Well, I'll at least try to answer the "happier" topics from several days ago...
My first Disney experience. I was about 8, what 1974? My grandparents took my family and myself to Disneyland. My dad and grandfather wandered off saying they'd be right back, and never returned. My mom and grandmother made me sit at this restaurant for a several hours (actually, I really don't know how long it was - but it seemed like a really, really, long time) waiting on them. They eventually returned talking about how much fun they'd had doig other stuff (while we sat waiting on them). I was pretty ticked. Here I am a Disneyland and I'm stuck sitting in a restaurant for hours on end! That's my first memory of anything Disney. Oh, and the Matterhorn was awesome!! So, it was definietly a mixed experience.
You know, now that I think about it - I've never been back to Disneyland. Well, that decides it - we'll have to do a couple of days there either before the cruise, or sometime soon.
I did visit California Adventure a couple of years ago. I was in Anaheim for a national conference of Project and Program Managers. We had a 4 day class before the conference and convinced the instructor to end on the last day at 11:30 so that we could go play at Disney. Seven senior project managers - it took us 45 minutes to get out of the hotel lobby. We get to the park and go straight to Tower of Terror (or whatever it's called there) to get FP. From there to the big roller coaster. It was temporarily closed, so we took in some ride that takes you up and drops you (this group was into being dropped).
On our way back to TofT we noticed the roller coaster had just opened. So we went on it (really short lines). The front seat lovers went to the front, and the back seat lovers went to the back, everyone else went where ever. When we got off we got into a big discussion about which was better the front or the back. So, we did it again, with the back seat lovers in the front and the front seat lovers in the back. And everyone else standing around scratching their heads about what the fuss was about. No one changed their mind. The back seat lovers called the front boring. And the front seat lovers called the back too rough.
After this we went racing across the park to use our FP. And while standing in line started congratulating ourselves about how we were on budget, ahead of schedule, and had significantly out performed our expected scope. The people by us thought we were nuts.
The back is best!! The back is best!!
He's Leaving (queue Hazel & Stacey: leaving, leaving)
On that midnight train to Georgia (Hazel & Stacey: leaving on that midnight train)
I'd rather live in his world (Hazel & Stacey:)
Then live without him in mine (Hazel & Stacey: mine, mine)

I'll be boarding a plane for Maui in 240 hours and 6 minutes.
Murray Slaughter. And Lou Grant. Ted Baxter and Georgina. Rhoda and Ida Morgenstern. Phyllis ?
Is this your 2nd pirate or 2nd 10k pirate? Pardon me for having to ask.. seeing as how we don't have a website anymore!!Thanks. It's actually #2.
Holy cow, it's going to be 89° by Sunday. That means I'll have to get the shorts out.And shave.
I think we're doing those color changing T-****s they sell at the stores at the beach.
Is this a hint that we won't have the website up for atleast another 2wks?!?The birthday list has been updated for the next two weeks since I wont be here to do that next Monday.![]()
I'm glad you liked it and I had a feeling she'd like seeing them all together (plus not to mention saving you from having to hunt them down or miss some).Thank you, thank you. She has already turned in for the night, but I will show her this post in the morning. She was really excited to see all of the people wishing her a happy birthday.
Snarfle. My baby girl is five.
Now if I could learn to sleep-post then I'd be able to keep up with the thread better! So now we are resorting to sleep-posting in order to stay current? Wow.
Sounds only fitting, for a princess ofcourse! (been there done that, I do have a princess too LOL)Oh she did. As I said, it was a three-day Princess Birthday Extravanganza (TM). One day is not enough to contain all of her birthday activities.
Hmm, wish you lived near us. I have TWO girls selling cookies... who would love to sell you a case. LOLI'm happy Rebecca can join GS this year. We don't have anyone selling in our neighborhood and they only did one 'show and sell' at the grocery store. So we only could buy a couple of boxes.
I need a case.
Now you're talking! I'd buy a ticket for that performance. There you go...we can all be onstage rather than on the tables!![]()
Well, yes, the big old boy was part Retriever...so what did I expect?![]()

We had a kitty just like yours for years.....she could take down a critter 3 times her size. Dogs knew better than to mess with her.
OMG, I live in in So California and I wear black in August. I must be a goth!! And my kids think I'm not cool. What do they know!
You know come to think of it, I'm really naturally pale too. Maybe I'm a vampire! A butt-kickin' black belt mama goth vampire.
I'm not sure why we are figuring out how old our kids will be when we are 49, but mine will be 24 & 22.
Really? That's very close to mine. "Growing outward not older"
Hmmm...safe to say you are a Styx fan? Dennis DeYoung or Tommy Shaw?
Dennis DeYoung
