Thank you! I think the hardest part was picking a paint color.:lmao: I usually stick to neutrals, but I really like the color.

That is a beautiful color. It is similar to the color I wanted to do DS10's bedroom in, but he wanted an aqua blue.

Greetings from the Magic!

I couldn't stay away! Gotta type fast only 86 mins left. Just got out of the CC get together. Tom Waller? was there. 2 new ships in 2011 & 2012! Will be built at ship yard in Germany. He said that there is alot of speculation on the DIS Boards! Bigger, more tonnage, hold 4,000 people. New design, 2 decks taller and combine Mickey and Goofy pools into one big family pool. I don't know if this is somthing that has been posted before, but if it's new I wanted you guys to be the first to know!

I am having CJ thread withdrawls, but we are having a great time. Too much to ketchup on! Gotta go, there is a deck chair on deck 4 with my name on it!

I am sooooooo jealous!!! Hope you are having the best time!!! We did hear about the new ships, but thanks for thinking about us!:thumbsup2

Very Nice Caroline!!!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
Thanks Andy!
Oh, how I wish we had the kind of meters that could be read from the car, it would extend my working years. The town next to us just started installing those type of meters, but nothing has been said about our town doing it. Our town built a very large community center a few years ago www.riverwinds.org so there isn't any extra $$$$ for nice things like car remote style meters......:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Well, it's time to get back to the meters, see y'all later.........

Now, I am sure those nice new meters would be great for your knees, but would you really want to extend your time away from retirement in Fl? ;)

Just saw a commercial for Alaska on The Travel Channel, I sure hope DCL start cruises to Alaska once they get their new ships sailing. I am so there!!! I had a friend take a couple cruises to Alaska, he said they were some of the best cruises he and his wife ever took. :goodvibes

I've been wanting to do that, too . . . I saw a show on the Travel Channel about a RCCL ship that goes on that route, but I would much rather do it on Disney if I knew it was in the works . . .

Good morning everyone. Hope you all had great weekends.

Looks to be a nice day here, so everyone experiencing bad weather, be safe.

Hate to post and run, but I actually have a meeting this morning.

See you later.

Just got in for lunch, spent the last 2.5 hours walking around in this sloppy mess, I'm pooped, and I'm not talking bricks here people..........:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

The meters I'm reading today are all outside on the side of the residents homes. With all the sn*w on the ground, it makes it difficult to get to some of the meters, especially if there are little mounds to try and walk up, just think, slip, slide and away, that would be me..........:lmao:

I go, after work tomorrow, to get a series of x-rays on both of my knees. I know one thing, my knees are quite stiff and sore today.

Be careful out there Andy!

Reminds me of one of my favorite pictures from our last cruise. It is not the best photo of any of us, but

LOOK! BAKED ALASKANS!
bakedalaskans.jpg

Great pic:thumbsup2 Makes me want some cake!

And figured I'd ask here because it seems a lot of you cruise not only DCL...
If you had to choose between a 4-5 night inside stateroom on a Carnival cruise or a slightly CHEAPER 7 night cruise with oceanview room on Norwegian Dream- for 2 adults only- which would you choose?

Costumes.....when does she need one? Somewhere here I have a kid's elephant costume...would work for the book Horton Hears a Hoo...or was that Who?

Cruise....Jay & I took the kids on the Dream, Christmas before last. We LOVED it! That's the one that has the absolutely stunningly gorgeous, young Croatian Captain!!! But really...small ship, but the entire crew, even the officers, were so friendly. Made us feel like family. We loved the shows, we loved all the activities that they had. The food was good...actually really good.
I've not been on Carnival...and I'm sorry, but I don't think I'd want to.

The Dream is one of NCL's older ships, and it was "stretched"....but it was extremely clean, and didn't seem like it was "old". I was really glad we took that cruise. That's why we wanted to do NCL again this past Christmas, because we liked the Dream so much. This year, we went on the Sun....much bigger, newer, etc. But we really did NOT like it nearly as well.

