Great idea! OK so we have a meet in the Port under the TV (there is only one right?) until boarding. Then we will have an official meet Nassau morning (Monday Sept 27th) at 9:00 (I dont plan on going to Nassu). I will just say that I plan on going to Parrot Cay for lunch.

Where is everyone staying the night before? I have heard Country Inn and Suites is good but their prices YIKES! I have been trying to get them cheep on Priceline but it is a no go. So I hate to spend $160 to get free parking. I saw where Radisson was offering some type of room for $107 but then parking at the port would be $60 (Right?) so it would be cheeper to stay at Country Inn. Does anyone know if Radisson charges to park at their hotel? If so, how much? I was just thinking that if I go to Country Inn and Suites, I heard their shuttle doesnt even leave until around 11. Doesn't the ship board around 10:30 or 10:45? (can you tell I am a newbie?)

I wonder if we can get seated together in the dining rooms. Hehe Am I being too clingie? Just tell me to back off and I will. I am just excited!! I can't wait! :boat:

Oh man! 10:30?? I have never heard of such! I am planning on my daughter being in bed by then. so the Marathon starts Oct 2nd at 10:30 pm. I am sure I can at least cheer you on SOME of the way! We are leaving Sunday morning. We are driving from Nashville and I dont plan on getting back before Monday, but we will probably have to leave around 10 or so.

OK WHOOPS! I just realized we were in Topsiders, not Parrot Cay! lol Sorry! I misinformed you...we ate at Topsiders the buffet and we sat outside! Parrot Cay is all inside and you are right...they serve you.

Well DANG! I thought there was a sit down restaurant that served you while you can look out. Oh well, I guess we will go there because if the boat isnt moving, I wont be that interested in looking at the water. Afterward I will spend time on the deck. When did you say that tour was? I DEFINITELY want to go on that. I read about another tour that takes you to the kitchens and things. I want to go on that one too!

There's more than 1 TV but it's all in one section...they play a bunch of cartoons for the kids to watch. It's to the right when you walk into the port...past the big model of the ship. There's a whole section of seating there, too.

We have some CM friends who are picking us up from the airport and we are spending the night with them. They will also bring us to the port that day. I cannot remember what time we boarded last time! We were there about an hour and a half before that. I need to go re-read my TR! :rotfl2:

You aren't being too clingy! I love meeting fellow Dis friends! :thumbsup2

Jen- great job getting all the info together! In the past we have boarded around 12:30pm. We usually get to port around 10:30 or 11 because I am so excited and love to be in the first group! Once we were actually FIRST in line! :-)

As for Palo, it is wonderful! We have done dinner there on all of our cruises, but may pass this time and only do brunch. Palo is worth the extra money and a nice quiet night out is awesome! We dont plan on going into Nassau either. Going to enjoy the ship!!! That is the best part...that and Castaway Cay! LOVE IT!

Parking is $15 a day, not a night, so it is $75. We live in Florida, about an hour and a half from port. We will probably just drive over in the morning. The Radisson is nice and has let people keep their cars there in the past. I would call and ask. They may have a cruisers package.

We did that one, too...it was on an at sea day. I was SOOOOOOOOOOOO sick to my stomach that I barely made it with my husband! You do have to go on the day that you board to get your tickets for the kitchen tour. Ours only lasted 15-20 minutes. I remember them giving us fresh cookies and I had to turn around and stare at the coffee pot because I thought I was going to lose it! :rotfl2: It is neat to see inside there!

The walking tour of the ship was the day we boarded. It was before the ship left port. Check the navigator when you get on board and it will tell you the time! It really was a helpful thing to do for us!!!

Well shoot. Disney sure does make it hard for disers to meet huh! LOL how are we going to meet each other? We HAVE to figure this out NOW! lol Yes, I am obsessive compulsive. Love me anyway :teeth:

LOL I was reading that a while ago. I need to go back and read it again. That is how I knew you were a nurse and named Karen which I thought was so ironic since our friend Karen is going and she is a nurse too! lol

I love meeting fellow disers. I used to be on a message board YEARS ago (like 15 years ago...pre AOL) and loved meeting up with them. It got to be a weekly thing! lol Of course, I was single then

Yeah! I remember reading that it was on sea day. I will be sure and head that way first thing! Yeah, I think I am going to have to get there at 10 or so. I want to be one of the first to board to get those tickets. I am so sorry you were sick! I guess that was pre-wrist bands (I forgot the name!) LOL

Karen, our friend, LOVES cooking. She is going to love the wine and dine festival too (is that the right name?). all those cooks from the cooking channel. She will be in awe. Now me on the other hand, I like the competitions. Iron Chef, Chef and the city, things like that. I LOVE LOVE LOVE good eats. That guy cracks me up!! And yet, I dont like to cook. GO FIGURE! lol

Yikes! $75?? I will call radisson. Even if I book through Priceline and get a FAIRLY cheep rate, I could pay them to keep the car there and STILL save money! wow! I wonder if they will let me drive to the port, park, check everyone in, drive back to Country Inns and park the car? I want to get early booking to see if I can get an upgrade and be first on the ship but I wasnt sure if they would let me check in and leave the port.

I am DEFINITELY doing Castaway Cay! That sounds TOO AWESOME! I don't plan on being there all day though. We are not sun people so we will probably head back around 1 or so. I do plan on getting on the island early in the morning.

We love Castaway Cay! We usually spend most of the day there....just chilling out and not paying much attention to time. What a welcome change that will be from the every day rush!:cool1:
This cruise will be different for us because the kids can go "clubbing" LOL!!!:rotfl2: Last time we cruised as a family, Ryan was 2 and Liam was 9mths!
Should be fantastic!:thumbsup2

LOL clubbing.

101 days! Do you believe it?

You like that Jen>?? Clubbing, I came up with that all by my crazy self! LOL!!!!!

Okay, update. I listed our staterooms wrong! LOL! Too busy planning all the clubbing! LOL!
We are in in 5631 and 5633

I cannot wait to go!

I saw 10 pages of posts and was all excited to see with whom we'd be cruising this Fall. But it seems to have fizzled out 2 months ago.
I'm guessing things will pick back up around mid August as everyone starts preparing.

Our Cast:
Me (DH) - 41 (at time of cruise)
DW - a few years younger, lol. (good hubbies dont share that sort of thing, right?)
DD - 3.5 (at time of cruise)

This will be our umpteenth criuse and our second Disney cruise.
Our first was last Sept. 18th-ish Western Carib on the Magic. After that we were hooked.

I'm trying to talk the wife into the FE thing.... She loves Etsy for keeping our DD in cute clothes, so maybe getting her to search on FEs on Etsy will help.

Oh, yeah, duh....forgot to mention that we are back-to-backing it since the economic outlook was dreary in the Spring we were reluctant to book anything, have to make up for it now!

So we are doing this "Breezin' to the Bahamas" cruise as well as the unnamed 3 day leaving 9/30.

Anyone else taken B2B (back to back) cruises on Disney before? Any tips/advice? I'm hoping to secure the same room so we don't have to move our bags around. Sad that we have to leave the ship on that day but we understand then have to clean/inspect/service.
