Possible Mini DIS Meet ?????

Looks like we will be going to Disneyland on March 23rd thru the 25th just for a quick visit and to celebrate all of our birthdays since they all fall within a couple of weeks between all four of us , So .. I was thinking why not have a little Mini Meet ...So if anyone is interested Please let me know , maybe we could meet at DTD at a place to eat ...or even better yet How about the Blue Bayou ???? I have never ate there before and thought this might be a perfect setting for us Pirates ....So if your up for it we will be there ...Just would like to know how many would be interested if we needed to make a ressie at BB???

pirate:

We're going the weekend before with out-of-town relatives. Maybe next time. Thanks for the offer.

They did the same thing here last year...mid year. :( I use to make cupcakes for the holidays for the classes but I refuse to pay the outrageous prices for them at the store.

exactly - it was so much more affordable to do my own!!!:) This is one of the things I looked forward to as a parent!!!, but at the same time understand the reasoning I guess.

(not to mention they are on a health kick. Normally I agree with eating healthy - but I also think kids should be kids (we're talking elementary) - and if your diet is otherwise healthy, there is room for candy on Halloween and cupcakes for birthdays! This seems mainly to be the Principal - most teachers are on the same page as the parents!)

Hi everyone!

Family and I are cruising and looking for a few hundred friends :yay:

I tried to jump in when this thread was still under a thousand pages but couldn't find any responses so i gave up..lol

At the risk of being redundant cause I can't remember what I posted I am reintroducing myself and my family.

Crusing will be DH and I with our 2 DDs ages 4 and 13 at cruising time:banana: Would love for DD to hook up with someone her age before hand. DD (12) is a serious student and bit if a tomboy. Other DD is a disney fanatic already and just loves everything disney (takes after her Mama.lol).
Along for the ride is my Mom. This will be our 2nd panama crossing with Disney and can't wait to do it all over again.

Now, if i can only keep up with you guys....

Mary

See now....I do like American Girl dolls. I think they are innocent looking, dress is appropriate, and I love the stories that go along with them. They teach history, tolerance/acceptance, and empowerment of young girls.

ITA. However, they are quite expensive. My DD isn't really 'girlie' and is just as happy roaming our woods with our beloved lab Sally, climbing trees or camping out than she is playing with dolls. Problem is, a lot of the kids at school have them so it resparks an interest. I just have a problem paying $100 for a doll that is played with every few months. But, I must say that I totally love the concept!!!

Well, I can say for certain that we here in the midwest have NO accent! :lmao:
Isn't it funny how we all think that our way of speaking is the "right way"? :rotfl:

SO I'm still at work. I'm debating leaving. It just keeps coming down. It's not supposed to stop until this evening. SO now my dilemma is do I leave now and risk the bad road conditions, wait and see if the salt trucks/plows come through, or just stay here and wait until later when DPartner can come rescue me?!?! :lmao: (she drives a nice front-wheel-drive vehicle :thumbsup2 )

either way - stay safe!!!!:thumbsup2

They are just so darned expensive! DD4 got to go to the store last year for her birthday and was angling to go again but we had to say no. She does love her doll though. Lucikly, you can buy dresses at Wal-Mart that fit well enough and she doesn't care as long as they are pretty.

Make mental note: Target's own brand of dolls, I believe it's called Next Generation, fits the American Girls perfectly. All for a fraction of the cost.

"Come with us, to a land of fantasy"

We just received the new DCL vacation planning DVD for 2007-2008. My DW and DD's and I love to watch it over and over again and sing along with the theme song even though we know everything about the ship inside and out.

Is that normal? Or is that a bit too creepy.

hey - consider your audience!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: sounds normal to me!!!!:wizard:

just ordered that and the DL one yesterday!!!! = will soon be doing the same thing!:)

Our school has restrictions on what you can bring to the classroom - no candy, no cake/cupcakes, cookies, anything with more than 50% fat, juice that's not 100% juice. It's frustrating. One of the moms said she was going to bring cupcakes for the Kindergarten Valentine's party tomorrow. We'll see if they let the kids have them.

I actually never swear:angel: :rotfl: .

But what I use on a regular basis is the word flippin'. (As in "no flippin' way"..."I can't get this flippin' thing open!", etc...) And it's a bit contagious. A few of my friends have subconsciously added it to their vocabulary as well. They blame me.....

I don't swear much - but when I need a "stronger" word I will occasionally swear in German. The word I tend to use a lot and I think it comes from reading a LOT of British literature is "Bloody" - as in "Where did all this bloody snow come from!" :rotfl: If you stop and think about it, it doesn't make any sense at all - the snow most definitely is not bleeding...

DD likes the frilly dresses and she never saw anything she liked in the "Our Generation" doll clothing. Of course she has expensive tastes.

TOTALLY OT, but I'm kinda excited. We were looking at stuff last night to decorate our nursery/kid room (the bed will depend of course on the age of our child) But the rest of the room is all planned out! :thumbsup2

We're doing an "under the sea" theme! :woohoo:

The whole room is already painted blue, and here's a shot of the mural we've ordered for one whole wall of the room:

I really like this.. Do you mind if I steal it for a back drop on a door sign
