OK - I have got to be off to pick up youngest DD - Does anyone else who sends their kids to parochial school find it funny how we pay bookoo $ to get them this fantastic once-in-a-lifetime education and somehow, they have all these 'extra' holiday and time off from school or early exit days? Sorta like when the older 2 went to Catholic high school and started on August 27 and we still had to pay for the entire month of school? :scared1:  :scared1:

Just don't get that :sad2:

Oh well, here's another picture for you to decipher - I'm just hooked on posting now - hope you all enjoy - OK - Question of the day - Who is this?

P.S. - still working on the resizing bit! Sorry Lisa! :grouphug: & puckerup: - You are Priceless to US!!!!!! Don't even thing about walking the plank or we will tie ye up and make you walk the plank!!!!!! ARGHHHH! pirate:

I appreciate everyone's well wishes, thoughts and prayers. I apologize for not being able to respond to all the posts individually or multi-quote but I just don't have it in me right now. To say I'm a bit depressed would be an understatement. I don't even really want to talk about it -atleast not yet. but it appears that either something happened like a stroke or something or I have Bell's palsy or something and dealing with the non-functioning part of my face & mouth right now is well... not fun. I'm not even sure if I should post that because now if it doesn't go away I'm going to think everyone is looking at me on the cruise.
:( I'm only 37yrs old and was not prepared for something like this at this stage of my life. I've never been pretty- I know that. But it's like God had to say oh you think you're ugly now, you haven't seen nothing yet... it can always get worse little missy.

Please think of us as your friendly neighborhood support group. Anything I can do, please don't hesitate to ask. I wish you all the best in what must be a very scary time.

:badpc: ..all day today, figures!....then late last night, i didn't

don't have an IPOD - but when I do.... it will be a mix of everything from Broadway tunes to Sarah Brightman to Kate Bush, JImmy Buffett, '60's bubblegume, 80's new wave..you name it!!!!:)sorry , no country though..not my cup of tea....

One last thing before I go - MR don't foget to buy your MegaMillions tickets tomorrow! I'll be buying a few myself.

I heard someone right here in Cape May County won!!:cool1:

Too bad I didn't buy a ticket.:rolleyes1

Good! DD2 has finally arrived home! Not too late either. DD1 better be coming thorugh the door soon too or I won't be very happy that they made them have marching practice in this.:headache:

Cool, she just got home too! No more driving today for me.:cool1:

I'm happy Rebecca can join GS this year. We don't have anyone selling in our neighborhood and they only did one 'show and sell' at the grocery store. So we only could buy a couple of boxes.

I need a case.

Ah, but she can't sell cookies as a Daisy.:flower3:

Hi Moira;

My grandparents left Cork city to come to America (and my oldest daughter has the red hair to prove it! my grandmother and all six of her siblings had various shades of red hair). If DCL can stop luring me with so many great trips, I want to bring my girls to Ireland . . .

Julie, what part of Cork did they come from? Do you still have relatives here?

If you get a chance to come here at some stage, maybe you'll look us up?:)

I also have love a wide variety of music, but my IPOD doesn't really represent all the music I love, because it's still fairly new & I haven't downloaded a lot yet. Anyway my current top 10:

You Don't Own Me - Lesley Gore
A Little Less Conversation - Elvis (remix version)
Candy Man - Christina Aguilera
Irreplaceable - Beyonce
You Raise Me Up - Josh Groban
Buttons - ***** Cat Dolls
Toxic - Brittney Spears
Pon De Replay - Rihanna
Pie Jesu - Sarah BrightmanThe One - Gary Allan

Cool! I love the Lloyd Weber Requiem - but don't often encounter anyone else who has even heard of it. Of course, now I have that running through my head ... Oh well - Maybe it will drive out H.M.S. Pinafore. We are singing Pinafore in choir and the performance is only a few weeks away. Almost every time we get to this stage I end up with the music running through my head over and over and over ...

The baby is all grown up. Does he look like you????
I think all parents deserve an award for letting their children grow-up. Children do not make life easy but add lots of excitement to life.:scared1:

There's a phrase among parents with kids in private schools in Manhattan, "the more you pay, the less they stay" . . . the public school kids have far fewer vacation days, get out for summer later, etc., etc.

I know my father has connections with relatives in Cork (it was his parents who came over here) . . . I'm not sure where other than it was Cork city, not just somewhere in the county . . .

I'd love to be able to see you in Ireland!

I have Homer Simpson's beer song running through my head now:

DO, the stuff, that buys me beer
RAY, the guy I buy beer from
ME, the guy, who drinks the beer
FA, a long way to my beer
SO, I think I'll have a beer
LA, la la la la la beer
TI, no thanks, I'll have a beer
That brings us back to beer, beer, beer, beer.

I love when the CM do this at Pub Night!!!!!

Thanks! I knew I heard it before, but not from the Simpsons.

Ok, that's it ... U N C L E :faint: I tried, I really did ... but there's just NO WAY, I can actually read and ketchup all that you all posted last night after I left.

It was FOUR degrees when I left my house this morning, and the wind is fierce. My youngest DS is going on a field trip today to a Maple Sugar farm ... I had to bundle the poor kid like you wouldn't believe  We lost power for a few hours last night ... a tree fell in the wind and crushed a utility pole. DH got home from work at about 6:00 this morning and was so kind in resetting all of the clocks ... only he didn't actually CHECK the time, just guestimated :rolleyes2 It only took a missed school bus for me to figure out that one :p

Sounds like you needed lots of :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: yesterday. Sorry they are late!:flower3:
