Come on Carol...
how about slacks or shorts? maybe a hat or scarf? Anything Lime green... a lapel flower, Home Depot Alien Green Mickey Head pinned to you? Nothing?

I'll see what I can do. I do have a DIS luggage tag. Perhaps that would work?

It looks like there will be a lot of us in the corner observing :magnify: ;)

We just got back from our Anniversary Dinner! We went to Macaroni Grill and all 3 of us had bread, salad, entree and dessert(training for the cruise :rotfl: ).
It was Very good and we are all stuffed.

Jim and I had decided not to get each other gifts as we are going on the cruise. I did get him a card and left it on his dresser when I went to work. I left before he got up this morning.

He called to thank me and all the lovey stuff  .

Then this afternoon, I was called to the front desk. There was a large bouquet of flowers and a card. Imagine my surprise.
Ain't love grand!
I guess I'll keep him :lovestruc .

I suggested that to her, she just smiled and shurged her shoulders. So we will see. I don't want her to think she has to be by my side the whole time to take care of me. I want her to get out and explore and make friends. I'm hoping she will break lose just a little on the cruise. She really has had an over sheltered life. Last year when I took her older sister on her cruise she was the same way. By the 3rd day she met up with a girl her age and was hardly ever seen during the cruise. They still keep in touch with each over the net. So I do have that hope for Sally.

Tell her that none of these people know her and she can be whomever she wants to be. :teeth: Reinvent herself for the cruise! :thumbsup2

Carol... Jim sounds like a sweetheart... and your dinner sounds yummy... it is 6pm here and I'm still watching kids, waiting to eat my dinner after they leave. I always tell my DH not to get me anything and imagine my suprise on year one when he actually didnt' get me something! :guilty: he was all apologitic and kept saying "but you SAID not to get you anything!" all I could say was "and you BELIEVED me?"... NOW he KNOWS what I really mean when I say "don't get me anything.. I mean get me EVERYthing!" :rotfl2:

I didn't know that Lime Green was the DisBoards "color". I'm sure to find something in that color....yup, I have a Disney Store t-shirt with Mickey Heads on it, with sparkles no less! Perfect!
To all, have a good night. Stay cool....and remember, we're going cruisin' very soon with the "Mouse"! :wave2:

I can't wait to see your t-shirt.. I'm a sparkley kind of girl too.:teeth:

Carol,

I guess you could do what I'm planning...a t-shirt with my DIS board name and our "official" Mickey head logo.

I don't have any thing in that color. It kind of makes me look sick.
Not a good look to be boarding a ship :rotfl2:
Carol

I have a question/request. I'm not sure who designed the "official" Mickey with all the ports and such. But I would love to take it and put it on my bag that I'm taking to get signed. If someone can tell me who made it so I can ask direct I would be very thankful.

Amlee... I think that may have been me... although I only put it together... I found the image of the Mickey shape on another thread (I got permission to use it) and then added our information... Please feel free to use it and anyone else that may want to use it may also be my guest.

:wave2: Hi Gang

My DH and I will celebrate our 30th anniversary on 9/11. I will be St Lucia and he will be home (sorry honey).

Chris

Looks like we will have to have an extra dessert in honor of you and DH during dinner! :woohoo: (And we'll have to eat his dessert :) since he won't be with us.) :(

Looking forward to meeting you soon...

I was thinking this morning *I wonder how long it will now take us to get through check in....* Right now it takes us at least 1 hr just to check in at the counter.....The last time we flew together the woman told us that we should make our arrangements seperate from DH's..... He has the same name as someone on the *watch list* The spelling of his name is unusual & that makes it significant ..... We're the only people we know that actually HAVE to be at the airport at least 2 hrs early or we would miss our flight.....

David....... :grouphug:

Any ideas for how we should bring our wine for the wine tasting? We are flying in that day and taking the Disney shuttle straight to the port so, we won't be able to stop anywhere to buy it and and bringing it on the plane with us is now out of the question. But I'd rather be safe ....so I understand the new restrictions.

I'm checking my alcohol, wrapped well in Castaway Club beach towels! If they haven't lifted the restriction by then...

Linda.. did you see the post on how to mail things to the ship? You could pack the wine up and mail it to yourself on board the ship...

Here is what you do to ship packages to DCL:

Disney Cruise Line
9001 Marlin Street
Cape Canaveral, FL 32920

MARK EACH BOX IN BIG LETTERING IN BOTTOM LEFT HAND CORNER WITH THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION:

Sail date: 9/7/2006
Vessel: Disney Wonder
Stateroom #
Confirmation #
How many boxes (i.e. 1 of 3, 2 of 3, 3 of 3)
ATTN: HOUSEKEEPING

I printed out a really fun Goofy graphic on a label and put DELIVER THIS IMPORTANT BOX TO: with the info underneath. I also requested a delivery confirmation so I knew that my boxes got to Florida safe and sound. Like I said, they were all in our stateroom when we arrived. I didn't hear of anyone who shipped stuff having any problems. I don't have the phone number of the DCL office in Port Canaveral with me, but the person at the shipping warehouse we talked to was Kelly. She was awesome. Just don't think she knew how many packages she really was going to get before the PC cruise.
(someone else did this... I just reprinted it for you)

Due to the restrictions on US / UK flights there is no way we are going to be able to bring our two bottles with us. We actually went to great lengths to buy a bottle of Welsh wine (very rare) and a bottle of English wine. We won't drink them yet in case the ban is lifted but with our flight in the next two weeks I'm not raising our hopes.

David

I love the logo that has been designed. I was going to put it onto a tshirt. Thank you for posting permission to use it.

Packing should be interesting, not bringing any liquids ... no shampoo, lotions, sunblock...etc.

What about makeup? LOL...even deoderant...I see the buckets of stuff that people are having to throw away...anything jell like too.

It will be interesting...lol. Is anyone going to send a package of items to the ship??

You can always ship your wine to the ship and have it waiting for you in your state room. It was posted above on how to do it or here is a link to a thread talking about shipping items.

I have shipped soft drinks to a friend of mine many many times as he can't get this type in his area. I wrap it in bubble wrap and stuff cotton strips and such until the cans don't move around. I have the box marked fragile and send them via mail. Never had any trouble with it at all.

No makeup or D/O either. Or chapstick or lipstick. I am going to send a box of stuff in the next week or two. I'm shipping our water, wine and a few snacks in an extra suitecase. That way I'll have a big empty one to bring stuff back with me. As for the new rules. Other than my toothpaste and toothbrush I really don't have a problem with checking it. I'm hoping the lift the ban on electronic items. If I don't have my phone with me, I might not know what to do.
