:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I won't tell if they won't!

I was out looking for a carved walking stick for Rich. We saw some really nice ones on the internet but darn it if you can never find what you're looking for when you need it.I told him I'd get him a stick and he should take up the hobby of carving:rotfl2:
I remember seeing them all the time at the flea markets and stores that carry carved wooden heads etc. But the flea market was like a ghost town today and we made a hasty retreat.

A nice Mickey Head would be cute!!!!:thumbsup2 Did you look on E-bay???
Which Flea Market were you at???:confused3 I love the flea markets in Florida. I think I have an addiction to shopping!!!!:woohoo:

Hi Laura ... I grew up in Oakville and have lived in Burlington and now in Waterloo. When did you live here and where did you live? I'm bringing some Tim Horton's with me on the cruise. Just need to pick up a coffee maker at a Target's before boarding the ship. Stop by for a cup. Oh yes ... Put styrofoam cups on list!

Yayyy me ... I just figured out what SWMBO means ... Are you married to OBMW's ?? Is SWMBO OBMW's ??? Did I get it right? :woohoo:

WE had a scare right after 911. Someone misunderstood someone on the phone in a heated argument with a Sup and the person next to her repeated what she thought was a ref to a bomb. Well she told another advisor that there was a bomb threat and my friend and I who were ending our shift hightailed it out. The whole building was evacuated and I heard the next day that they were locked out of the bldg til 2:30 am. The bad part was they wouldn't let anyone take their belongings so they were stuck all night without their car keys etc.

Hi everyone. Oh my gosh am I glad to finally be home! What a day I had at work. I'm the Public Relations Director for a large health care organization and we had a major scare late this afternoon. One of our employees opened an envelope with a white, powdery substance inside. Everyone in the area was removed and isolated for possible decontamination procedures. We had police, fire and hazmat all on the scene. The area was sealed off until hazmat could come in and test for any possible biohazard. Thankfully the tests were all negative and everyone involved was cleared.

Since I am in charge of media relations, I have to remain on scene to handle any media that call or show up. I had to go into emergency mode and prepare for a potential onslaught if the news got out or if it turned out to be something serious. Fortunately it was resolved quietly and without much delay so I am happy to say I won't be on the news at 11 tonight. But it was very stressful nonetheless and I am glad that it didn't turn into a huge story. Mostly I'm glad that everyone involved is fine and there is no threat to their health.

I'm going to go take a hot shower, slip into my jammies and have a glass of wine! TGIF!

Holy cow!! You can have TWO glasses of wine!!

The lst time I was at this one was prob over 7 yrs ago and it is not the same one anymore. Very spooky and crappy stuff. My friend finds everything in DAytona where she lives and she is on the lookout for me. We saw some really nice ones online. Pirate canes, Disney. But they were very expensive. But will keep looking.

I see on the Double Tree site, that there's a "Super Shuttle" from LAX to the hotel for like $17.00 sounds interesting. Anybody had any experience with this and is this something that has to be reserved?

I always use Super Shuttle from Orange County to Disneyland and we used it from the Long Beach Airport to the port for the last Mexican Riviera cruise. You don't have to reserve it ahead of time, but I always do, and I request a "private" one. I don't want to have to stop at a jillion other hotels on the way to mine. It's only maybe a dollar more per person for the private van.

My DD has a shopping problem. I told her that IKEA finally broke ground the other day and she wanted to driveby to see where it will be. Hard to believe we don't have one. The one in Sunrise will be done by summer and that will be the first. My DS and I have a date to go and shop and eat some meatballs with ligonberries. We loved the place when we visited one up north

Aaaww, your a sweatheart. She is one lucky kitty. I did google her and she is quite beautiful. I think i would have to get used to the absence of a tail. The one I googled was white with two different color eyes. Really pretty.

A couple of years ago, in the midst of snowstorm I saw a kitten in an alley near my Mom's house. I felt really bad for it but knew how my husband feels about more pets. We already had Beasley. Well, I left the kitten there and went home - about 20 minutes away. I couldn't get my mind off that kitten. Next day was freezing again. Finally, I took my then 7 year old DD and went back to where I saw the kitten. We couldn't find her and started canvassing the neighborhood looking and calling. Wouldn't you know it, whe came out from b/w two houses. Poor thing!! She was frozen, full of fleas, a bag of bones. It took her about 2 months to recover. The vet didn't think she was going to make it but she did and is now one fat cat!

Mary

Kiki is mostly white. She has dark gray/brown patches on her ears, one on each side of her body and one large round one on her "bumpa" where her tail should be. She's so funny, when she's walking away, it sways from side to side.:)

OMG how scary was that1:scared1: :scared1: Was the response quick???

It was a little scary. You want to think that it's a hoax, but you just never know. The response from police and fire was very quick, but it took hazmat a little bit longer to arrive. Once they arrived it didn't take very long for them to do the necessary tests and give us the all clear. I was really impressed by the professionalism shown by all of the responders!

Holy cow!! You can have TWO glasses of wine!!

Thanks Stace! I think I will!

We go to Ikea just for the Meatballs. :cloud9: I am not all that thrilled with the quality of their furniture.:sad2: I love to collect their kitchen gadgets.
I think we had one of the first Ikea's in the country. Several years ago, Ikea put on a huge addtion.

We LOVE Ikea!! I would have to say that 1/2 of my house furnishings are from there. My oldest DS just grew out of the childrens play area so he's pretty bummed about not being allowed in anymore . It was such a nice break being able to shop without the kids. :woohoo:
