9:25 AM Phase A For Magic Kingdom

We were on the bus from Coronado Springs to Epcot this morning and it took about 40 minutes due to the crazy traffic.

However, we had an awesome driver named Connie who kept us entertained and well informed!
Unfortunately, I had to head back due to sickness while my family celebrates without me.

Here at MK now. We made rope drop and plan to be here until 12. We have been full of energy all day, although we are starting to slow down a bit now. We have been all over the park, it is crazy crowded but we came in with a plan and I feel like we have done a lot so far. The months of planning and getting tips here on the disboards have finally paid off. Here's our day so far...sorry for the quick typing (bad punctuation and etc).

We got back to our hotel about 10 mins ago. We used Gate 18 (POFQ). It was wall to wall people to get out but we made it back. We had lots of fun but are exhausted.

We ended up going up to Magic Kingdom around 8pm tonight. The fireworks were awesome--so worth the crowds!

It normally takes me 35 minutes from my front door to the turnstiles. We left at 1am, and just got home at 3:05am

Your gate was directly across from mine. Yours also emptied out sooner. We still had about 2 1/2 bus loads of people to go when your gate went empty..

So long story short - yup, there are people who go without a clue.

For me, watching people get turned away at restaurants really bothers me.I know people go to WDW with high hopes and having them frustrated because they are turned away at the table service meals just adds a little sour note to their experience. From my observation, there are a lot of people who are clueless.

Yes - I will never stay at POR again because of the bus situation - and we went at a less busy time (1st week December 2013). I had asked my friends to book at POFQ but they mistakenly booked at POR.

Why wouldn't you ride the por/pofq bus and walk vs stand in line longer waiting for the correct one
That's what I would have done anyway if my line had multi pick ups left and the other was empty

I have friends who are FL Residents AND AP holders and are still completely clueless about touring strategies, park crowd levels, and honestly did not even know about FP+. They have never heard of or experienced 60-70% of the rides/shows and have never booked an ADR. (To be fair- they have had Universal APs much longer and do not understand why they shouldn't treat Disney parks the same way). I have tried to make some suggestions in the past, mostly treat it as "to each their own", but when they said they wanted to go on CHRISTMAS DAY I had to do something. I flat out told them they needed to be ready for one of the busiest days of the year, but hey, if you LIKE extended lines just to get into the park, be my guest. Thankfully they changed their minds after I showed them pictures of what the crowds look like. So yes- many, many poor clueless souls

We don't mind the crowds but our magic bands have been a nightmare. Not opening doors, can't get in park and so on. Went to front desk 5 times yesterday and guest services this morning.��

In case they didn't know that's possible, if the POR line is long just go to POFQ's line. It's a simple walk to POR from POFQ. Ok in the dark nothing feels simple but it actually is.
