@sillysox, we too are doing the B2B so only have the time in port between disembark-embark. DH and I are very active and like to hike/walk. Is Stanley Park walking distance from the port?
I haven't walked it personally, but i looked up google maps and it's suggesting it would be about a half an hour walk. here's a link showing the seawall route:

I have biked most of the seawall that runs between canada place (cruise terminal) and stanley park (actually the seawall continues all around the park), it's a really nice walk or ride, with a marina, a couple of restaurants, coffee shops (haven't tried) and some residential along the way. Now, once you get to stanley park, I don't think there would be enough time to walk all the way around the park?? I have never done it but it seems like it would be a long walk. Certainly you could walk some parts of it. You would have to look at the distances and decide. (the distance all the way around the park is about 7.5 miles I believe) Here is a printable map of the area if it's any help.

If the weather is decent and you have about 2.5 hours to spend(or 3, if you want lots of photo stops) , I'd highly recommend renting bikes and doing the tour of the whole park, it's really really beautiful, especially on the far end of the park, and you can get some great photos of the lions gate bridge, among other views... here's a link to a map showing some bike rental locations nearby the cruise ship terminal. There are lots more, if you do a search online for "stanley park bike rentals, you'll see there's lots in the area

in fact, here is a link to some pictures of when my hubby and I took the kids, rented bikes and went with my friend to ride around the park, this was in September this year to give you a taste of what it's like..we didn't really stop much to take pictures, but you might get the idea (Hoping we have similar lovely weather next year!!)

That is some amazing info on Vancouver and Victoria! Thank you so much. That is really helping me make plans. I can't wait to go. I live in San Diego where the primary color for all trees, grass and water is brown. It's a great place, but not very picturesque unless you go to the local mountains. Might as well go to Canada, so I will!!!!
Hopefully you will get lots of great scenery..Green is our specialty!! Well...the grass goes brown after a hot summer...mostly we try to conserve water, but it varies.
Great information on Vancouver! Wish we had longer. As we are on the b2b, I am looking for a city tour between disembark time and re embark. Anyone know if there are any suitable tours? We are not normally tour people, but I am guessing this is our best option on this occasion?

I'm sorry I don't know myself, but I'm sure Google is your friend here..
