8 days - 14 ADR's - No Dining Plan - PICS PICS PICS!!! *Completed with Links! Enjoy!*

Your children are very cute, and you are a lovely lady yourself. Thanks for sharing your photos with us. :)

About your husband--he proves that there is a lid for every pot. I could never date a man with eating habits like that more than once--no less marry him--but you created a beautiful family together. :)

I think it was awesome of Ohana not to charge you for the kids. Very nice of them. :)

Thanks for the great Tusker House review. It's just about time to make my ADRs and Tusker House Breakfast was one I wasn't quite sure of. This review made me decide to o for it, so thanks! :goodvibes

Great Reviews! your kiddos are just too cute :goodvibes

and i feel ya on the MIL thing we took her to Disney twice, the first time tho I had a meltdown! :rotfl: I had to threaten her the second time that I would leave her there if she didnt behave (and while that might not seem like much of a threat, my MIL couldnt find her way out of a one way street going one way :rolleyes1 I kid you not) so she did behave the second trip!

Great review so far! Love the photos too and the shirts are great!

You must have a ton of patience! What with DH and MIL!;) We are usually a family of 3 (my DM72, my DD12, and myself) but one year my 2 Dsis and DNiece (adult) came as well and my younger sister and I had a few words when driving to the Kennedy Space Center. After that when we drove anywhere of any distance we took both rental cars!:rotfl:

Thank you! I have a decent amount of patience but I can only take so much. I tried to look past the complaining and weird comments as much as I could (after all, I was in Disney and happy as could be despite however they were feeling at the time!) but everything did come to a head on the last day and there was a bit of a blowout :sad2: I'll save that story for the trip report though.

We took an afternoon break on our AK day so DH could get his pizza fix in at Pizzafari. There was no line when we entered but when we left the que was FULL! Perfect timing. I was also really excited because this is one of the few (if only - not sure on that one) counter service places that will accept Tables in Wonderland. DH ordered himself a cheese pizza which came with the salad that I agreed to gobble up.

The kids ordered the same cheese pizza which also came with grapes & a cookie.

60.jpg

MIL ordered the Anitpasto Salad and she loved it. Lots of good chunks of meat in it. I probably would've ordered this if it weren't for the black olives.

57.jpg

I sneaked a pic of DH chowing down...

On our first trip we ate in this same room and I never noticed the ceiling...

DSC_0179-1.jpg

DD had fallen asleep so we let her be. No need to wake a sleeping dragon, right? This was the line when we left:

DSC_0182.jpg

Pizzafari is just one of those "eh, okay" places in WDW... the only reason we really went here was because of DH. If it were up to me, I would skip it... Flame Tree always smells so good to me but I've never been :rolleyes1

Ahhh... Boma. Need I say more? I LOVE this place. DS and I ate here on our last trip and at the time we had 2 prior meals that day so needless to say, we were so full we could barely enjoy ourselves but what I did manage to taste was AMAZING. I was very excited to bring MIL here. I knew she would love it. We arrived prior to the restaurant opening so we waited around awhile and finally we were the 4th family to be seated. I only made a reservation for MIL, DS & myself. There was no point to bringing DH to this one and DD has been in a little picky stage herself so I didn't want to run the risk of her not eating anything.

DSC_0242-1.jpg

We were seated and MIL ordered a haberno margarita (here we go again ) DS & I got milks. We headed up to the buffet for trip #1.

My plate (I know I had the watermelon rind salad, cous cous and some type of spinach/quinoa salad plus the yummy meat of course):

MIL's plate:

DS's plate (as you can see, money well spent... apparently he just did not feel like eating actual FOOD on this day):

61.jpg

DSC_0249-1.jpg

MIL & I also loaded our bowls with the yummy goodness of the seafood gumbo. I am in love with this. I dream about it. I can taste it as I'm typing this... I found the recipe online (thanks to a fellow DIS'r food reporter) and plan to attempt to make this someday.

