#84 Apple Car from Cars movie

My wife was talking about this and I just looked this up but apparently, there's an diecast car using #84 in white with an Apple logo on it. I did some searching and it seems that if it's the real deal, it's going price is about $1000! Yikes! Seems cool but dang that is expensive. I think it'd be kinda cool if Disney released more special edition "cars."

Ebay shows them selling at around $50 a piece and there is black version as well. They also have a couple others (trucks and forklift). Neat!

Anyone know where these were/are sold at? Walmart maybe? Nascar shows? WDW Property?

I don't know where people got their hands on these but the ones for $50 are the fake ones. The real ones are going for a lot more than that.

I found out that it appears that you could get the Apple car by buying the Motor Speedway of the South set back when it was available and apparently, only 1000 sets were made. Guess I missed the boat on this.
