Has anyone tried to reserve the couples massage on Castaway Cay? I am afraid it is sold out ...just disappoited about the CC Massage... do you think we'd have better luck trying to rserve that one we board the ship?

I believe they limit the number of spots that can be booked online. So, you might be able to book when you get onboard. Good luck!

Oh let me make a CC suggestion. If you haven't done it before do the treasure hunt that is done there. We did it as a family and had a blast doing it. Plus what you get at the end is a GREAT keep sake!
:thumbsup2 Thanks so much! That is great! We will totally do that! :cool1:

That would be AWESOME! Thanks so much! :cool1:

Check your airlines website- mine (Us Airways run by America West) will let you take on electronics. All the liquid or almost liquid stuff is banned. My husband was ahving a heart attack when he thoguht he couldn't ahve his PSP. That is what keeps him entertained at the airport and on the plane.

I am wondering if they will relax the rules on weight restrictions if they are making you pack everything in your checked luggage. Or like another poster said they might relax the rules a little and let us pack water and some other essentials again. I wear contacts and I hate the idea of not having the solution on me.

I went to a great scuba sale today at Sport Chalet. I got a new mask and a camera with an underwater case. I am all set for the cruise now!

There's the whole issue of weight though. With having to pack all of our shampoo, suntan lotion, makeup, and every other cream and gel we usually take, we are sure going to be overweight to start. I am always right at the max weight for a 7 day cruise without having to pack all of that weight in my check throughs. I am also not real fond of merlot colored white linen slacks and I know my DH would refuse to wear a rose tuxedo shirt! :rotfl: Ziplocs seem like a good idea but broken glass punctures right through...been there- done that! So, back to the drawing board for me...maybe they will relax the rules in a couple of weeks.

You are so right!!I have been there and done that. :teeth: I will try to think of a way to send it. Maybe we can get the bus driver to make a wine buying stop on the way to the port? :rotfl2:

The DCL site indicates all-aboard for Antigua as 9:00pm. I have seen it listed on other sites as 4:30 and also 7:15. I am sure 4:30 can't be right as it looks like some of the excursions do not return until after that time. Would it be safe to assume that the DCL site is correct? I am thinking of using a taxi for sightseeing since no one excursion includes all the things I want to see, and it would also cost much less.

I think I would try to call DCL and see if the time posted is correct. Better safe than sorry.

We got our tropical wear form disneyshopping.com yesterday. Everything fits perfect and I can not wait to get a photo of all of us dressed alike. My DS14 is less than thrilled, but he is puting up with it for his mom and dad.

We are so excited, as we begin our vacation exactly 3 weeks form today. We are staying at Saratoga Springs prior to the cruise. I have a lot to accomplish before then.

I have not decided yet if I am going to take the chance on bringing wine in our checked luggage. I am really afraid of the mess. Also, form what I understand there is a good chance that the toiletries are going to be a mess because the baggage area is not pressurized. Anyone have any good tips on how to avoid this?

Just 3 weeks to go!

Talk about butterflies in my stomach... so much to do... SO much time to do it in... I know I'm gonna pack, un-pack and re-pack everything at least once a week! :rotfl2:

Thank God!

There are NO US restrictions on lap-tops, cell phones, mp-3's ...etc!:cool1:  :cheer2:

I know what you mean. My kids will be much happier on our flight with music and gameboys and PSP.

We finally got our cabin assignment. We went from a Cat 6 to Cat 5.
Cabin 7558. I bought my pirate shirt. pirate: I also have something that will dress it up a bit. I'm going to set up a table in my kitchen and start putting clothes on it that I want to take.

My DH and I leave for Vegas on Sept 1st and return Sept 5th. Sept 6th I leave for FLL so the clothes on the table have to be packed and ready to take with since there won't be time between arriving home from Vegas and leaving for FLL.

I think I am probably going to ship my wine to the cruise line add that was posted earlier.

In regards to excursions I haven't decided anything yet. The only thing that I know for sure is the Pineapple Beach. :woohoo:

It's getting close :hourglass

Chris

I'll tell you what... After our 9 hours of plane travel, I'm gonna look like a train-wreck without make-up, lip-stick, lotion, perfume, DEODORANT!

