Arlene I hear ya!!!! Many of the 10 yo my son knows also have cell phones. We will not be going there anytime soon. They are always with me so why would they need one. Besides they loose everything.

I don't have a cell phone so my kids certainly aren't going to have one!

Lisa---get this ---you know how we are always talking about getting overcommitted somehow?????

This guy (the new YMCA director) comes up to me yesterday and tells me, not asks, that he has put me down to be a scholarship chairperson on the executive committee.I just started laughing. Once I got home and had time to think about it it really quirked me because here I am a SAHM, homeschooling for the first time 3 kids and since my DH works 80 hours a week holding the entire house together and a salaried employee wants to take my time away from my family to do YMCA volunteer work. I believe in volunteering don't get me wrong but I spend 10 hours a week there with swimming and literally my plate is full.

OK found that...You realize me and Todd were just talking about excursions past ships have done (RCCL). They were all organized through the ship not stand alone like we did in Cozumel.

Todd has never even been to Aruba and my 1 and only visit was 7 years ago...

Oh well...we'll see what happens........ I do like Rum Though

Wow! I just found out about this thread a couple hours ago and you guys already have this many posts?

We were onboard the Magic last week when the announcment was made. We went to the rebooking desk and filled out a form for the Eastbound Repo - the lady there told us we would be called before the 31st to confirm our reservation and finish our "onboard" booking. I'm assuming they are adding us to the IC list after all the folks that sent requests in before December.

However, we had absolutely nothing in hand when we left the desk - so we went back and booked a dummy date in Jan 2008 so we had something to prove we really were at the rebooking desk on board! Hopefully, we will hear something from DCL before the 31st - but if not we can be on the phone with everyone else and move our "dummy" cruise to the repo....

I think DH is pretty serious about doing this cruise and the only thing that would stop us would be if the $$$ were just too high. It will be myself, DH and DS7 (now - he'd be 9 for the repo). DS will probably miss 7 or 8 days at the beginning of 4th grade since our schools go back really early - but that is probably better than missing 10 or 11 days in May when school usually gets out June 1st. Fortunately, school is easy for him and it will be the same school as 1st, 2nd & 3rd grade so we can talk to the principle and teachers before hand. He missed 8 days of 1st grade for a DCL cruise. He missed 4 days of 2nd grade (since we had a school calendar we planned better!) of a DCL cruise (last week) and he won't miss ANY of 3rd grade for a DCL cruise - so hopefully we won't have a problem with that.

I have tried catching up, but I am only on page 28 and decided to go ahead and post (I did read the summaries on page 1) and finish catching up later. If we end up being on this trip, I'd be happy to help with website/organizing type stuff. For our last 3 cruises, I've done the website and I LOVE the idea that someone else has already started that job!!!

You really need to loin in the fun---don't however call until the 1st of Feb. We want our cabins.

Lots of Stay at Home Moms and Dads and people who work at home, lots of people who don't work from home and sneak around at work and haven't gotten caught yet.

Judy, just exactly how do you do that? Is that another one of your medical terms?
