I am a late booker so missed out on the FE List I was just wondering if there where anymore peeps that diddnt make the list?
I am not bothered about gifts for ourselves but would have loved for my Granddaughter to have recieved some unexpected gifts being her very first cruise I just want to make it as exciting as possible for her is there anyone else with children that we could exchange gifts with just an idea

I know peeps have had their FE gifts bought and sorted long back and I fully understand this. It wasnt for me that I wrote the above post it was me thinking of my Granddaughter who we love dearly as we do all our Grandchildren I was just wondering if anyone else had missed out that may have children. Maybe I am just feeling guilty and the post isnt about us lol if so just ignore my waffeling on. and I will go back to hehehe

I've been slammed busy too (of course I'm thrilled to have a job right now, not tempting fate or anything, nope, not me!) so haven't gotten them posted yet. I know Calm Seas has a grandaughter and there's at least one other group so I'll look back over the thread (after my SQL Server Users Group meeting tonight) and get them posted up tonight.

I know we've talked about meeting up on the first sea day at 4:30, how about Diversions? The kids can come in at that time so it sounds like a good place? (We've got Champagne Girls at 1:00 for those of us doing that...)

We must have been writing this @ the same time OK I hold my hands up then I am the guilty one for messing everything up lol story of my life.

OK I am officially stressed. I leave in 15 days and have so much to do. So I went to dinner tonight to try to get out and relax! Now if I could stop working 10-12 hour days that would help.

Air Traffic Controllers in Spain will vote on Thursday if they will strike because of cuts in break time and overtime imposed by the government. If they vote to strike, they must give 10 days notice before they strike.

Just in case anyone is reading back through the thread and runs across this, they did not vote to strike, which is a good thing, it means I don't have to hunt them all down and force them back to work!

I just realized we'll be in Naples on a Sunday. Does anyone know if this will affect what things will be open or if the street shops will be closed? thx!

I've got the information on Calm-Seas, and have a PM into 1st Cruise to get the info on their 3 year old DD so I'll update again as soon as I get it!

If you have more recent gadgets... look at the info on the power adapter.
I know that on my computer and camera battery chargers they will work on dual voltage. Just have a plug adapter. Just make sure they are dual voltage before you plug them in... or it will not be pretty.

Oh so THAT'S what happened! I get it now. Yes, my camera and ipod must be dual voltage. Sorry!

Thanks to a wonderful DIS friend, he reminded me of some FE gifts I made and I am all set with FE gifts. Just a clarification - is it per person? Per children? Or per room? I thought it was at our discretion meaning we could decide. Sorry, to add any confusion. Any confirmation would be appreciated.

Ok, today I went into Best Buy to "see" what they had. I got a $50 gift card for my birthday. I was going to buy iTunes cards with it to upload or download songs and audiobooks when I came across something that will work much better for me.

I've been downloading some maps and online tour guides for some of the places we are going to on the Med and TA. Well, I've been a bit worried because the battery doesn't seem to last as long as my old iPhone. So as I'm walking past the Apple section I come across a package by Griffin of a wall charger, car charger and a backup battery. It costs $59.99 but with my card it only cost me $15.64 to pay the difference.

The reserve battery will give you an additional 6 hr of music listening and video watching on an iPod Classic and on the iPhone #3G, it will give you an additional 1 1/2 hr of web time (if you surf a lot) and and additional 2 hrs of phone time. The reserve battery attaches to the bottom of the phone where you plug it in and the best part is that the wall charger can be used to charge both your spare battery and your iphone, ipod at the same time.

This particular package works for the following:

iPhone 3Gs - 16 & 32 GB,
iPhone 3G - 8 & 16GB
iPhone - 4, 8 and 16GB

So just assuming anyone else has the same battery life problem I have, this might be something you want to look into also. I got mine at Best Buy in the Apple section and is made by Griffin. The other version only carries the wall charger and the spare battery. But they both run $59.99. One says made for iPod Works with iPhone and the other says - Made for iPhone works with iPod. Either way, it works for both. But I needed a car charger.
