8 Adults in 2 BDR VILLA

The OKW villas have two separate sinks in the bath areas (1 by the shower/toilet, and one outside by the jacuzzi.) Thus you'd have 3 total when you include the 2nd b/r. BCV units would only have 2 total.

This is incorrect. The BCV MBR/ bath area has 2 sinks, one by the tub, the other in the shower area. Plus, the toilet is a separate room behind another door, which is nice. You'll have a 3rd sink in the lock-off.

Since you booked through CRO you won't get the 2nd bed, maybe you'll want to bring an air mattress as a back-up for one person. A lock-off might actually be a nice option, giving the 4 people in the studio an extra sink/microwave/coffee area (if they're up early they won't disturb the people the 2 people asleep on the sofa bed in the living room). You'll also have that extra sink to use, bringing your sink total up to 4.

I agree that the 2 b/r is going to give you all more space than 2 studios or regular rooms, plus the w/d, etc. People may come and go at different times (a benefit to being within walking distance of MGM and Epcot!) which helps. Give some thought to who goes to bed early and who rises early and place them so it makes sense.

Good luck! We did a group of 8 last May, including my 18 yr. old dd and her 3 friends in the studio portion and it worked out fine. I'm sure you'll have a wonderful trip. :)

OP, are you sorry you asked yet??;)

We always do a 2 bedroom unit for our family of 4 - DH and I plus DD's age 21 and 24. This is just perfect for us. We did 6 adults a couple of times in a 2 bedroom and although it worked out fine, it was the maximum I would ever put in one.

My fear for you is that with 8 adult women trying to get ready in two bathrooms (two showers) to get out to the parks in the morning or whenever may become very difficult. Just keeping track of which towel belongs to who may be a challenge! LOL!

I would have gone with 3 studios....

My big worry is that especially with a two bedroom, all beds are not created equal. Two someones are going to get to sleep in the king bed in the bedroom. Two someones are going to get the next best bed - the real queen in the two bedroom. Two are going to have the foldout in the two bedroom and two poor suckers are going to be stuck on the foldout in the living room - and with any bad luck at all, one of those will be a kicking snorer - leaving one person with the worst bed and the worst bedmate. With an additional bit of bad luck - one of the people in the king will be so clueless as to forget to unlock the door to the bathroom for the folks in the living room after use, and wander into the living room at 5:30 to make coffee before the folks in the living room are awake. You would have to be traveling with nuns destined for sainthood not to end up with someone who has hurt feelings at the end of the trip.

Sounds like a plot for CSI!:rotfl2:

Since you are staying on cash though, at least you will get daily housekeeping and towel service!

My concern also would be with the sleeping arrangements. Two adults on a full size sleeper sofa is not my idea of a good time. Our room last October at BCV still had the old style sleeper sofa and it was miserable!! The bars were bent and the mattress did not lay flat. A good nights sleep is so important for everyone to get along and enjoy their trip. No sleep makes for ornery travelers!! Good luck. Just make sure everyone understands the sleeping arrangements before you go so there are no surprises.

No worries there, BCV now has the new sleepers and everytime I tried it out (my dd slept on it) I was dying to sleep there....so comfy! Definitely consider bringing an air mattress for the people sharing the full sized sleeper though.

I just stayed in the BCV 2 bedroom this past May with 4 adults. My opinion is that it is WAY TOO SMALL for 8 adults.

I am used to OKW and the difference is size was amazing.

Well the advantage of the 2 rooms would be 4 queen size beds and two day beds.

With a 2 bedroom villa, you are going to get one king bed, one queen bed, one queen sofa sleeper and one full size sofa sleeper.

So it depends on whether you are going to use the kitchen and laundry area.

Bathrooms are about equal in my opinion. In the villa, in the second bedroom you will have a vanity outside the bathroom, and the bathroom will have toliet and bathtub/shower. Master bedroom will have jacuzzi tub, nice but hardly ever used by us, a sink in that area, then a sink with the shower area and a toliet room that can't be accessed while someone is in the shower.

Two regular rooms will have double vanity outside each bath, and toliets and bath/shower in the bathroom. Similar to the second bedroom of the villa.

As far as having more room, the villas, as to sleeping; the rooms would win out for me. Sleeping on a sofa bed to me is torture.

Since you are on a cash reservation and will have daily housemeekping and towel changing you could set up a rotation as to who sleeps where to keep any hurt feelings in that area to a minimum. For those who suggested an air mattress we got one at Walmart that is a twin raised one and it worked great- just remember to bring the extra sheets and a pump also.
