8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC Part 7

DD has to follow the scientific method too. We get a whole packet with experiement ideas and titles. The PTO purchases the science boards and we usually have 3 people from the local Marathon refinery come and judge. This is the first year dd will be judges. They will get metals. If it is a demonstration the kids get marked down, it has to be an experiment.

we have to buy our own boards - they aren't mandatory though....We have a Science Fair, but no judging..it is just for the parents to come in and view them. The kids do the presentation in class and are graded on that. They can also sign up to do a question/answer type thing that night with a High Schooler, but again it is not mandatory. This is Elementary - not sure what they do in the older grades. We are going out tonight to pick up the board and some stuff to spruce it up!!

With all of the catching up I was doing yesterday, I never got to telling my story with Sarah. She was born 13 weeks early, just shy of 2 lbs, and stayed in the hospital for 10 weeks. She had her ups and downs before she came home, but she is a very intelligent, put together young lady now. But that may be changing all too soon as she turns 13 today!

Cutie pie Nate is on Oprah today, and he redecorated an apartment that is 250 sq ft. It looked great, too! Now, I thought that was an incredibly small space, until they showed a guy who lives in a 96 sq ft home....it was more like a trailer, really. But it was cool...and only 96 sq ft!! My Cat 11 isn't looking so bad anymore!

I just went to Ebay and got one - I really like the blue!!! Probably the less I have to mess with one the better!!!!

What were some of the goodies left in your fish extenders???? I made up magnets by the hundreds. I got stopped by airport security because I think the x-ray could not pass thru the magnets. I had to open the carry-on and show security. The security were not amused. I was asked what I was going to do with all the magnets? I told them they were going to be put in fish extenders. I got a head shake and told to just go. I think security thought I was just a little and but harmless.

I made up magnets for our last trip and gave them out to the DIS trick-or-treaters...I was really worried about security because I had them in the folder with all my door signs - but they just checked the folder and didn't say anything....I wasn't sure what to expect.....
