hiya!
sorry i've been a bit awol too, i'm still ill (its been 9 days now and i'm getting really bored of being ill all the time). been at work today, and managed to just about avoid losing my voice, although it did nearly go a few times, i've just got a really bad throat at the mo, and my voice is coming and going. but need to be better by the weekend, as gary's booked for us to go see disney on ice. it was supposed to be a surprise, but he sucks at surprises and i guessed what it was :rotfl:

the job's going well, i'm working the next 2 days, then have got 2 days off, i dont think i'll take any overtime this week, i really need a few days to chill out and try and get better. but the job seems to be going well, we get tracked on how many add ons we sell (gift boxes/bags, and purchase with purchase), and i'm doing really well, i seem to be beating everyone every day, saturday i was on till for my entire shift, and today i was on till for 6 out of 8 hours, which suits me fine, i think they're intentionally putting me on tills now :))

yeah it should be fun, i think gary booked the 3pm showing, so we'll probably get the train up in the morning then go look around london. one of these days i really do need to go see wicked though, i really want to see that musical.
hows work?

Work has been very slow. I don't think we've had one person come in for our department all day. I've just been reading the study guides for the specialist exam. I don't have a set date to take it but I just want to get it over with. It's not the must exciting thing in the world...

what have you got to study? i remember you saying that its quiet in winter, but i didnt realise you meant THAT quiet! how many customers are you getting in each day at the mo then?

I have to take 3 destination specialist exams by the end of next year. I'm going to do them as quickly as I can to get them out of the way. The first one is the North America specialist exam and there are three study guides. I have to read about each state and each Canadian province. Some of it is interesting...others (like the flyover states) not so much!

We didn't have one person yesterday. Monday was pretty busy and today I've had a hotel booking. It's different everyday but for the most part, it's fairly quiet. It doesn't help that it's been pouring the past two days.

no customers the entire day?? the would drive me mad!! lol
i've got 2 days off now
looking forward to chilling out for a bit, got some laundry to do (woo, not!) then i plan on doing absolutely nothing!! lol

I have off tomorrow. I plan on sleeping in, visiting my friend, and then going home and doing nothing! I worked 8 days in a row and I'm tiiiiired.

i know what you mean, i've got 2 days off and i need it!! lol

how have yall been?
Well greg and i have decided to go back on the land and sea in sept of 2011 on teh disney dream that way we can have more time to save money and spendit to stay in a deluxe resort and get the deluxe disney dining plan(alot of food but that way we can do all te 2ts places)
I looked on the DCL website and they have the mock ups for the Dream and the water coaster they are going to have on the ship is so COOL.
But we wont be able to get a nav. Veranda since they have changed them into ocean view staterooms so we will be getting a regular veranda. Im gonna price it out in nov when they open up the booking.

A water coaster? What's this? I'll have to check out the website.

Sorry, Karen. I was working on my TR and have been MIA on all other threads.

oh yeah its called the Aquaduck and it ends in a lazy river they have moved the mickey pool next to the family pool (the Donald Pool) in between the forward and midship funnels.
the water coaster looks cool in the computer generated pics i cant wait to see the final product greg said he wouldnt ride it so i will be doing it by myself (its because it goes off the side of the ship just a tiney bit and the tube is clear.

I just checked out the DCL website. It looks awesome. It's a Crush n Gusher on the ship, that's insane. Looks like we'll have to book a cruise for 2011!

it would be great if yall could go when we went i need someone to ride it with me since greg wont he will ride any other ride but for some reason he wont ride that did you look at the new dining rooms? we are actually thinking of doing the 4 night and then doing 4nights at the park after it so we may do palo on the cruise if we do the 4 night

I think we'd like to do the four night since it would give us a day at sea and we could explore the ship. I did see the new dining rooms, the one that goes from day to night sounds pretty cool. I told Joe about the water slide and he's all for going in 2011! Maybe we'll go the same week. What is it Greg doesn't like about it? That it's clear and you go over the side of the ship?

i've got a slight feeling that gary's planning on booking the 2011 magic transatlantic so i cant go on the dream, but you guys should come on the TA, its 14 nights!! lol
i'm back at work tomorrow, but going to london to see disney on ice on sunday :)

i went down to the theme park i used to work at yesterday to drop off a birthday present, i'm due to be going back there in january, but looks like i might be going back sooner, my boss asked me if i could come back sooner to help cover some shifts, so it loks like i'll be having 2 part time jobs soon!

i'm watching enchanted at the mo, never seen it before, its ok but kinda cheesy!! :rotfl: but i did get round to seeing up today too, its kinda a sad film considering its mainly aimed at kids!

well i've just found out that i'm starting back at the theme park on tuesday, much earlier than i was expecting but its all good, i need the money! so as of tuesday i now officially have 2 jobs!

Look at you! You went from worrying about finding a job to having two jobs! :) Awesome!

I looooove Enchanted. I love that it pokes fun at all the princess movies. And James Marsden is so over the top it cracks me up.

I know UP is an animated film but I really don't think Pixar's films are aimed mainly toward kids anymore. Wall-E wasn't much of a kid's movie either. I think they're more concerned with making good films that can compete with non-animated movies. And they're doing an awesome job because UP was better than 99% of the movies that came out this year!

yeah UP was a good film but i loved the dogs, they were funny!

squirrel!

just got back from london to see disney on ice, i like going into london every so often but glad to be back, there's just no way i could live or work there, it'd drive you insane! the show was quite good, had a nice lunch out in chinatown, and had a (quick) look round some of the shops. back to job 1 tomorrow, then off to job 2 on tuesday!
