OK - told myself I wasn't going to ask but for the life of me.....what does SWMBO stand for? May be none of my business but if you all know what amount of time I have spent trying to figure that out - I finally went to the front page and wouldn't you know it - its not there. Someone tell be please before I go NUTS  .......well ok - too late for that one but someone tell me before I pull out my hair? :maleficen

Does it help if I beg? :dogdance: or perhaps this one will do? :worship:

Thanks :thumbsup2

She Who Must Be Obeyed..in other words, JR's wife.

Edited to add....

I supposed this is the first groundhog of the day.

My first Disney experience. I was about 8, what 1974? My grandparents took my family and myself to Disneyland. My dad and grandfather wandered off saying they'd be right back, and never returned. My mom and grandmother made me sit at this restaurant for a several hours (actually, I really don't know how long it was - but it seemed like a really, really, long time) waiting on them. They eventually returned talking about how much fun they'd had doig other stuff (while we sat waiting on them). I was pretty ticked. Here I am a Disneyland and I'm stuck sitting in a restaurant for hours on end! That's my first memory of anything Disney. Oh, and the Matterhorn was awesome!! So, it was definietly a mixed experience.

Well that stinks! :( You have to go back so that you can have a completely good memory of DL. :cool1:

I'll be on the phone as soon as I get home from work this afternoon. Have a great day everyone....75* here today :flower3:

Ok, this may the first time in recorded history this many people have been anxious to book a HOWARD JOHNSON's 16 months in advance.

They've been taking reservations since January. I was able to book a room before I even booked the cruise.:rotfl:

Where is the hotel in relationship to the port? And did you get transfers from Disney or arranging your own?

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

And speaking of teenager..............I've got to get mine up and get her moving. Today is Day 2 of the State Testing, it's the math section which is Angelina's weakest subject, she asked me to make her two cups of coffee this morning, so I had better get my bottom in gear. See y'all later. :wave2:

Be sure to put on some classical music. Studies have shown that classical music in the morning increases math aptitude for the whole day. Don't know if I believe that, but you can bet your bottom bippy that I'd be putting on the classical station if my kid was having State Math Testing today.

I had to go to a FC meeting tonight for DS. Afterwards I talked to Fr about my concern that DS wont consume the host. Father gave me some unconsecrated hosts for him to try and get use to. He is so picky & doesn't eat bread. I am worried about him making a face & spitting it out at FC. Fr said that if he just can't stand it, he can break off a small piece to give him. I guess this isn't the first picky kid that they have had do this. OY!

Lisa....when is William's First Communion?

I never liked Mr. Roboto.

But I do the arm movements every time "Same as it ever was" pops up in my iPOD playlist.

David Byrne was the man! Talking Heads was my favorite band in college. I still think they're cool......

Good News

The Mega jackpot which is up too 355 million $$ Well they say your odds of winning are 1 & 176 million. You know what that means right?

Those waiting for a cabin number the odds are REALLY good for you.:lmao: :lmao:

Just saw a co-worker of mine that plays the lottery everyday. I gave him a few $$ and the numbers that were in my fortune cookie from the other night. He said if I win her wants a cut of the winnings, I told him I would give him 25% of the cut. I have to be nice to him, he is my foreman and also the brother of my uncle's wife..............oh yea, we also graduated from high school together, at least I know I can trust him!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Hey Pete,

I just put in for vacation April 2-9. I'm hoping we can make it to Florida during that week. Hazel has been having some trouble with her IBS acting up again for the past two weeks. We will have to wait and see how she is doing by the end of this month, as we would have to drive down for this trip south.

Time to head out into the :cold: :cold: :cold: frozen tundra again. I have all OUTSIDE meters to read today, so no getting into any warm homes, I will be keeping my work car close by however!!! :thumbsup2

I have a question and I don't know if it has been answered already, here goes:

Has anyone booked their hotel for Ca pre cruise?

I have never been to CA so I am wondering where to stay.
One of the DL hotels or(we plan on going to DL and CA)one of the hotels nearby?:confused3 Should I rent a car:drive: or just use their transfers? PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Thanks in advance!

Man if I was here in real time I would have replied Channel 2. :happytv:
MIL always does that!! She'll call us from Cleveland and say "Turn on channel 3". The whole concept of time zones and the fact that NBC is not the same channel number all over the world seems to escape her.

:rotfl: My mom does the same thing.....we are in the same time zone (they live about 15 min away, in fact).....but she can't seem to grasp the fact that we have different cable companies......

Just called HoJo and you have to ask for In House reservations, they open at 8am west coast time, 11am here on the east coast ;)

:coffee: Morning all! Hope you are safe and warm. If you do head out, put some extra weight in your shoes so you don't blow awaaaaaaaay!

Absolutely! It's not Styx without Dennis DeYoung, just like it's not Journey without Steve Perry!
ITA...like Chicago without Peter Cetera

Ah, I see we've met.
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: You are too funny!

John Amos was also Jimmie "J.J. Evans" Walker's Dad on....oh crap. what's the name of that show?:crazy2:
Good Times

:sad1:

(and somehow, I'm craving a beer, and I don't even drink beer...)
Beer is what we call Irish Champagne.:thumbsup2 :rotfl:

Off to get DD moving to school. We were delayed 2 hours this morning. Yippee!!!!!!!!!!:cool1:

Beer is what we call Irish Champagne.:thumbsup2 :rotfl:

I have Homer Simpson's beer song running through my head now:

DO, the stuff, that buys me beer
RAY, the guy I buy beer from
ME, the guy, who drinks the beer
FA, a long way to my beer
SO, I think I'll have a beer
LA, la la la la la beer
TI, no thanks, I'll have a beer
That brings us back to beer, beer, beer, beer.

WOW! I remember that last part vividly - I was standing on Deck 7 as we left the very last lock. I remember my camera battery was low and I didn't have my flash as the batteries had died after all day use  HOWEVER - the photogods were smiling down on me and I guessed that I had 1 -3 shots left before it died for good. As we left the last lock it was just past twilight, dinner was starting in 1/2 hr and I managed to capture the most awesome shot off the back (bow?) of the locks closing with the water empty. Beautiful blue background with the lights haloing for effect. SIGH! :( I was sorry to see it go - thought I would never get to experience that feeling ever again! NOT! :lmao: Flashforward to 2 years and a few days to the day and I will be experiencing it again! Yeah - Hoorah!

Anyway, as a going away gift I made a copy (DH NEVER travels w/o his printer and laptop) of this last shot for all our tablemates, stuck it on a magnet and typed the name of the lock, our e-mail address and home address on it and gave it to them on the last night. Also made some copies for our servers. Truly a nice picture - will have to dig it out and post it here if any one is interested?????:confused3 OK - them are my 2 cents on one of my favorite memories of that day!

YES!!!! We want to see that picture!!! :thumbsup2 What a wonderful memory...and makes me look forward to our own first experience with it live and in person. Last time I was one of the poor souls sitting at the computer all day taking screen shots to save.
