please let me know ina PM and I will print it for you and bring it to the sail-away DISmeet. I only have a few full-sheets of magnetic paper left, so depending on how many requests I receive I may have to purchase some addition sheets. Stephanie and Alex, if you get any info on first names and special ocassions for josetann, please send me a PM.

PINEAPPLE BEACH (Antigua): Post #1100 has spa prices and also a request for discussion on sharing taxis or perhaps a van. I think the list for Pineapple Beach, so far includes : Winnyis (Ginny), JiminyC_fan (Sandy), Piglet33 (Renee), TiggerStac (Stacy), HookedonMagic (Lisa) and possibly others I missed. Perhaps we should arrange a shuttle van to pick us up...might be cheaper than taxis. Renee, I think I saw a post that you have been there before. How long does it take to get there? Do you remember about how much the taxi costs?

LADIES LUNCH: We have quite a group going for this gathering. I would like to meet sooner than later too...so we can get to know each other before we're into the cruise. I'm open on our first day at sea on Friday. I got this started because Stephanie mentioned she hadn't tried any of the restaurants for lunch. While the in-cabin lunch sounds WONDERful, I would still like to meet a Parrot Cay or Triton's for a gathering. Perhaps we could do a cabin tour with a snack at Stephaine's suite?

OMG, were you ever right that you guys were going to talk non-stop, I had 4 pages to read!!!!

I am staying at the Aladdin. We are going there to shop, swim, and drink!!!! It will be a lot of fun. My best friend is crazy, this will be my third time going to Vegas.

Steve - great job on the video, you have amazing talents.

Sandy - I loved your shirt, I really hope I can try and get one too. If I can't, does anyone have suggestions on how to do it myself without it peeling off the shirt?

I would love to join the ladies luncheon, but since my boyfriend has never been on the disney cruise before, I think I better not leave him the first few days, he may get a little irritated with me. If you have a lunch later on in the cruise let me know!!!!

St. Lucia - private tour
Antigua - catamaran/snorkle tour (DCL excursion)
Barbados - was thinking about kayak/sea turtles (DCL excursion)

I think it took about 30 minutes to get there and was about $20 for the three of us to go there and less to go back to the ship because we had another family with us.

We decided to go for the full-day pass, which includes breakfast. Someone said that it's really good. We also want to get there as early as possible to enjoy a full day. I have a spa appointment booked there too. As we get closer and everyone has made their final choices, we can check into getting a shuttle for everyone.

On kayaking excersion we have done on cruises, typically it's two person kayaks. If there were an odd number of people, someone usually volunteers to use a one person kayak. Kayaking with the turtle sounds too good to miss. We are signed up for this one too (not sure if its for this cruise or the 11 day cruise). Alex

Totally understand about the Honeymoon! My dh will either be hanging out at the Goofy pool with 8ds or hanging with our 2 older children (26 & 23) since this will be their first cruise. Or both! LOL!
And I will be more then happy to let you knwo if we do it again later in the cruise.

I love the tshirt!!!! Can anyone give me any hints on how to go about getting a good iron on result? I tried doing it last year on the PC cruise and it just wasn't "quality". I know to use a dark transfer paper. I know 100% cotton. Any other secrets? Where is the best place to iron it? I read a hard surface but where might that be that you don't "burn" the place you are ironing?

I am on the turtle and kayak turtle excursion, also. Going to Pineapple Beach. Doing Megan's Bay on our own.

Ok, I am confused. Are there two Heidi's going? Or is the roster wrong? I am Heidi's (Pooh Friend's) mom. Gosh, with two Heidi's and two Sandy's (me being one of them) it is confusing! Or is it my "advanced" age? lol

You made me laugh. I thought I was the only one that hates to sweat. Actually, I will be IN the pool the majority of the time. That is where I spent my sea days on the PC cruise. Never thought I had it in me to be a "pool" person. Even my DH became one.

It sounds like alot of you are doing a kayaking and sea turtle excursion. We were interested in the kayaking, but 2 of our children are too young for it. We are doing a swim with the sea turtles.

I can't believe how quickly the summer is going. Once July 4th comes, it seems the summer is half over. Normally this would depress me, but this year we have a WONDERful cruise to look forward to.

Has anyone bought special clothes for the trip yet? I have been looking quite a bit. So far I have only found a few items.
