8/3/08 Disney Wonder 4-day: Check in here!

*bump*

still trying to find fellow DISers on this cruise.... although the whole ship to ourselves would sure be nice....

Hi Michellem118! Thanks for starting this thread.... I was hoping someone would. I guess if its just you and me going - then maybe we will get 1st choice of the Walt or Roy suites????:rotfl2:

Okay, its me (40), DH (38), DD (will be 5), MIL and her boyfriend :goodvibes

MIL has been on lots of Carnival cruises, the Queen Mary, but not Disney yet so it should be lots of fun. Can't wait!

Oh.....and WAY TO GO GIANTS!!!!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

(cheaters never prosper anyway :goodvibes )

Woo-hoo! We're not alone on our cruise!!! :rotfl:

This trip is me (29) & DFi (26) for our honeymoon (so, uh, he'll be DH by then, LOL)! We've never cruised at all before, but we're DVC members, so we spend a lot of time at WDW. We splurged a bit on this trip, and used ALL of the DVC points available to us, but we're sure it'll be worth it.

You will have a fantastic time!!!! Just be prepared, the days go by very very fast once you get on board

Anyone else on our cruise? I know there are a lot of lurkers around, please say "hi" if you're joining us! :teeth: :wave2:

Are we really the only ones booked????:confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Sorry to disappoint you, but we'll be joining the party! I hope me and my wife, our 6 yr old son, 11 yr old daughter and 13 yr old niece won't be too disruptive to your honeymoon! Actually, the boy will be turning seven years old somewhere in the Bahamas, so that should be a good time.

Yes, welcome!

I'm glad to have others along for the trip... seems like the big ship would be kinda lonely with just 2 of us... :rotfl:

Hi all!

Sorry to ruin your dreams (or fears) of rattling around an empty ship, but we'll be on board too.

We're a family of four with two kids (daughter age 13 and son age 9), and we live in suburban Philadelphia.

I can't wait for this cruise, and I've already picked out my lounge chair at Castaway Key!

We'll be heading down to WDW for a few days before the cruise, so the cruise will be a good way to unwind from the "go-go" atmosphere of the theme parks.

We just got in the mail yesterday an information packet from Disney about the cruise, so it really seems like it's finally getting close.

Is anyone planning on doing any of the excursions at Castaway Key? My daughter really wants to do the parasailing, but I'm not sure if she'll like it or not.

Your daughter will love the parasailing. My daughter, who's a bit dare-devilish, took the parasailing excursion last time we cruised when she was about 8 years old and can't wait to do it again. I had to go with her; I don't know at what age they are allowed to go alone.

My 13 year old niece is coming with us, but sadly we don't know her that well and I don't know which if any excursions she'll want to try.

We'll also be at WDW for a few days before the cruise. Where are you staying?

We probably won't do an excursion at CC, but I think we're going to swim with the dolphins in Nassau. We'll be booking that directly through the company though, as the DCL excursion is just a dolphin encounter & not an actual dolphin swim.

We did the Nassau Dolphin swim last year and loved it. :goodvibes Very very special memories. Fantastic time!

We'll be staying at the Wilderness Lodge for several days before the cruise. I think I am more excited about this trip than my kids.

Thanks for the feedback on parasailing. Much appreciated.
