I Feel SOOO much better after finding this! So my $100 gift card can be used in combinations adding up to the total amount. Geez, i was worried! I got the 100 b/c it was the best deal for $8.

Getting $100 in one certificate is no different than paying $8 for 4 certificates of $25 each.

I'd add that once someone gets a certificate as a gift and signs up at restaurant.com, they will begin to receive the emails with the frequent offers of 80% discount (I NEVER buy other than at 80% discount.) In other words, your gift recipient will eventually know you spent $8 for that gift to them and not $100.

Very sorry if I caused you any panic! I misunderstood your initial post to say that you'd purchased $100 certificates for your friends for specific restaurants. I was referencing say a $100 certificate to Joe's Dinner or something. Those were the ones I was saying I couldn't justify buying because two of us just won't eat $200 worth of food at once!

I just bought more certificates at Restaurant.com and noticed a change. The certificates don't expire after one year any longer in WI, either! I thought of this thread and wanted to come back to correct my earlier post. I never would have even thought to look at the new certificates had it not been for this thread.
