9/24/09 3 Day Wonder - Cruise Meets, and FEs, and Goombays oh my!

Gregs only request on the cruise was that we do the fishing excursion on castaway cay i wasn't looking forward to it until i pulled up pictures of fish that people have caught in the abaco bahamas and i am really looking forward to it now( i know we aren't gonna get any HUGE fish) compared to what i usually catch here anything it bigger!
Who asked about the photopass thing? I think greg and i would be interested since it will be our honeymoon we are doing the land and sea thing(if it isn't obvious from my ticker ) but i think it would be nice to have a few pictures taken by people other than myself or greg.

I only collect certain pins: ones that are given to us for free and ones of characters dressed as other characters. For example, I have Mickey dressed as a pirate, Donald dressed as Mickey, etc.

What time are most excursions on CC? I'm sure my uncle would LOVE to go fishing but our wedding's probably from 10am-noon.

Mikkel - That's awesome that Jason wrote the show! I will definitely check it out. I'm not sure what time most excursions begin at CC but what if you just did one of the getaway packages where you get snorkeling equipment, rental, etc so that way you could do things at your own pace?

that sounds a great idea, we didnt book any excursions last time as we didnt know what to expect and we didnt want to have to be somewhere at a specific time, i'm thinking of the jetski ecotour thingy this time but not sure yet.

that sounds a great policy to me!! gary decided about halfway through the holiday that he wanted to get in on the action and i think we probably ended up spending about $120 if not more on pins, thats why i'm thinking of trying to pick up some cheap ones before we go!!

jenny, it was stacy (futuredis) who suggested the photopass share, if you PM her you can join in, at the mo there's me, her and donna (lilo's mum) doing it, it's costing us $33 each, but if you join in it'll drop down to $25 each. much better than the $99 if we each buy seperately here's the PM she sent me with the details so far:

So here is the plan, Lilo's mom will be in DW after our cruise, until the 4th. With you being there the 12th, we'll need to be a bit careful in doing it. From what I have read, we have 30 days from the time the first picture is taken to get our card associated with the account. The leaves Lilo's mom until the 12th to get her cards added which I think should be fine. I think ( will re-check) we have 30 days from the first card being added (think we can all agree to NOT add any to the account until after the cruise) to do all our editing, etc, and I think we will be fine on that.
I'll go ahead and organize / order the CD. The recommended time is not before 30 days of trip (have 60 days or something to activate it??) So best time will likely be 2 weeks or so ahead of your trip. I'll get money from you two before ordering ($33), once i get it and order the CD, I'll create an account for us and send you guys the username and password. We all get our pictures taken (tons!!) and when we get back, add our cards to the account, edit pictures, etc. I'll verify when everyone is done and actually order the CD. When it gets to me, I'll sort photos into groups, make CDs for you guys and get them shipped out to you. When it is closer to the time to go (and we know for sure how many people) I'll send out an email with info, dates things are due, etc.

oops my bad!! yeah, PM stacy, i dont see the problem with more people joining in, stacy's offered to organise it as i'm sorting out the FE thing, so drop her a line.
think we're going to have a deadline for adding our cards to the account and another for adding borders etc, then we'll get the cd sent and stacy's doing copies.
thats what i think is happening anyway!! lol

amazing price!!! we've had photopass photos taken the past 2 visits but never bought the cd as never got enough photos to make it worth $100. but now for $20, we'll be in EVERY photopass queue!!! lol

That's what I just said to Stacy! She got back to me with the details and it looks like we're definitely in. I told her we're going to get our picture taken by every photographer I see in the parks!! If you get your picture taken on DCL, can you scan that to the photopass card?

lol, we took some photos last year for characters in films we'd never seen, and were'nt even sure who they were!!

Ok... I'm starting to get Disney Drunk.... (Where you start to giggle at just the THOUGHT of Disney World and you can't think about much else, even the pile of work staring you in the face at the office.)

Joe loves all the Pixar movies so I think we need to get in line for every Pixar character we see now that we're getting this cd!

Jen- yeah i am relying on yall to get pictures of me and greg on the cruise (but w/the addition of alcohol i am afraid to see what they will look like ) i dont think i have done the photopass thing but i think since it will be our honeymoon i want as many pictures as possible to remember it.
Well greg and i have started house hunting i hope we are able to find a house before the end of august but i know one thing i am having a yard sale before we move so that i dont have to pack too much stuff for the new house plus that will give us extra Disney Funds to blow!

yeah i'm thinking the combination of alcohol and a camera on the cruise could be a scary thing!!!
its a shame that DCL dont do photopass, or that the only onride photo you can add is test track.
but we'll still give it our best effort to fill up our card as much as possible!!