Things went "pretty good". Atleast no one got hurt and no emergencies. A couple of minor things with the little ones especially my son (saw that one coming!) but Ruby was able to manage it. The only thing that REALLY bothers me is that she left the back door unlocked after letting Tramp out to do his business one last time before bedtime. We do have a privacy fence but it's not like my eldest hasn't already jumped over it a few times to retrieve balls that accidentally bounced over off the hoop/backboard- so it's not like someone else couldn't just jump over and come right on in the unlocked backdoor. But other than that- everything went fine with the kids. (well they did "play" with the garage door apparently. That's what they used to get inside- thru the garage SUPPOSEDLY so I could make sure the doors stayed locked and no key was lost- they used the garage door opener.. but from what I hear she was pushing the garage door remote to close it, Robert was pushing the button to close it- so they went back and forth that way until he finally stopped. But someone turned the handle thing that locks the garage- playing around in the garage I guess? Because when we came home and used OUR garage door opener to park my vehicle in there- it made a huge noise and that bar thing is all bent up now. Apparently they hadn't turned it completely, otherwise it wouldn't have opened at all. arrrrgggh kids!)

The show? Well it was alright... remember when I said never disappointed? Well we were kinda disappointed this time so I guess I spoke too soon. Too many things to list out but to put it briefly the show was shorter than usual and some of the "illusion" where you become engrossed in the whole thing was lost because this time they had the audience all the way around a thin stage- so you're watching the show and see people staring back at you in your direction from across the stage. Tapis Rouge was so ridiculous I've put in an email on their contact page (as a member) to find out who to write to about it. Tapis Rouge used to be (as they advertise it) a relaxing entertaining atmosphere with food, drinks (desserts during intermission) and private bathrooms/etc. Well this time it was so packed we were shoulder to shoulder, nowhere NEAR enough places to stand let alone sit, no way to even sample all the food because it was gone so quickly, tons of little kids running around, long lines for our supposed "private" bathrooms, etc. Come to find out I look online for the nights they have left and instead of the normal 2 front sections being available for Tapis Rouge tickets- they now have about 90% of the seating available for it! I'm not kidding, you can look on their website yourself (dallas, thru mid-march). No WONDER it was so packed in there. We'd have been in the minority if we'd saved a lot of money and went with regular seating!

Oh and Jeff's shoulder was hurting him real bad by the middle of the evening. He thinks it has something to do with standing in such crowds trying to "hold" his shoulders in the entire time. It wasn't just crowded in the Tapis Rouge lounge before and during intermission, it was also like a cattle roundup to get in and out of the show tent- obviously because a lot more people were leaving during intermission because the majority of the people were tapis rouge ticket holders! *sigh*

Don't get me wrong, we still enjoyed our evening out alone... but it was nothing like our previous "wow" evenings when we've gone to Cirque Du Soleil and as tapis rouge ticket holders, KWIM? :(

Glad that you enjoyed yourself. Sorry that it wasn't what you were expecting. Sounds like Ruby did good for her 1st try. I am sure that the others probably tested her somewhat.

I just finished a round of Supartz injections in my right knee. Wasn't too bad, and seems to have helped quite a bit. The doc says that's just about my only option for now, since I have NO cartilage left to try to repair. Only other option is knee replacement, and he says he'd rather see me get a little older first. I guess they only last about 10 years, and he said if I got one now, I'd have to have it done again in the future.

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Have fun!! Thanks for checking in!
I don't think we'd heard the news about the swimming pools!

You know, I really love putting in flooring, as long as it is the snap in kind. We have a lot more to do around here though. We are moving our bedroom into the addition, so our "old" bedroom will get a new floor also. After a bit more constuction. Now when we have to tile the bathroom? I have never done that before.

good luck we have a ton of work to do on our house new kitchen, addition, finish basement but i just cant stop booking cruises:rolleyes1

I'm in a funk. I think I have a case of DDCLF, Dreaded DCL Fever.

I'm sitting in my office overlooking the grey dank parking. There absolutely no color except for who ever is driving the electric blue Toyota. It's cold both outside and in my office and the trees look like leafless popsicles. I have a ton of work to get through but all I want to do is look at the DCL picture of the day or my own that I have loaded. To add insult to injury my iPod will play the ship's whistle every now and then between the entire collection of Buffett that I have loaded on it. What is a poor girls to do?:confused3 :confused3

What's the cure gang??????

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: You will be at SSR in no time at all for a Disney fix!
