9/18/04 Eastern Magic- We're in the home Stretch Now

I want to send out the first draft of our group list next week (have company coming this weekend so don't know if I will have time). I will email to those that I have information and addresses for - I can get them from your profiles. Have a great weekend everyone!

We leave Friday for a trip to WDW and Disney's Vero Beach Resort. When we get back I will be longing for our cruise even more!

We are so excited! This 7-night cruise will be our first :D

My husband and I will be travelling with our two sons, Zack (12) and Noah (10). We live in SW Florida and are looking forward to exploring the Carribean.

I just got my Passporter's Guide from Amazon.com and I'm looking forward to having time to devour it.

I booked our cruise only 90 days out on June 21. Then, just this week Disney announced FL Resident rates. I was able to get the FL rate and so went from a Cat 11 to Cat 8 and we're still spending $100 less than we had originally booked for :p

I'm looking forward to gleaning all of the tips I can get from these message boards.

Blessings,
Cindy

You family will have a wonderful time. My twin DDs will be in the 10-12 group too (they turn 11 on the cruise).

There are a lot of great tips on this board! The 7 day is the best. This is our first Eastern, but we did do a Western a couple of years ago. You guys are going to love it!

Welcome Cindy, I'll be travelling with my son and nephew who are both around your kids ages (along with 2 girls and and two more boys) maybe they will meet in the club.

Just wait til you crack open that PassPorter, you won't be able to put it down;) Look for my magical memory, it's on page 143:Pinkbounc

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY EVERYONE!!!

OK - the spread sheet is ready but the only email addresses I have is Jan's and Lucy's. If I click on the email at the bottom of a post I can email but can't attach. I tried the cut and paste but it wraps and is ugly. So, if you would liike a copy you will need to PM me your email - or tell me what I am missing so I can get the list out.

Gail: Thanks for the list -- I plan to open the attachment at work.

Westjones: I just realized that we'll be "neighbors" on the Magic. We are booked in 5520. We took Barb's advice and booked that room when we were on the Wonder last year.

Hard to believe our cruise date is getting closer. One more summer holiday to go.

Welcome 4formickey! Ask any questions that you have - we have many repeat cruisers in our group as well as those on the regular cruise board.

I have compiled a list (Excel format) of all those cruising, names, children's ages etc to share with everyone. If you would like me to add you to the list, please PM me the information and your email address and I will be happy to make the addition and email you a copy.

We're booked for this cruise. I'll be having a birthday on the 21st. (Tracy). Bringing DH - Dave, DD- Amy (7), DS -Daniel (4), Meemom and DSIS - Lisa. Staying at Pop Century for 2 days before cruise. :earsboy:

Welcome Tracy! Please let us know if you have any questions - lots of experience from within our group as well as the cruise board. I added your family to the spreadsheet I have been working on - send me a PM with your email address and I will be happy to forward it on to you.

I'm curious. Setting up pick up at the pier at the end of the cruise (I hate to even think about it). Looks like we get off around 7:30, when we've cruised on other lines, we never got off the ship before 9. Our flight doesnt leave until 3pm - when do they usually make you leave?

Hi all! I just finished sending emails to those that gave me addresses today (sorry to be so late). If I forget to ask you - let me know if I can add your email to the list - I don't want to do this without your permission. Hope I didn't leave anything or anyone out - please let me know what else you would like added and we can just keep expanding the list. I will send out every week or so with additions and revisions if I get any.

There were a few names on there that I got from the cruise list but I think I will remove them - we have not heard from them here. You can tell which ones they are because there is nothing but a name.

Have a great evening!

Add another one to your list! :)
It will be myself: Karen, 34 (by then) and my DH, Joe 37. This will be our 4th Disney Cruise. Like many of you, and we booked last September , (we were on the 9/6 cruise), but I didn't know about this board until recently. We've always cruised in September to be on the ship on our anniversary. We're missing it slightly this time (our anniversary is 9/11) because the special cruise sounded exciting.

Yippee, less than three months to go!

Welcome Karen! I will be happy to add you to the list and send you a copy. Could you email me your email address - I did the list in Excel and can't attach to PM's. Also let me know if you want me to add your email address to the list.

10 weeks from this very minute we will be landing at MCO!!!

I just checked DCL's website and noticed that DCL is stating that when we are at port in Antigua, the ship departs at 6:30 p.m. instead of 5:30 p.m. The St. Thomas departure time is 4:45 p.m. - prevously 4:30 p.m.

Thanks for the spreadsheet Gail. I noticed that Dave and I are the oldest cruisers! I was just a kid a few years ago!

Jan

Can you all believe that 10 weeks from today it will be us waking up and heading toward the terminal??? We will get through the rest of summer and school starting fast enough and then we can haul out our suitcases - although I do have a stash of items that I have been collecting.

Jan - glad you got the spreadsheet open, I would have done it is Word and maybe I still should. You and Dave are not alone in the older generation, Dave and I are right there with you!

Have we decided on a DIS meet time (s) and place? Having done this before I do suggest early in the cruise so we can match faces and names during the week. Saturday always seems so hectic to try and meet up but if we tried Saturday and then maybe again on Sunday for those that we missed???

Everyone have a great weekend and enjoy your family and other activities.
