8 am PS at Chef Mickey's

Is that too early? Too late? We are staying at AKL. What time should we leave the resort to ensure that we make it to CR in time?

And what's a good park to go to after breakfast at Chef Mickey's? This will be on a Wednesday in May.

Any thoughts?

We ate at Chef Mickeys at 8:00 on a Wednesday in July last year.
We left ASMO at about 7:00, however we took a cab to the Poly with our luggage because we were checking in there. After checking in we took the monorail to the CR and made it in plenty of time. I think if I were relying on buses I would be to the bus stop at 7:00, but if you are taking a direct ride(your car or a cab), I would go a little later, 7:15 maybe.
We went to MGM afterwards and were there by about 9:30. I dont always find it necessary to get to MGM for opening, like I do the other parks, because none of the shows start right away and some of the rides dont either. The big rides that you can do early have FPs so theres no problem fitting them in between shows later on. We have actually done MGM after an 8:00am PS at CMs twice now and it seems to work well for us.

My first choice for a park after Chef Mickey's would be MK. You can monorail or walk to MK from the Contemporary. My second choice would be Epcot. You will have to take the monorail to TTC and then transfer to the Epcot monorail.
