And, you guessed it! Cher! ;) :

Pretty!

Too bad my DD is in bed already. She loves to see "Doodle Birds" (short for ****-a-doodle-doo, which is what she thought they were when she was 2 1/2).

edited to add that I did not intend to put a potty word in there. I was typing out the sound that a rooster makes. I'm so embarassed.

Thanks guys! And my kitties thank you for your compliments! ;)

Lorri--

Remember I haven't been able to get out of the icy driveway since the recall was announced. The 2 jars of Peter Pan were part of my emergency supply for times when I couldn't get out of the house because of the icy driveway.

Considering DD really WANTED the peanut butter....felt ENTITLED to the peanut butter, there was really no choice but to send Peter Pan to the outside trashcan of doom where even the samonella swabbies would die a horrible, frigid death. Peter Pan be darned, I'm making friends with Skippy now.

(not that I've had a difficult week or anything)

TOTAL TAG FAIRY MATERIAL:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

That is very true. I love the 1998 lines. DD had quite the collection of it. There are only a few pieces that still fit her. :( I got them on Ebay & thru a gymbo yahoo loop group for $5 per piece or less. Cape Cod, Cotten Candy, Autumn Berries. :( I miss those outfits! They were so cute!!! :(

I miss them too!
Fortunately I do still have a few of the old lines from Ruby that I saved for Rita. The old lines were such great quality they could actually go thru a child or two and still look new! (Rita wore Fall Harvest outfit today in fact! One of Ruby's old outfits I saved). Rita wore nothing BUT Gymboree for the first 2yrs of her life, atleast. Ditto with Robert. They were old lines though- bought off ebay and/or gymboree email groups. Very few were the "new lines" -back then new lines.

Thanks! I'm finally getting excited! Alot has happened since I booked it last March. It's been a rough year. My dad passed away in August. It has been tough on dd as we went over everyday and had dinner with grandpa. My mom passed away 8 yrs ago, so after that we went every day. I am the executor of dad's trust and have had to deal with an unreasonable sibling. Still need to get the house in shape to sell. I'm going to get on that when we get back. I grew up in the house and it was left to me, but dd and I agree that there are just too many memories. Plus she likes her school and our neighborhood. It's grandpa's house. The one bright spot is my brother has been so helpful and we think the same way about things.

So we need an escape from reality for a bit. Sorry, didn't mean to get depressing here. We are going good, but we have our moments.

Tina--

I'm so sorry for your loss, and for all of the struggles you have been through since your Dad has been gone.

I leave for 2 hours to watch POTC DMC and I come back to 16 pages, and my sole sold to the Chonched Out Bar on CC by my BIL.

OH.....is Huck Fin your BIL ......I must have missed that ......no wonder you could spew out the life story of his screen name and spell it correctly

OK - I said I'd post these later ... its just a LOT later. Here are photos of 5 of our 6 cats. The 6th is extremely shy and I don't have any photos of him - actually, he'd probably go into hiding for a week if I flashed him. These aren't all great pics, since in general cats do NOT like flashes and tend to glare at the camera.

Vincent.jpg

This is Vincent VanGogh. He came from the shelter. When he first arrived is was a horribly cold winter like this one and the tips of his ears had been frost bitten. You can see they have been removed - so that is the reason for his name. He is the only cat we have that LIKES to be photographed. I took this a few months ago when he hopped up on DH's table that was setup for taking Ebay photographs and posed for me! :thumbsup2

NormanRockwell.jpg

This is Norman Rockwell. He also came from the shelter. He was dumped there as a kitten along with his littermates and mom. We adopted him when he was 10 months. He is a very happy, laid back cat who thinks he should be given attention 24/7.

Dustbuster.jpg

This is Dustbuster. HE is a male calico (very rare - it requires an extra chromosome) and came from the shelter. Actually, we adopted him and Norman Rockwell the same day. DS picked out Norman and I fell in love with Dustbuster - normally, I would be a nice mom and let DS choose - but it was MY BIRTHDAY and I really didn't want to give in. DH said, lets get both!

ClaudeMonet.jpg

This is Claude Monet. He is one of the 2 small kittens DH took in. The other is Jackson Pollack who is the shy one. Although Claude looks a lot like Norman here, he is actually much smaller.

Tuxedo.jpg

This is Tuxedo. He is the last 'outdoor cat' to come indoors. He has become a definite Fat Cat and lays around pretty much all day. He will purr if you just come within a few feet of him!

I had to go back and check your link and in doing so I am admitting that I have not been able to keep up with every single post. I would love to, but I just don't have the time.
They are beautiful!

Posting Summaries 23001 - 24000:
- It is going to be an interesting mustard drill with this crew.
- Blah, blah, blah the Captain's sword.
- Jar of Dirt video on You Tube
- Still no cabin assignments for GTYs.
- How have your kids scared the daylights out of you?
- More tags granted to the pirates!
- Pyramid2000 went from being days behind to swiping post 24000!
- Score: Wenches 16 Jack 3 Swabbies 4 Evil Twins 1

Well, we have to get up relatively early tomorrow, so I'm gonna shut down and get to bed. Good night everyone, and CONGRATS to those with new tags, and keep warm everyone!!

It's funny but I think he gets a little embarassed about his cat hobby :goodvibes He doesn't often talk about it outside our family, but he has been very good natured about all the 'cat house' jokes.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words about our fuzzy family members! Enna - none of our cats our any particular breed. The shelter usually calls "mutt" cats either American Shorthair or American Longhair...

Cool - Electric Company on DVD. Hmm, I wonder if this could be like Mr Rogers - I remember loving his show as a kid, but I couldn't watch it with DS when he was younger because it grated on my nerves! Maybe the Library will get it and I can try watching without committing any money .......

On the other hand, Schoolhouse Rock on video is still great! DS7 loves it and we all go around singing the songs after he's been watching it.

Oh, and it's nice not being invisible! I guess I just need to try and catch up earlier so I'm posting during "prime time". Or do like I am now, I'm still over 30 pages behind (and I was actually caught up at lunch time!), but I am reading current stuff now and I'll go back to catch up later (I hope ...)

pdarrah (Pamela)

P.S. This multi-quoting is GREAT!

Please tell me again how to do it. Both Jen and Lisa told me. I still can't do it and I can't find their posts again......I never be able to find them ever, ever again..........they've disappeared into posting vapor........they gone to posting heaven........the're buried somewhere in the 1600+ pages.......someone stop me.....:lmao: :lmao:

PS I won't mention your DH's cat hobby when I meet him. He should be proud of the fact that he helps homeless cats though! It's an awesome hobby!

Enna ----
Have you come back in from digging it out of the frozen trash yet??????

They're usually quotes from the person posting. That leads me to believe that I only think I'm smart & funny.

....either that or the Tag Fairies are all my in-laws.

Or the TF hasn't taken a speed reading course yet. :lmao:

Definitely a kitty cat evening here!

ChrizJen - Your's are lovely! I had to go take some photos of mine also. Back in the days of film cameras I always had pictures of my cats since that is how I would finish up a roll after and vacation or holiday. Now, with digital, there isn't a need to do that I don't always think to take their pictures.

Of course, cats don't usually appreciate having their pictures taken! :cool1: :rotfl2:
