It is hard to extract information out of this thread - sorry about that. I did see your question but was reading through other posts and never got back to respond:

After all that - my answer is: I don't think so. :confused3

Junkie - I remember the Princess Tea being so much fun for my daughter. Other special things included a coffee table book on the Panama Canal, special talks about the Panama Canal :bored: , lithographs, tons of opportunities with Ducky Williams, pins & antenna toppers and more.

Don 'Ducky' williams was great great great, he did shows and was in the kids clubs, you also got a book of the panama canal, various photos iven to you, and in the specail evening meals various gifts the Mickey mouse club one in AP they gave you thoose car ariel topers from WDW. They look like a ping pong ball with ears.

Hi everyone.....

Well we finally got our first snowstorm.....

Not alot but hey we've had nothing until now...

DH, DD, and i had lunch with one of our favorite Pirates, Mr. Gibbs pirate: and his wife princess:... (AKA Brack on the boards) They came to Frederick to do a sermon and will be taking Bobby on a trip to Ocean City, MD. Bobby was getting bored of being in Fredneck.

After lunch we went over to Tar-zhey where we got a sweet deal on winter boots. They had tons left (since we've had no snow) and they were marked down 75% off. I got three pairs for myself for less than $25. DH got a pair too.

Now that i'm stocked up on snowshoes, that should pretty much clinch it that we never get another flake of snow.

Wow! Over 1000 posts, 69+pages and none of us has even booked this cruise yet! Still astounded. After doing all that catch up reading today, I feel like I have been lurking and evesdropping on some private conversations! :listen:
Actually, today has been one of those "don't have anything to do or anywhere to go" days... kinda bored...:bored: I love to keep busy and, unlike DH, don't really look forward to days like this... Except that I get caught up on the DIS! So, keep it coming.... I'll be here popcorn:: keeping entertained, learning new things about our future travels!:yay:

On the last repo there were a number of extra special dinner theme nights as well as PC night, EAST meets WEST, the three resurants did an extra roatation of their own,

AP had a Mickey mouse club evening, with guest!
LUMIERES had a special beauty and beast night;

Andrew,

Thank you for posting the photos and information on the special rotation and the princesses. My family is interested, but I want to find out more things that will get them really into wanting to be on this repo. This is a big help.

My family loves all things Disney, but they don't have the same addiction as I so they don't visit the boards and basically think I am a little (OK a lot) crazy.

Those that did any of the Mexican Rivs or the eastbound repo last time , How was the embarkation ???(getting on the ship) Was it as efficent as it is in Port Canaveral ??? Or did you find yourself waiting too long ??? I know the port is rented just wanted to know how Disney handles itself when not at there home port ..

We did one of the Mexican Riviere cruises in 2005 and we found embarkation to be very easy. It was our first cruise so we really didn't know what to expect. We got to the port around 10:30 a.m., checked our luggage and went inside. They had all sorts of DCL employees there to help direct you. We checked in quickly and got our boarding number (5) and we were on the Magic by about 12:30 p.m. They started the boarding process at 11:45 a.m., so we didn't have to wait long before our number was called. We were able to register the kids for the clubs while we waited and get our pager as well, so that was all done before we boarded. All in all we found it very similar to our experience when we flew to Florida the next year and sailed on the Magic out of Port Canaveral.

We thought it would be a good idea to wait out the initial onslaught of people arriving to the terminal in San Pedro (CA) and arrived around 12:30pm. We could actually see the crowds coming and going from our hotel room!
BUT, I will not wait next time. I think, like PC, getting there earlier...say around 10:30-11:00 is better. You still have to wait some, but not in lines.
The terminal at San Pedro had a big inflated Mickey on it and characters to get pictures with. They also provided areas for kids to color while waiting.
It may be better this time because we will be able to go in the CC line, and because the online registration process has it's kinks worked out.
Bottom line-- PC is better, but I bet this time, DCL will have things moving pretty smoothly in Calif. :goodvibes

Hi everyone!
I just got the official ok from DH to go on the eastbound panama canal cruise. I am so excited I can't even think straight! :yay: :cheer2:
I am also a little star struck with all of the famous DISers who will be on this cruise too....

I was always lurking, not sure if we were going or not, but seeing that this thread is always hopping, I knew I better get in on all the fun! Just wanted to say hi!
It will probably be myself (celebrating my bday on the 21st during the cruise!), DH, DS14 (15), DD12 (14), DD10 (12 on the cruise), and DS4 (6).

Does anyone have any idea what time reservations open on the 31st?? I will be waiting anxiously with everyone else!

After getting a look at the pictures posted earlier, I'm now thinking about booking a verandah.:sad2:

What's the difference between a navigator's verandah and a deluxe verandah?:surfweb:

Can a navigator's verandah hold four? It looked like only three.

I would like to get an enclosed verandah, but we have four people.

Hi Michelle2--
Our DDs will be about the same age for sailing! We'll have to keep in touch.
Congrats on the DH coming around. Mine did too, much to my excitement!:cheer2: But, I am admittedly keeping the actual costs a bit hush (that is when I find out) for now! It would be too much for him to handle all at once!:rotfl:

ehh you get used to it ...I have been here on and off since 1977 and have seen this town grow from a population of 250,000 in 77 to over 1.2 million as of now ...I am orginally from Buffalo NY and have been back there a few times over the years ...I will take the heat over the snow and cold anyday ..And I actually like the Humid weather when we cruise :lmao: :lmao:

But Ill

Take What I Can!!

I was going to try and get a cat. 7, but now that my mom said she would like to join us, I will be trying for a cat. 9, as cat. 7's only hold three people.

I have another DD who will be turning 15 on the cruise and would like to get to know some people before we go. Her birthday is the 30th. Reservations opens up at 8:00 EST and I plan on having my phone all charged up the night before.:cool1:

:welcome: and it seems we have DS's that are close in age ...My oldest Dylan will be 16 and the youngest Destin will be 7 ...So just hop in the thread and ask away ..

How much price difference is there between a Cat 6 and 5 ??? I know they must be close arent they considering the only difference is the deck ???? I figure if cat 6 and 5 are similar in price we should have 2 decks to choose from and have better chances to get on this cruise ..LOL and worst case scenerio we go to a cat 4...

I tried really hard to stay away! Glad I didn't I would of had 20 pages to catch up on!

Glad to see that some of you are of my era! I loved David Cassidy!:)Everyone was into Donny Osmond, I was the rebel! LOL!

I'll have to keep a weathered eye out for a good t-shirt sale at Michaels! After the 31st of course!

This is wild! But in a good way. pirate:
