9/24/09 3 Day Wonder - Cruise Meets, and FEs, and Goombays oh my!

DH & I went for free dining last September, and it was hot. And humid. But it wasn't SO bad. We just got up early, went to the parks, then after lunch went back to the room to rest or swim. Then we went back out later when it was cooled off. It worked out well. I would SO trade the crappy winter that we get here for a couple of extra months of humid!

I guess since the humidity for some reason here in Georgia is so bad that the humidity in Fla doesn't seem that bad to me.

i'd welcome the humidity at the moment! its done nothing but rain and strong winds the last couple of days, i want some sun!!

I'll gladly take the hot and humid weather in FL. I went to Universal in November and it was 50 degrees the entire week! Bring on the 80 and 90 degree temps!

I meant the 1st seating for dinner, sorry! Everyone seems to be in 2nd seating, I'm in the 1st! I need to make room for those later night buffets!

Mikkel - I love Harry Potter! I'm still annoyed that they pushed HP6 back. I can't wait til all the attractions open up at Universal!! It looks like it's going to be amazing.
I saw I Love You, Man this weekend too. Paul Rudd is hilarious.

Lainey - I don't think I could survive without chocolate!! I just got back from Hershey and brought 5 bags of candy home with me!

there's now loads of rumors going on about the free dining, its supposedly going to be available to disney visa card holders tomorrow, so i should know by tomorrow if it'll be open to general public at the weekend, so then i can book the cruise!!! sorry about waffling on but i'm slightly obsessed with getting this free dining at the mo!!

jenny, i'm with you, i dont think i could do without chocolate either, gary bought me home 3 bars of the creme brulee lindt chocolate last week, you cant get it here in the UK, i bought 5 bars home from florida last year!!

and add me to the impatiently waiting for HP6 to come out!! it was supposed to come out on my anniversary last year but it got changed. grrr!! when is it supposed to come out?

my stepdads parents live close to Hershey so when ever anyone comes to visit them thy usually take them to hershey (unfortunatly i am not one of the ones they took i haven't been i want to go the rides @ hershey park look cool) Well our nice weather is gone and the Rain has started but atleast my car is back to being black instead of yellow. yeah i was really ticked when they changed the release date for the HP6 movie and now thanks to my DSis in law i am hooked on another book series that has been made into a movie Twilight. I read all 4 of the books in a 4 week span!! i have never done that not even with the HP Books so now i have 2 movies to look forward to this year.

we saw a wedding last time we were on castaway cay, it was lovely! it'll be surreal kinda knowing the person who's getting married!
it was a gorgeous ceremony though, hope you get the weather that we had last time, it was great weather for a wedding! it absolutely chucked it down with rain on our wedding day, we were at the grand floridian and they had to move the tables because of the rain!

Karen - I'm sure they'll be releasing the free dining for you soon! I hope you're able to book the cruise. The more DIS people, the better!

The Harry Potter movie is scheduled to come out July 17 here. Funny, they pushed it back to the same weekend Dark Knight came out last year. Like that's a lucky weekend or something.

Lainey - You should def try to make a trip up to Hershey Park! It's a lot of fun. It's one of my favorite local parks cause it's so big & clean and there's never really any lines.

I'm reading the Twilight series too. I just finished up with Eclipse. I have to buy Breaking Dawn. I get paid tomorrow so I'll probably make a stop at Target this weekend to pick it up! I liked the movie but it was cheesey!! I'm hoping New Moon is better. I'm Team Jacob all the way

Mikkel - If there was a finger crossing smiley, I'd use it right now! I really hope it doesn't rain while we're in Castaway Cay! If I see someone walking around in a wedding dress, I'll know who it is! Oh and I subscribed to your PJ!

i liked the movie and i have read all the books but i am on the opposing team I am TEAM EDWARD!!! (along with half my family) The last book is REALLY LONG!!! but i listened to it on audio book b/c i am in my car so much already it was easier to listen to it then trying to read it but now i have no one but my DSis-in-Law to talk to about the last 2 b/c my mom so far has only listened to twilight and new moon she is half way through Eclipse and i have already said too much to her(i have got to learn how to keep my mouth shut) i would love to go to hershey all of the rides look great and like i would have alot of fun but everytime i have been to PA is when it is FREEZING!! and they close the park down then or atleast that was what they told me

i have read all of the books well technically i have listened to all of the books i am in my car so much that i have the audio books. i thought the movie was good but i am easy to please in the movie department i like pretty much all movies( except horror movies) it sucks cuz the only person i can talk to about the books is my DSis-in-Law and she lives about an hour away and i don't really like talking on the phone that much. I wish my mom would hurry up and finish the last 2 books b/c i have already told her way too much about what happens in them (i have got to learn to keep my mouth shut) I will def be making it a point to go to Hershey the next time i am in PA but the last few times i have gone up there it has been FREEZING COLD and i was told (by family members) that the theme park is closed during the winter.
As much as i like the guy playing Jacob in the movie (he is a sweet kid) i am on the Opposing side TEAM EDWARD!!!!!! (along with most of my family)

Happy Friday everyone!! Although I am at work today and I usually do not work on Fridays...it is only a half day to file a State report, so not too bad. I know my dog is mad because we didn't get our cuddling in this morning like on a normal Friday!! LOL

Mikkel -- I looked through your PJ, and you wedding is going to be beautiful!! I love all of the favors and invitations you have put together, and your flipflops for the wedding are awesome! You remind me of my oldest sister, she is very crafty as well!

Karen -- I checked out your wedding pictures -- I am so jealous!! LOL, i'm jealous of everyone that got married at Disney I was such a Disney Rookie back then, I had no idea. But, my DH's family has shown me the way, so for my next wedding...(that's what I always tell DH, haha). Did you get your free dining booked? I saw that it came out for Visa Cardholders yesterday.

I haven't read the Twilight books yet, but the way everyone talks about them, maybe I should!! I really want to read the Shopoholic books though. I put them on hold at the Library, but only got the second one so far. Can't read the second before the first!!

Lainey, your posts from yesterday magically appeared! I wonder what was up with this thread. Yeah, Hersheypark is closed in the winter. All the parks around this area are. It's only a spring/summertime/early fall deal. It's not fun going on rollercoasters in cold weather. It hurts.

Mary, I've read all of the Shopaholic books. You will fall in love with Becky Bloomwood. The books are great! So funny. Unlike the movie.

WOOHOO i can post again!!! Six flags and white water are about the only parks around here and they begin opening in late march on the weekends and stay open all the way through halloween sometimes into November(not the water rides of course) There is a theme park down in south georgia that stays open all year i think i guess the warmer the climate the longer it can stay open.
Mary- the Twilight books are great I didn't want to read them at first but my mom got the audio books and i could not stop listening to them once i started i finished all 4 of them in a 3 or 4 week span.
