9/24/09 3 Day Wonder - Cruise Meets, and FEs, and Goombays oh my!

hows everyone's day going? we had a bank holiday today, so me and gary went to cambridge for the day, i had my money from working the weekend, so we went to go shopping and waste it on some rubbish!
we went all the way there, spent a couple of hours walking round the city and looking at all the shops, and all i managed to spend was £10, £3.20 of that was on the parking, and £6.80 was on coke zero and dinner on the way home. that was it! everytime i go out specifically to spend money i always come back empty handed!
i'm going to use the money ive got left just as general spending money, then hopefully at the end of the month i'll have some money left over that can go towards the holiday. so i guess its not all a waste!

with all this talk of FE gifts, i'm really looking forward to seeing what you guys come up with! it all sounds so good and crafty!

i've been spending the whole day wishing i was in disney (more so than normal) as my friend flew out yesterday and she gets married on wednesday. i was supposed to go but i didnt have the money at the time to book it. i really wanted to go too. so i keep thinking right now they'll be doing this, or they're doing that tomorrow...... i cant wait til she gets back so i can hear all about it.

My day has been ok. It's really dreary outside and I hate driving in this because there's always traffic. I did a couple things for Disney today regarding clients; one was a final payment and another was a deposit. I'm so jealous these people will be there before I get to go! When there vacations roll around (mid to end of August) it'll be almost time for all of us to go. So I guess, in a sense, I can look forward to there vacations as well!

At least you can live vicariously through your friend when she gets back!

Gosh, I've been away for a bit but are we still the only party with any kids? My middle son is panicking because he is a social animal and is afraid he will be the only kid on the ship.

My daughter and I took the cruise when she was 14, I ended up only seeing her at dinner! She made friends in the teen club and ended up not wanting anything to do with hanging with mom. Which turned out for the best since I was seasick most of the time.

I asked about the deadline to join the FE because I wanted to make sure my gifts had all of the same things in them, but I decided to not sweat it over the gift bags. I have enough to make three days of 10 exactly alike...after that new comers will get gift bags with different stuff in them. I don't want to stress trying to pick up the same exact goodies!

Amy now i am getting worried we havent gotten ours yet(but Greg's memory about what he gets in the mail isn't that great ) Oh amy i needed the family name for each of your 2 cabins so that i can finish yalls crafty FE gift i am making for the early birds in our FE group i also need the name of the people that are in each cabin i am putting them on the bags for the cabins(i am making special bags for the kids in those cabins so yall will get a total of 4 bags 2 per stateroom).
Jen- the only thing i am curious about Prof. X is how he came to be in a wheelchair. But i would like to know mystiques background alittle bit. greg and i were watching X2 and i thought what happened to Nightcrawler after the second movie they just cut him out.

Funny you haven't gotten the cruise packet yet. For some reason whenever I get stuff from Disney, I never get just one. Last week I got two cruise packets, and three DVC packets to give friends for referrals. Typically when I book trips through The Walt Disney Travel Company I get three of everything, it's really strange. Bob seems to think that I get the extra mail because Disney knows how excited I get to see their envelopes show up at the house.

I have no clue about the x-men or wolverine or any of that!! I haven't seen any of those movies. Although I WAS wondering why the theater was so busy when I went to see Ghosts of Girlfriends Past...

I'm definently getting a little stir crazy for Disney!! I think it will get better once it is finally summer so we have more to do and get to go away to my MIL's house in MI for the weekends. Makes the time go faster!!

Karen, you are lucky to get bank holidays!! We get only 6 holidays at my company. At least when I worked at a bank in college, we got 10!

Jen, the Blackhawks are doing pretty good!! The Bulls lost over the weekend (sad!), but the Blackhawks are still rollin'! Hopefully they can beat Vancouver tonight, especially because we are at home. I will have to watch the game after my golf lesson.

Mary, you should check out the X-Men movies. They're actually really good. X-Men 3 was great because of the fact that Frasier Crane was in it. His fight scene made the $10 well spent.

I've been following along with the playoffs a little bit. I saw that the Blackhawks were winning their series. I don't really care who wins in the east, so long as it's not the Penguins.

Lainey - True, I have no idea why Prof. X is in a wheelchair. He's not in Wolverine. What happened there?

Donna, are you making a goody bag for every night of the cruise? What is everyone else doing? I'm making one goody bag for each cabin. The cabins with kids in the rooms will have more toy type stuff in them, of course. I hope you all like everything I picked out. I haven't bought any of it yet but I have ideas!

Yay! The August hours are posting as I type!! So, that means...only 1 month until the September hours!! Then I can really start my psycho planning mode!!

I am thinking of making a smaller gift for at least one of the other nights on the cruise. I know what I want to get, just haven't found it yet. I think I will check out party city or something.

Does anyone know when the MNSSHP tickets will be available online?

I have no idea when the MNSSHP tickets will be available online, but I wish they would get to it already!! I want to get my passholder ones, but I like doing it online. I also wish they would get with the online ADRs! They have it set up now so in their FAQs it says that you can call or "book online" that is a link, but it just links you back to the same page. I am SO looking forward to being up at 11pm the day that ressies are available!!

At least I still have June 11th.........

I don't think they've ever gotten the online ADR up and running. The TA got emails sent around about it and nothing every materialized. I like buying the tickets online too, it's easier. Plus, my last name is long and annoying to spell out over the phone!

Well, since my last name is Kasch, you get all kinds of spellings. Cash, Kash, Casch...etc. Never do they spell it right!! It's fun when they are trying to find your ADR, and they are like...i'm sorry, I don't have any parties for Cash...I always say "Kasch with a K"!!

Not usually. My MIL started saying the last name strangly, with a German accent (since it is a German name), that way it sounds more like it starts with a K. Maybe I should try that!! LOL. But it is a habit now to say Kasch with a K. Or just K-A-S-C-H Kasch. But they still spell it wrong. Why does nobody listen??

I tried a new healthy choice dinner for lunch that looked really good on the commercial. It was gross!! At least I have my bottlecaps!!