If these rules stay the airlines are going to have to change and do like Air Pacific does for their clients. When you board an Air Pacific plane in your seat is a little pouch with socks, a sleep mask, tooth brush, tooth paste, and a comb. After an 11 hour flight they are great so you don't have to dig through your suitcases for your stuff.

I know this isn't the best solution, but rubbing alcohol can be used as a deodorant. It won't make you smell fresh, but it will keep you from stinking. I know you can't take alcohol on the plane, but a wet nap will do the same job for you. Just a thought and a idea for those of you with long flights.

:rotfl2: As for the clothes being layed out. One of the back bedrooms at my parents house looks like a clothing truck blew up! I've gone through them all. All I have to do is get my suitcase from home and pack.

Can't wait! Can't Wait! Can't Wait!

I have always put our toiletries in our checked luggage and have never had a problem -- even with large bottles of shampoo! :rotfl: I do stick them in a ziplock baggie -- I have had the top press down and just a little come out.
Our wine will be checked - ziplock baggie, bubble wrap and tight clothes. :teeth:

:Pinkbounc I am so happy there will be more of us at Coral World! :Pinkbounc Stepht5~ my girls will LOVE that another little girl will be there! :Pinkbounc
It sounded the most kids friendly- and my girlies are very much into sea life. We will likely reserve the Ocean Park & Swim & the St Lucia Beach Getaway. Plus we are firming up for the Pineapple Beach Resort excursion with everyone here :goodvibes

My 5dd will be thrilled since it is just going to be just her and I. :) The rest of the family is going to Meagan's Bay -- I don't want to spend that many hours on the beach & no matter what my 5dd thinks neither does she! :rotfl: :rotfl:

8ds & I are doing the Ocean Park & Swimm in St Lucia -- he didn't want to do the 4x4 Green Monkey tour... He LOVES animals but, at great distance. :)

I'm thinking about the Coral World Ocean and Island drive myself. I haven't made my mind up yet.

There should be quite alot of us! :teeth:

That would be TOUGH! Ours is only a 2 1/2hr trip. Just think of David & his family.... they have a 9 hr flight with NO books or electronics allowed!!!!
How can anyone go that long without reading????? Poor Bethan! What s a young girl to do?? I assume Alex will just sleep since he is a teenager.

WOW! It seems to me that most people are getting them -- except DisneyGirlTinkerbell :sad2: and our kids! ;)

Crystal here is some extra pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: I really hope y'all are upgraded soon!
26 ds & 23 dd have a Cat 8 so, at least they have a window. :teeth: I didn't want to give them that! :rotfl: :rotfl: DH is the nice one in this house! :rotfl: :rotfl:

I brought the suitcase in but I haven't put anything in it yet. I got busy and haven't had a chance. Everyone keeps getting their room assignments, but me! I don't expect an upgrade since our discount says we won't qualify, but I want to know where my room is so I can start memorizing which way to go for dinner, the pool etc...

Same with us! I can't ship anything with out a room number either. Which puts a big hitch in my plans as of now.

Happy Saturday everyone.

Good to see you posting again Chipper!

Had some fun this morning. Blew out a tire on the way to Starbucks. Guys at the tire place said I needed four new ones. Yippee....new paws!

I just received a Disney Direct package this morning. Some really cute Tink PJs and some Tink sneakers! Now, if I could just fly....

I tried to order that really cute t-shirt from cafepress....low and behold, they blocked in their "hold bin" since it had a Mickey head on it. So sad, back to the drawing boards for us, Chipper.

I think we'll go up to Disneyland next Sunday. Need a Disneyland fix.

My dd and I hve been shopping for fish extender gifts today. I think we are all set in that department. I am still making my FE and will have to enlist my dh with help on the dowel rod at the top.
On the one hand, he says he doesn't want to get involved with my DIS stuff and on the other hand whenever I ask him for help or an opinion, he is more than ready to help and come up with ideas! I think he is a closet DISer. :rotfl2:

We don't have to worry about an airplane as we are driving but I assume the port will have similar restrictions on their security. We are driving up the day before so I will probably repack some stuff the evening before we board.

My spare room looks like a tornado hit it with all the stuff piled up waiting for me to organize and pack.

Congratulations on all the upgrades! I am sooooo jealous!

Carol

Will there be character breakfast on our cruise? I know on the 7-night cruises, you have the opportunity to attend 3 Character Breakfasts... :confused3