63.jpg

By the time we finished our first plates, MIL had finished her first drink... so she ordered another. We went up to get more food...

I got a salad with mango dressing. Eh, it was interesting I guess... not really something I would want to try again though.

66.jpg

I also got the chicken/corn chowder which was awesome as well.

65.jpg

I got a little hodge podge plate with a few goodies.

67.jpg

MIL called the waitress over to compliment them on their seafood gumbo. She went on and on and on about it. She had enough IMO. Time for dessert. I enjoy the majority of their desserts. I'm not a huge fan of the zebra domes but the mango stuff is delish!

DS loves them as well...

My plate:

DSC_0254-1.jpg

I'm pretty sure MIL opted to have no desserts and she went for a third bowl of gumbo. DH & DD were sitting up in the bar area watching us eat by this point.

This is officially my favorite place to eat in all of WDW and I cannot wait to return. I may even make 2 ADR's here next time just because it's that good.

Ahhhh...the review I've been waiting for...BOMA's.

My DH has a VERY exotic palate & I think he'd LOVE their menu offerings. I'm not sure about my teens, and actually, myself, but looking at your plates, I think I could find enough to enjoy along with trying something new. The pics are wonderful! I think we'll try them on our next trip so thank you for taking the time to post such a detailed report.

You must be the first person I've read on here that DOESN'T like those zebra domes. They've made me curious to try them. What's inside of them?

Thanks! I really love their salmon on the menu (which I forgot to mention) as well... it's encrusted with almonds I believe... yum! The zebra domes have a chocolatey taste to them and I'm not a HUGE fan of chocolate. It may have a hint of coffee as well... or maybe those were the ones with the small straws on them. Either way, coffee and chocolate are not huge on my list of likes. I'm more of a fruit lover.

Boma serves salmon prepared several different ways, so you don't know which one you're going to get on any particular night any more. But the one with the nuts - which is one of my all-time favorites - is actually crusted with pistachios. Very unique!

On the other hand, if you go and the salmon is covered with small red and green strips, run away. It's some kind of 5-alarm peppers. HotHotHot!

Thank you for correcting me. I would LOVE to try the pepper one... the hotter the better in my book. It's not hot enough unless I'm crying and my face is red. lol..

Onto Day #6. We had a big MK day planned out... lots to do and lots of surprises in store. I made an ADR for 'Ohana's... it was a bit last minute but I'm glad I did. I love their breakfast. DS and I had it on our last trip and the characters are fantastic! We were there for the opening of the restaurant and the second family to be seated. I did not take as many pics this time because we had pics from last time and it was all the same (and maybe I forgot since I was so nervous about my big surprise to DH - parasailing!) So here are the pics that I do have:

Everything was pretty standard here. The kids LOVE the bread. I'm a huge fan of Disney bacon. I don't really purchase or cook bacon myself at home (it costs a lot and not really the healthiest) so when I'm at Disney, I load up. I don't think I could eat bacon right now if you put some in front of me. I'm that sick of it. The juice was amazing once again.

Our server was excellent. Everything came quickly and tasted excellent. We polished off close to the whole platter (couldn't believe it!)

Onto the bad... DH & MIL complained about how cold it was. Seriously. It's 90 degrees outside... enjoy the cold! Nope, all they did was complain almost the entire meal. I just tried to ignore it.

I originally had Kona booked for this morning and I'm glad I switched. Next time I will try Kona though. It sounds so yummy!

Once we got into MK we took a walk through Adventureland and upon passing Aloha Isle there was no line. Everyone always says how there's a HUGE line here but everytime I go near it, there is none! I love it! So yes, I finally got my favorite treat in all of WDW.. the Dole Whip.

72.jpg

I had to share with the kids. They know what's good.

DSC_0250.jpg

I keep saying how I'm going to buy a bag of this mix and make it at home but first I need to buy an ice cream maker. K, this is starting to sound expensive... all for a Dole Whip? Still totally worth it!

