8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC Part 9

Hi everyone! DH and I will be joining you on this cruise! I have been too busy to keep up here, but things should be getting better soon (just quit one of my two jobs )

Looking forward to sailing with some of you again and others for the first time! We had a great time on the last August repo, looking forward to the new ports of call. I get to celebrate my birthday again on the ship (this time turning 40!) and like some of you we're staying on the Magic for the 5 night sailing.

Yes they do!!

I like my new washer and dryer, but I think my old dryer did better. Some things are coming out wrinkled, even though I am taking them out right away. This may be due to the washer making things more wrinkled. I haven't stopped washing and drying yet, but nothing has been put away. Folded, but not put away. I've washed about 6 blankets so far too. Guess I just have to get used to the new stuff. I didn't like the price of the HE detergent at first. $22!! But it seems like it will be cheaper in the long run because you hardly use any of it per load.

I hear you about the HE detergent...We JUST stocked up on regular stuff...the ALL Small and Mighty stuff, because it was on sale!!
So we now have like 8 bottles of detergent that we're not going to be able to use...

Oh well. So far we're really liking the LG.
I love the little chimes...

Just a little update on our lives...

Jeff had his appt this morning and they did give him the shot in his shoulder but did not give him an Rx for anything for inflammation like I'd hoped. They also scheduled him with a physical therapist but it's at a local gym (the one we had a 3yr membership but it ended in Dec 2006 LOL) and I'm not sure if the therapist there accepts insurance. So this may end up being costly.

Meanwhile I have to contact my dr ASAP because I have something very scary going on right now. VERY scary- like bad scary (not like pregnant scary- that can't happen anyway! LOL)
Any prayers you can throw my way would be MUCH appreciated.

You know, as much as I like , I have to say that my vice is ICE CREAM!!! Ben & Jerry's, Cold Stone, Marble Slab, Edy's, Breyer's...you name it!!!! I LOVE it!! Even when it's 30 below outside, it's always a good time for ice cream...

I wish there was an ice cream smiley...*SIGH*

ITA!! I love Breyers reduced fat mint choc chip, and Breyers butter pecan.......but my all time favorite is Graeter's coconut chip! Has anyone else had Graeter's Ice cream? It is the best!!!

It's going to be in the 20's and 30's this week. We'll "spring ahead" with the clocks this Saturday and then next week it will be in the 50's you'll see. Springtime!

Don't worry about me... just deal me in for a few friendly "hands" OK?? .... Now, is poker played with cards or dice? I really don't know ... <chuckles>.... and I don't count cards at 21 tables. And NO! I have never had more than 2 21 tables shut down on me in Vegas in the same casino on the same nite. Really!

You know, I never thought about slot machines running out of coins. Oh sure I knew on some subjective level that they hopper had to be filled but it never occured to me that someone would be able to empty it...until I saw my late aunt do it. Four times, two machines each, in one day!!! She is the reason they have those new machines that will dispense a barcoded ticket that you can cash in later or slide into another machine!

What's funny is while she loved the slots, she'd kick a** at video poker too. But put her at a real poker table with live people and she'd blow every hand!

I appreciate everyone's well wishes, thoughts and prayers. I apologize for not being able to respond to all the posts individually or multi-quote but I just don't have it in me right now. To say I'm a bit depressed would be an understatement. I don't even really want to talk about it -atleast not yet. but it appears that either something happened like a stroke or something or I have Bell's palsy or something and dealing with the non-functioning part of my face & mouth right now is well... not fun. I'm not even sure if I should post that because now if it doesn't go away I'm going to think everyone is looking at me on the cruise.
I'm only 37yrs old and was not prepared for something like this at this stage of my life. I've never been pretty- I know that. But it's like God had to say oh you think you're ugly now, you haven't seen nothing yet... it can always get worse little missy.


Atleast I know my tears work in both eyes.

I absolutely believe that you will be ok. By the time of the cruise this will be a disatant memory. You'll be able to get those face muscles working again. Just believe me on that.

Our family doctor had almost the exact situation last year, and now he looks better than ever. In fact, he looks better than he did before.

Praying for you...and keeping the faith that you will get through this quickly.

At least it is snowing here. That's a good sign. It has been too cold to snow here for the last 3 weeks. I like snow. ...and we leave for Maui in 197 hours and 28 minutes...
