The Palms has one too but it's just skeevy to think about taking my MOTHER to dinner at Nove Italiano and then heading upstairs to the Playboy Club!

Kevin should be here pretty soon. He had to drop his cycle off at the shop tonight, has an oil? leak and also making a "rubbing" noise in the front tire area. Looks like we're off to the store for an hour or two. Guess I'll miss AI....again.
I'll check back in before I turn in tonight.

Cool - let me dredge up the old dinosaur and upload it once I figure out how to do it - DD's at work and forgot to show me how to do it.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU - now I can go to sleep! Till later
You're very welcome and I can't wait to see the picture!

I'll be dressing in 4 layers of clothes today, baby it's frigid outside!!! March 6, 2007 wind chill -2 :cold:

Sn*w arriving tomorrow.................:(
ack! that is cold...

o.k so probaly not a record but that's o.k ! I wasn't trying for one.:rotfl2:
Oh my gosh ! Had so much here but had to delete because of too many images? insert confused icon here. How does BIP do it ?

I have to delete images (smilies) out of the quotes of other people in order to be able to do the multi-quoting to the degree that I do.

She Who Must Be Obeyed..in other words, JR's wife.

Edited to add....

I supposed this is the first groundhog of the day.
Just JR's wife? I thought it was all wives...

Ok, this may the first time in recorded history this many people have been anxious to book a HOWARD JOHNSON's 16 months in advance.
:lmao: Probably true...

I have a question and I don't know if it has been answered already, here goes:

Has anyone booked their hotel for Ca pre cruise?

I have never been to CA so I am wondering where to stay.
One of the DL hotels or(we plan on going to DL and CA)one of the hotels nearby?:confused3 Should I rent a car or just use their transfers? PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Thanks in advance!
I have booked Hojo for the precruise. It is near DL but not a DL resort.I think it's a good neighbor hotel or something like that though.

Ok, that's it ... U N C L E :faint: I tried, I really did ... but there's just NO WAY, I can actually read and ketchup all that you all posted last night after I left.

It was FOUR degrees when I left my house this morning, and the wind is fierce. My youngest DS is going on a field trip today to a Maple Sugar farm ... I had to bundle the poor kid like you wouldn't believe  We lost power for a few hours last night ... a tree fell in the wind and crushed a utility pole. DH got home from work at about 6:00 this morning and was so kind in resetting all of the clocks ... only he didn't actually CHECK the time, just guestimated :rolleyes2 It only took a missed school bus for me to figure out that one :p
oh good grief, that is just like a man! :confused3

And if your on this thread and you win ...you have to pay everyones balance off ...:rotfl2:

pirate:
Okay I NEVER buy lottery tickets but I think I might buy a few for the first time since Texas got the lottery oh... back when I was 21 or so -so 16yrs ago? And if I win (hahahahahahaha funny) I will first pay off everyone's cruise and then buy my mother a wheelchair van and then.... well lots of stuff. :)
I don't even know how late you can buy the tickets. I hope I can still buy them around 7pm CST?

I am SOOOOO jealous!!
ME TOO!

Okay everyone ...you heard it ...if she wins the Lotto were all sailing for FREE ....

:rotfl:

pirate:
I saw it too!

Reminder to self - don't let on if I've won the lottery.
oh you...

I just got in for lunch, the claims adjuster was here, got him taken care of, then called HoJo and got our room reserved for Friday and Saturday nights 8/15 and 8/16!!! :thumbsup2

Now I've got to get some lunch and THAW out!!! :lmao:
Woohoo! We'll be in the same hotel!

Hi Folks - I just called HoJo also. I talked to a very nice lady (I think "Jennifer" - but remember what I said about being bad at remembering names? :confused3 ) ************** I explained that no, I was from a different group from a different website - the DIS Board (she asked me to spell it) and then she asked if she could put me on hold for a couple minutes.

When she got back she said she had just discussed this with her manager and since we are all going on the same cruise that they are going to treat us as one big combined group. She then gave me the rates of $71.20 for the standard 2 double-bed room or $79.20 for the 2 queen-bed room with DL view!!! (Prices before taxes) I booked the DL view for 2 ngihts (arriving Friday, leaving Sunday)

Just wanted to let you all know so you can try for the lower rate too.

It's almost as good as :cake: :rotfl2:

pdarrah (Pamela)
So is the DL view really that much better? I might need to call about my ressie if it is. Especially because I could have sworn my ressie was for 2 queen but non-DL view.... your post makes it sound like we're getting doubles instead of queen size. I might have to investigate this further. We're planning on staying more than a few days though- so I figured the savings between DL view and non-DL view was worth it... is the DL view really that much better?

Hi Everyone!

I just booked my room @ HOJO for 8/14 for 3 nights at the rate of $79.20 DL view.:cool1: (one less thing I have to worry about!. I can check this off my list!)
We'll be at the same hotel!

OK...

Then we'll just have to "CUT OFF" the who's "in and out" line here...

But add brack!

If I win the lottery tonight, I will pay off the cruise for anyone whose whose name currently appears on our cruise website.
+ Brack, right? He's been here all along.. he's just still trying to get a room, right? He counts, right? right?

I'll take the fireman! Can I have a fireman?? Can I huh? Please, pretty pretty please?????:rotfl:

Oooh, me too!

Anyway, as a going away gift I made a copy (DH NEVER travels w/o his printer and laptop) of this last shot for all our tablemates, stuck it on a magnet and typed the name of the lock, our e-mail address and home address on it and gave it to them on the last night. Also made some copies for our servers. Truly a nice picture - will have to dig it out and post it here if any one is interested?????:confused3 OK - them are my 2 cents on one of my favorite memories of that day!

Laura, that was just the sweetest gifts for your table mates:)

My stupid camera broke the late in the evening before going through TPC. I was happy they had those small carts open (no shops open while in ports) I must have bought 6 or 7 disposables that day.

Good Morning Everyone :wave2:
Kids are sleeping and I am wide awake.:coffee: We were under a state of emergency last night. Gotta love this March weather. Kids have no school so I will try and skim a little.:)

I'll be dressing in 4 layers of clothes today, baby it's frigid outside!!! March 6, 2007 wind chill -2 :cold: :cold: :cold:

Sn*w arriving tomorrow.................:(

heat wave for you Andy.:rotfl2: It's going to be -25 to -30 wind chill here. Try and stay warm.

Boy, i am not going to complain about it being in the 30's here today.:)

Here ya go Stace

If that doesn't do it for you, google image 'firefighter calendar'. There are some doozies, but I wasn't sure how much I could get away with on a family site.

OK...

... what about one of these below...? Is this any better then the others I dredged up? I'll have you know I've scanned litterally 100s of (if not 1000+) images in search of an acceptable one... please select from one of these two...

In my opinion the DL view is not worth the extra money. You'll get to see the wall around DL, the monorail track and the top of the Matterhorn. And how much time are you actually going to be sitting at the room looking at the view, vs how much time you'll actually be in the park. But then again, I don't have little ones, so we are park commandos and only make it back to the room to sleep.

Here's a link to the room layouts. They have both 2 doubles and 2 queen rooms. In the hotel layout at the bottom, DL is directly across Harbor Bl. You can see the Matterhorn from the pools and many common areas. The Disney view rooms are in Building 1 which is taller than #3-6 which are only 2 stories.