While DD and I were in BBB, everyone else grabbed something to eat at Pinnochio's Village Haus and no, they didn't take any pictures... they only ordered pizzas... boring. So after we were done at BBB I was hungry and I had wanted to try the Lobster Roll at Columbia Harbour House. I got fries with it and a drink.

Somehow they messed up my order and gave me a tuna sandwich which I sent back immediately. They corrected it and didn't charge me more (yay)...

73.jpg

74.jpg

The fries were good but the kids polished them off in no time. I couldn't taste a piece of lobster in that mayo mess. It really looks very different from the picture they have on the menu :( I still ate it all because I was so hungry.

DS really wanted to go on Haunted Mansion again and DD was sound asleep so MIL stayed with DD so we could go with DS. She sat there for a good 30-45 minutes without no one bothering her. The rain had also started by this time and the place was pretty filled up when we returned.

I'd like to return to try the fried shrimp...

We had a 6:45pm ADR for CRT and ended up going up to the check in at 5:15 to see if they could get us in earlier. No problem. We woke up DD from her slumber (big mistake)... and rushed her into the castle to meet Cinderella and get the kids' pics taken with her. DD bawled in Cindy's dress :thumbsup2 Poor Cindy had no idea what to do with her (and neither did I)... The picture is truely a depiction of DD's attitude at that moment. It's hilarious.

We were led up the swirly staircase and brought to a table. DD got into a much better mood once we sat down (thank goodness!) So bring on the food! (DH did not join us... there was no point to paying that much for him to eat a cheese pizza :confused3... I believe he headed back to Pinnochio's for a grilled cheese)

The bread & butter on the table:

77.jpg

MIL & myself finally agreed on something... appetizers & entrees at CRT. We got the same of both.

Rock Shrimp Cocktail. Yum. This was great... a little spicey with corn on the bottom. I enjoyed it. MIL thought it was "different" :confused3.

76.jpg

As for entrees we both ordered the Roasted Beef Tenderloin - Sliced Roasted Beef Tenderloin with Duchess Potatoes, Asparagus, and a Chasseur Sauce.

Mine:

78.jpg

MIL's:

79.jpg

I loved this... I thought the meat was excellent, the potatoes were very yummy and the asparagus was perfect. I wish I had more time to eat it (princesses visiting our table took up a lot of my eating time.. grrr) MIL enjoyed everything except the potatoes. She just made a funny face when she tried them.

The kids got the grapes and cheese for an appetizer.

75.jpg

DD ordered a cheese pizza for her entree. She loved it and ate almost all of it.

80.jpg

DS ordered chicken nuggets with mashed taters & corn. He ate a lot of the chicken nuggets but not too much of anything else. He had his eye on the princesses.

81.jpg

For dessert I opted for the Chef's Dessert Trio. The more I can try, the better. I enjoyed it although I wish I had opted for MIL's dessert in the end. The sample I had on my plate was amazing...

85.jpg

MIL got the Almond Cheesecake with Lingonberry Jam. YUM! She liked it. A lot.

83.jpg

DD got the Decorate Your Own Cupcake for dessert... she did an awesome job decorating and then proceeded to lick off just the frosting and decorations. She ate no cupcake. Nice.

82.jpg

87.jpg

DS got the Decorate Your Own Ice Cream Sundae for dessert. He loved it and ate most of it.

84.jpg

All in all, great meal and excellent service. The server gladly took my TIW card and had my 20% refund put directly onto my credit card with no issue. It made the price a little more bareable. I would do this meal again... maybe during free dining ;)

Poor Cindy had no idea what to do with her (and neither did I)... The picture is truely a depiction of DD's attitude at that moment. It's hilarious.

What? You tell us all about it but don't post it? Tsk!

Enjoying this muchly despite that faux pas. ;)
