9/24/09 3 Day Wonder - Cruise Meets, and FEs, and Goombays oh my!

ive been trying to be good all week but kinda fell off the wagon over the weekend and i've put weight on which i'm bummed about.

i know what you all mean about trying to buy stuff over the phone, my maiden name is tan, i even used to spell it out, T-A-N, and still 99% of the time people would put an extra N on the end.
my address is even worse, its goldsworthy drive, great wakering. i've lost track of the amount of wierd spellings ive had on that. the woman booking my DVC stay after the cruise spelt it out to the DVC CM, and it ended up on my confirmation as goldswarzkey dr, great wickery. i did check with her to make sure it didnt matter than they misspelt it though.

i'm subscribed to mikkel's planning journal on here, and she's bummed out at the mo as a lot of the people originally coming to her wedding cant make the rescheduled date. really feel for her, but i said we'd all stop by and say hi!

Jen- Prof. X was in Wolverine he was at the end standing in front of the helicopter but they ironed out a few of Patric Stewarts wrinkles greg said "did he have a face lift or something?" i said no its just the magic of computers
My mom gets the spelling of her last name questioned all the time her last name is BALL!! i am always like as in baseBALL!!!
Mary- You have to see the X-Men movies they are GREAT!

i was looking for things to do on the nassau day, and i found out sandals (the all inclusive place) does day passes!! theres also another one called breezes, waiting to hear prices back from them, but we're thinking it'll be a good way to spend the day (we got off the ship last year in nassau and were back on again within the hour, we didnt think much of nassau).

i have only been to the breezes on Jamacia and that was just their beach b/c our SUCKED but their beach was nice so i am sure all of the breezes are nice from what i saw of it the one next to us looked really nice. We are gonna stay on the ship when we get to nassau we may get off and go to the straw market only b/c greg has never been there i have on the other hand been there 3 times and i really don't like it that much. The last time we went we used the beach right next to the Atlantis resort and it was really nice we did the double banana boat (a first for me) it was ALOT of fun. But since i have never been on a cruise where we get to spend alot of time using the pool on the ship and i would like to and so would greg.

you will have to let me know the prices of those two, I was also thinking of them. The other thing I was thinking is going to Atlantis, ever since I saw the movie Holiday In The Fun (Mary Kate & Ashley movie -- it was a high school obsession, I have seen them ALL. Switching Goals is a great movie, I highly reccomend it...) I have wanted to go there. I could have booked it on hotels.com last week for only $180...but I didn't. Now I will wait and see. Otherwise, I am thinking of doing the sea lion encounter. They are so cute!!

the sandals day pass is $110 each. apparently the breezes is about $60 ish each. i'll let you know when i hear back from breezes. we were going to stay on the ship but if i can go somewhere like that and its not too expensive i'd love to go there instead.
we were thinking of doing the scuba diving through DCL but its dead expensive for a dive and its 5 hours long but you only dive for about an hour and a half of that.

My aunt wants me to get certified to dive so that i can come to the bahamas and dive with her and my uncle when they are down there during christmas. I dont see greg getting certified since he doesnt feel comfortable going into water over his head even if he had oxygen to breath.

Lainey - I meant he's not in a wheelchair in Wolverine. I know that he's in the movie.

I saw Mikkel's post in her PJ and told her that she has all of us wishing her well and we'll all say hi if we see her. She's going to have a great wedding either way and the people that can't be there will be sorry they missed it.

I'm pretty sure we're going to stay on the ship during Nassau day. I don't really like it there all that much. The only way I was getting off the ship is if we could go to the waterpark at Atlantis but it's way too much money. I'll hang by the pool and take advantage of the ship being nearly empty.

we cant decide whether to stay on the ship or not. we left for an hour or so last time then were back on the ship. i would like to stay on the ship, but then again i'd love to go off and do something different this time.
i think it'll depend on how much breezes say it is for a day pass and whats included.

Sorry Jen i'm a little slow today. oh we got our PAPERWORK!!! Woohoo!!! I have to double check that the adult beach has the lunch served there so we can eat lunch there instead of eating with everyone else(the line was long on my last cruise)

I was going to do an excursion in Nassau if something really caught my eye but...nothing has. Ah well. I don't mind staying on the ship at all. Considering it's only a 3 night cruise, I'll use that day to take pictures around the ship.

Thank you karen that helps me alot. From looking at other people pictures we may have an almost deserted adult beach on our cruise.

we had lunch there while we were on our bike ride, it was a lot less hectic than the food places at the family beach. we didnt actually go on the adult beach but it was a lot quieter than the family beach.

I plan on being all over Castaway Cay. I tend not to pay attention when I snorkel though. When I went snorkeling in the Bahamas a few years ago with NCL, I swam out near a rock and a wave broke on it and I started choking on salt water. Yuck, not fun!

I got paperwork too! I haven't had a second to open it but we got it. I've been SO busy. I wasn't at home at all last week - my family was in town and I'd literally leave home in the morning for work and not get home until midnight b/c I met my family at the hotel (Portofino Bay at Universal which was amazing) after work then we'd do whatever, then I'd drop them off and get home around midnight or later!

So I'm playing catch up in LOTS of ways. My parents come back from Boynton Beach (down south in FL) Wed. or Thurs. then leave Friday and then Jason's parents are in town for a week! BUSY! (We were supposed to get married this past weekend originally so our families just kept their flights and had vacation instead...so we've been entertaining.)

if everyone's getting paperwork, it must mean mine must be somewhere in the middle of the ocean right now!!! cant wait til it arrives, i know it'll probably be the same as last time but its all still exciting!!

hows the wedding planning going anyway mikkel? sorry to hear that some people cant make it, but i'm sure all the important ones will go
