Thank you for posting these. They are wonderful!!! Can't wait to be there.

Well, the heater guy just left. He's been here since 3pm.

Good news is I have heat.

Bad news is he has no idea of the cost they're going to bill me
:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:
I'm scared for you too! Heyyy, where's the scared blue emoticon? It's not over there and I'm REALLY too lazy to be loading up the entire page of emoticons just to get it. So pretend it's here. I hate when they change things and take an emoticon I use a lot off the side panel there!

Aren't they requiring a deposit to hold requests with IC? I don't think I could put down a deposit for a cruise that's 4 years away.
If they are requiring them, I couldn't do that either. Does anyone know if you fax IC without a suite request if you have to pay a deposit just to be waitlisted???
I wouldn't mind getting on the list for the first cruise on one of the new ships (or both? maybe...) but I wouldn't be requesting a suite!

It's been sunny in Irvine all day. The clouds are just starting to roll in. I expect the rain will hit us shortly.

We live up in the South Bay, Gardena to be exact. And it's been cloudy since noon and raining for the last 2 hours. I'm glad you got some sunny skys.:beach:

Of the new ships I think their names will reflect the type of service they intend to give.

If it goes to the west coast it will be called LAND

If it is for kids with two decks of kids clubs it will be called the CHANNEL.

If they get anymore expensive they will be called CREDIT CARD.

So

Disneyland or
Disney Channel or
Disney Credit card

:lmao: :lmao:

Or the Disney Loan or Disney Refinance

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: You guys are very funny!!!

I think they should just call the new ships what they really are

Well, how do ya like them apples? Everyone is gone!

Guess that means I have to go fix dinner.

Won't be back much, it's my TV night tonight!

CSI

And try to fit in a little:

I would say 25,000 gallons per quarter would be more like it, not 25,000 gallons per month, during this time of year.

Keep in mind since I am the water meter reader for our township, I am also known in our home as the WATER POLICE!!! The three of us used 16,000 of water during the past quarter, I know becuase I just read our meter yesterday. I would say for the average family of four in our township, the water consumption is between 20,000 to 25,000 gallons. You might want to check into having your water meter tested, we do in here when requested, but there is a charge for it, I want to say $25.00, but I'm not sure if the price has gone up for that. We run 100 gallons through the test, if the meter registers within 3 gallons either way, the meter is classified as in good working order, if not, then the meter is replaced.

Thanks! We have the highest bill in the neighborhood and that made us suspicious.

I believe that DCL has created something called a "priority waitlist" that requires a depost in order to be placed on it. And yes, they couldn't care less how far away the cruise is.:confused3

Someone posted about this back on 2/11. Here's the link...

Oh that stinks. Well I'll just have to hope that others can't put another deposit down for their entire family this early out, because I can't possibly spare the deposit for all of us (especially considering the first cruise is likely to be pretty expensive, especially if it's a longer/different itinerary cruise) before this cruise- or atleast until I have it all saved FOR this repo cruise- then I can work on paying deposit for a future cruise.

It would work out rather well for us in 2011 though... that's probably the earliest we'd cruise again after the EB repo cruise. Seriously. Because of our children's ages... I do not like the way such young teenagers are with the older one in less structured atmosphere also. But by then- my oldest would be 17, middle would be 13 or 14 depending on the time of year- and the oldest could be there with him to make sure things go okay... and youngest would be 10 or 11 so still in the lab. Depending on the time of year- she'd either be finishing junior year or starting senior year- so it would likely be the last cruise we'd go on for awhile... (because she'd be over 18 and I'd be back to a 14 or 15yr old in the teen group again- and probably wouldn't cruise until he's like 17 and youngest would be around 14 in there with him)

So anyway, point is that 2011 is a good date for us, and I'm pretty sure it would be the soonest we'd cruise again after the repo cruise. I know we aren't going to cruise with her age 15 or so, unless she matures quite a bit by then...

Well, I think I'll send a fax tomorrow for 2012 - that's our 20 year anniversary.

:scratchin Might I suggest calling the CC # first...there are quite a few posts on the other board that IC is NOT accepting faxes at this point. Once again it depends on the CM you are speaking with:confused3 :sad2: Sounds like DCL didn't learn much of anything after the 1/31 fiasco!

I just received some bad news. A dear DCL CM that checked us in for our first cruise back in August 2003 is in ICU and not doing very well from what I was told a short while ago. This is a very dear sweet lady who my family has grown very fond of the past few years. I have attached a photo of Tanya below, could you please say some extra prayers and send :wizard: for Tanya and her DH at this most difficult time. Thanks so much!!!

I have a hint for the new ships. ALASKA, ALASKA, AND ALASKA!!!

I would wait that long to go back if it was on DCL.
