But did you see Loverboy on the show last year when they brought the 80's bands back to sing their hits? I don't remember the name of the show, but DW and I loved watching it. Some of these groups were really awful.

Hit Me Baby One More Time

That was Power Station - couple from Duran Duran, Robert Palmer and I don't remember who else.

Andy Taylor, John Taylor (Duran Duran), Robert Palmer, Tommy Thompson (Chic). Robert Palmer didn’t tour, so we had to be subjected to the warblings of Michael Debarre.

Yet another story I really shouldn't tell. You guys are gonna think I'm a loon. But....
The last time we bought a new washer and dryer, they told me to go buy a cord also. So I did.
Before they came to install them, my mother was visiting and she said "Maybe you better check and make sure that's the right cord". So we went into the laundry room and I plugged in the cord, which was still partially wrapped up around itself. I got the shock of my life!
DH said it was lucky I wasn't killed. It did temporarily blind me. My dad wanted to take me to the ER, but I told him there was no way in H.E. double hockey sticks I was walking into an ER and admitting how stupid I was.
Just see if I ever listen to my mother again.

GREAT GOOGLEY MOOGLEY!!!!

Loon? Not at all...and you were by yourself. Ever see what happens when 3, count 'em THREE "professionals" accidentally energize the wrong circuit--whilst one is touching bare wires--and arm the warhead section (minus the explosive package) of a guided missile?

:rolleyes1

Anybody remember the show The Courtship Of Eddie's Father? That was the cutest show. For some reason, the theme song just ran through my head. :confused3

One of my favorite shows as a kid! :goodvibes Oh my, did I just date myself!? :lmao:

Good One!

How about a couple of Irish Toasts:

Up your kilts......

And another........

Here's to you as good as you are....
For as good as you are....
And as bad as I am.....
I'm as good as you are.....
As bad as I am......................

I might as well tell this story now, since I'm sure it will come up on Deck 7.
The traditional toast for my friends and I came from a happy evening in college. We were taking turns coming up with toasts. One of my friends was taking Spanish at the time, and felt that midnight was a fine time to practice. So she made the following toast (in Spanish), using all the Spanish I vocabulary she could muster:

To our friends, our brothers, our lovers, and our big feet. Salut!

Hello everyone!!! :wave2:

It was an long day today.

I was gonna post this last night but missed the deadline for the board going down.

WARNING: another long BIP post below. Hey, what do you expect? I get online and I'm almost 40 pages behind! A wench has go to do what a wench has got to do.

Oooh, huge Lucille Ball fan here too!

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 I knew I was gonna like you BIP!!!

Wonder why they killed Alan off......did he want off the show?
No, he didn't want off the show. It's terrible that they let him go after nearly 30 years.

"]Now from todays postings...

They give a sticker and a button.
I'm definitely looking forward to it again this year. Usually we go once or twice in between, but lately we haven't.

Cake like this, maybe
DisneylandStaceysBirthday015.jpg

ANd this picture shows the sticker and the button

I love Storytellers cafe!!! Great place to relax and eat (of course) during a day at the parks. And cute pics by the way.

I will have to take DD to get the button when we go to DL. She will be celebrating her Bday right after the cruise. Close enough. :thumbsup2 She has always remember that DS celebrated his bday in MK & on the ship on our first cruise.

They also have buttons for first visits and Anniversaries.

what was your favorite board game?...my was broadsides, by milton b. .
now that kind of explained how i became proficient in manuevering
lil' ships into "firing positions". battle ship and stratego were close seconds.
oh, the day when you got near the the end..i don't know how many times,
your opponent would accidentally upset the board-- "just win' the next
move you have his flag..esp. older brothers! now i could be wrong, but
reading from the wenches' postings..i think the majority will be chosing
"clue"...not that they would "knock off" any body . :smokin:

I love board games!!! My favorites are Clue, Trivial Pursuit, and the Game of Life.

Thanks Bip!

Just booked HoJos for pre-cruise. Just 2 nights, since I think we will be flying out Fri. afternoon-ish. Price wasn't too bad. I booked 2 queens-DL view for $94 (pre tax, but also pre-5% military discount). FYI - also available - 2 doubles, no view was $79, 2 queens view of something that isn't DL (can't remember, pool? garden?) was $90. I figured I would splurge $8 for a DL view - after all this is a TOAL!

So beware.
The sk8ingfam will be staying in the same place as the Bipsters.

