9/24/09 3 Day Wonder - Cruise Meets, and FEs, and Goombays oh my!

i am not always crafty but when the urge hits me i can't quit doing crafty stuff the calendars started as a christmas Present for everyone in my family a year ago and now everyone in my family thinks they are supposed to get one each year.

I made a calendar for my mom last year of pictures of the family for Christmas. She didn't get one this year and kept mentioning ihow much she liked it and how she wished she got one. I guess I'll be making another one next year!

They have the touch screen order kiosks at the quick service place in the Contemporary. They work pretty well. That was in December when I was there, and they didn't have them yet at CK's. But if it makes it easier for them, i'm sure they will put them in all over.

I'm thinking of staying at maybe the AS Music for a couple of days before my conference with my DSis, probably the 20th - 22nd or so. She's only been to Disney once, and it was a while ago on a school trip. Hopefully they will release the free dining so we can book that

I'm hoping to pay off our cruise very soon. We have the Romantic Escape At Sea package, so we can good at 105 days, or June 11, so it will def. have to be paid off before that. I can't wait to make those reservations!!

Hi all! Just booked this cruise for our postponed wedding (read about it on my PJ)...September 26 wedding on Castaway Cay assuming we don't have to postpone again!

It'll be our third cruise together, my fourth Disney cruise (well, any cruise)...and we're super excited!

i'll hopefully be coming on this cruise, well i havent booked it yet, i'm planning on booking a package through disneyworld.co.uk to include the dining plan, but if the US site offers free dining in a couple of weeks, i can afford another disney cruise!!
so fingers crossed i'll be joining you!
it'll be me (Karen, 29) and DH (Gary, 28), we went on a 3 day disney cruise last november and LOVED it! cant wait to go back on the cruise! we'll be (hopefully - havent booked it yet!!) staying at POP for 12 nights, then the 3 nights on the cruise then one night at POR before flying home.

so keeping EVERYTHING crossed that the free dining comes out so i can come on another cruise!!

I forgot to add that you get to book your excursions/spa treatments/palo ressies at 105 days ahead of time, with the suite guests. I am obsessed with planning, so the sooner the better!!

Hey yall sorry i haven't posted in a while i have been busy i finaly got by birth certificate in so we can go get our passports and i have been doing more wedding planning. One of my bridemaids is coming in this weekend so we are all going to get their dresses ordered but half of them will have to be shipped out of state. Mary we were thinking of doing the Romantic Escapes Package but i thinkwe are just gonna do the stateroom gifts that you can order. To all of the new comers to the page and to the cruise WELCOME!!!! I was begining to think that me mary and jen were the only ones.

What did everyone do over the weekend? I was busy! I went to a concert in Hershey and raided Chocolate World (I got like 5 bags of candy!). Sunday we had a family party for my grandma's birthday (88 years old and still kickin!) and Monday night we took her to Maggiano's for dinner. It was a nice, long 4 day weekend but it went by too quickly!!!

I went to one of my bridesmaids baby showers this weekend and i am getting ready for my Great Great Aunts 90th birthday party this weekend I am almost done with that calendar now i just have to print it and bind it. I also have to go get a dress to leave the reception in that will look good there and on the Cruise (did i mention i really don't like DRESSES!) Oh i know this is off topic but i have lost 10lbs!! So i guess when i go shopping this weekend i will have to buy new clothes also.

Congrats on losing 10 pounds!! I want to tone up a little before vacation. I need to start running or something.

I have to buy a couple summery dresses too. I never really wear dresses though. I bought one for a wedding last summer that was laid back and haven't worn it since!

congrats on the weight loss, thats a great loss! i'm trying to lose some weight at the mo but i keep finding the chocolate!!
i know what you mean about not liking dresses lainey, my wedding day was the last time i wore a dress and that was 3 and a half years ago! i'm just not the girly dressy type.
me and gary had a nice relaxing weekend, it was lovely weather here (makes a nice change, it normally rains here in england all the time) so we went for a nice walk along the seafront, then sunday we went out with my parents for mother's day.

and great news!! theres serious rumors starting that free dining will be available to book on march 30th, so looks like i'll be getting our cruise after all!

I just saw that post about free dining too! I wonder, can you add it to an already existing package or does it have to be a brand new booking??

i think technically they'll cancel your original booking then make a new one, but if they do it right you wont even know that theyve done it.
its driving me mad waiting for this!! but on the plus side if they do get round to releasing it on the 30th, thats great as then i dont have to book the UK offer as a back up, then have to cancel it and lose £100 deposit.

Really? Even for Land & Sea packages? I may have to check on this. It would save us quite a lot of money! And leave more for souviniers, which we almost can never budget into our trips!

I'm a TA so if I get an email announcing the dates and when you can book, I will definitely let you know. If the DIS doesn't beat me to it, of course!

wow that'd be great thanks!! i'm not sure if you can do the land and sea and free dining, i think i might have heard something on here somewhere that you cant. if you pop over to the codes and rates sub board of the resorts board and ask there, they should be able to give you an answer.

so what cat have you booked on the cruise then? (if and when free dining comes out) i'll be booking a cat 12 like i did last time, we didnt spend that much time in the room last time and we were really lucky last time and got upgraded to an amazing cat 9 room midship right by the elevators!!
