8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC Part 7

I just received some bad news. A dear DCL CM that checked us in for our first cruise back in August 2003 is in ICU and not doing very well from what I was told a short while ago. This is a very dear sweet lady who my family has grown very fond of the past few years. I have attached a photo of Tanya below, could you please say some extra prayers and send for Tanya and her DH at this most difficult time. Thanks so much!!!

It's been sunny in Irvine all day. The clouds are just starting to roll in. I expect the rain will hit us shortly.

It can't be too far away, because it poured here in Ventura County this afternoon!

Well, I think I'll send a fax tomorrow for 2012 - that's our 20 year anniversary.

Hey, I just realized that would be the year of our 22nd anniversary. OMG we will have been married a long time by then! LOL

2012 would also be the year our daughter graduated, but we'd rather cruise in 2011 because in 2012 (her birthday is in Jan) she'd be turning 18... and so she couldn't be in the teen group (and therefore bored?) and our next child would be just too young (IMO) to be in the teen group without an older sibling in the same group. 2011 our eldest would be 17 (in teen group) and middle child about 14 (depending on time of year- ie: also in teen group with older sister). So that would work for us! We can celebrate 20th anniversary late or 21st anniversary, right? LOL

About the new cruise ships, I would LOVE if they went to Hawaii and another cruise to Alaska. That would be my top two choices if I had to choose 2!

Andy she looks so familiar to me. Was she working there last February? She looks just like a CM that was so helpful to us when we checked in as it was our first time at Port Canaveral. I will certainly keep her in my prayers!

I was thinking about 2011 also but I really don't want to wait that long between cruises, I would like to do 2010 and then 2012 with maybe WDW done in between. But then again, it also depends on when in 2011 and 2012 they will be sailing. I don't need to be on the inaugural voyage, though that would be nice, but something the first year.

Okay, I found it. Here is the picture of Golden Retriever Remington with his Peanut Butter. He isn't with us anymore but we cherish his funny antics.

Remington was a beautiful dog, very similar to our Duncan who we lost about 2 years ago.

Yup, she loves her Winnie the Pooh blanket. She hops in her bed and I wrap her up. She rules this house

WOW! My cat won't even sit down to let me pet her. She allows me to stick my hand out and then walks back and forth past it sometimes occaisionally allowing me to actually pet her as she does this!

QUESTION TO EXPERTS ON DISNEYLAND CL!!!!!!!!!

I saw discussion a few days back, in 2005 I sayed at the Grand Californian I enjoyed that a lot, went to Disneyland hotel once, and looked ok, i am thinking of that for 2008.

I see it has three towers, any problems, how do they allocate where you stay, is the walk long from the furthest one? I did walk also to Paridise pier, nice hotel but I have discounted that one as it was accross the road.

I love the Paradise Pier. It is my fav of the 3. Resort view is amazing.

Most likely not Mary, Tanya has been ill for quite sometime now. The last we saw her was August 2004. We have been in touch via e-mails, but I haven't heard from Tanya since around Christmas.

Just stocked up on some booty from that bullseye place. Grabbed the POC stuff, a sparrow necklace, and some skull & crossbones earrings for my nieces. Then I cleaned them out of their entire stash of bandanas with skull & crossbones and a bunch of wide headbands with the same design. If anyone's interested in a bandana or headband, PM me. I'd be happy to send them to you.

And although I don't respond to any of the requests for pixie dust and prayers, I wanted you to know that a few minutes of quiet prayer is said on your behalf, whenever it is asked for. You'll never see me respond, but you will be in my thoughts and prayers.