I can't keep track, but I think at least 2 of our kids line up age-wise. One DS will turn 10 during the cruise and the other will be 8.

WHAT!?!? They are taking reservations for rooms now?

You might want to be careful here....both my DH and DS are named John.....I can scream JOHNNNNNNNNN pretty darn good!!! You'd answer whether it was you name or not (but it is)

WHAT??

Oh, wait, that's not me. Carry on.

Well, nite everyone.

Another long day for me tomorrow as well. As it's all starting off with a tow truck.:rolleyes2 :worried:

Have a Happy Tuesday!!!!

....okay...let me get my calculator out....figuring....more figuring....okay....we will be boarding a plane for Maui in 564 hours and 36 minutes and we will be staying for 240 hours. Will we be there at the same time? This will be our second visit to Maui after three visits to the Big Island.

We'll be in Maui 3/15 - 3/19 and Oahu 3/19 - 3/23.

WHAT!?!? They are taking reservations for rooms now?

Yup, but you can't use the HoJos 800# or book online, you have to call the hotel directly. Be there or be square buddy!

I've got a basket of clean cloths calling my name them put it away. Night all.

A basket!??!? As in ONE?!?!

I've got 5 full hampers of (clean) clothes and 4 more loads of dirty laundry to wash/dry! :laundy:

OK, I don't have time to ketchup, but I will tomorrow. Jen's feeling much better, we have a new washer (an LG TROMM with front loading and lots of coolio bells and whistles...:lmao: :thumbsup2 ), and the basement is cleaned up. :thumbsup2

But it's about time to get myself cleaned up and settle in and get bed...
Be back tomorrow! :wave2:

We have those! I LOVE them...except right now because I've done laundry since Thursday

My son sent me a link on youtube for a video and I came across one that I happen to have on my computer from the EB repo in 05. One of the disers put all the shots together into a video.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26hZXSYA4Xw
Hope you enjoy

WOW! I remember that last part vividly - I was standing on Deck 7 as we left the very last lock. I remember my camera battery was low and I didn't have my flash as the batteries had died after all day use  HOWEVER - the photogods were smiling down on me and I guessed that I had 1 -3 shots left before it died for good. As we left the last lock it was just past twilight, dinner was starting in 1/2 hr and I managed to capture the most awesome shot off the back (bow?) of the locks closing with the water empty. Beautiful blue background with the lights haloing for effect. SIGH! :( I was sorry to see it go - thought I would never get to experience that feeling ever again! NOT! :lmao: Flashforward to 2 years and a few days to the day and I will be experiencing it again! Yeah - Hoorah!

Anyway, as a going away gift I made a copy (DH NEVER travels w/o his printer and laptop) of this last shot for all our tablemates, stuck it on a magnet and typed the name of the lock, our e-mail address and home address on it and gave it to them on the last night. Also made some copies for our servers. Truly a nice picture - will have to dig it out and post it here if any one is interested?????:confused3 OK - them are my 2 cents on one of my favorite memories of that day!

I'll just sik SWMBO on him. That will teach 'em

OK - told myself I wasn't going to ask but for the life of me.....what does SWMBO stand for? May be none of my business but if you all know what amount of time I have spent trying to figure that out - I finally went to the front page and wouldn't you know it - its not there. Someone tell be please before I go NUTS  .......well ok - too late for that one but someone tell me before I pull out my hair? :maleficen

Does it help if I beg? :dogdance: or perhaps this one will do? :worship:

Thanks :thumbsup2

WHAT!?!? They are taking reservations for rooms now?
Yes, if you call! (online won't go that far- only 2007 I think)

We need to get ourselves a big ol' bus.
Yes, that's exactly what we need to do!

Thanks :thumbsup2

SWMBO is She Who Must Be Obeyed aka wifeypoo. :)

Good morning, Andy!

Thanks Andy.

Sorry I haven't been around lately. How have you been?

I'm not even going to attempt to catch up (or should I say ketchup). I read the summaries, but when I try to look at a topic that interests me, I don't know where to even look for it. I might as well look at all 66.67 pages (1,000 posts). Would be nice if there was a reference to the approx. post numbers or pages. :thumbsup2

I'll try to pop in more often than every 2 to 3 weeks.

Hey Jeff--doing pretty good, my doc put me on Mobic for the inflamation in my knees, it seems to be helping. Other than that just keeping busy at work and trying my best to keep up with this thread!!! :rotfl:
