Goofy is a mutant generated by the Sorcerer in his secret laboratory. I mean, if the guy has walking brooms with pails...

Another point to Goofy...he has a son Max. Max's mother is Clarabelle, the COW.

Let's hope that 11 months prior to our sailing, say September 2007, that there isn't a mad rush for opening dates and availability similar to 1/31? :rotfl2: After all, we all know how well that was handled.:sad2:

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Actually, that really isn't too funny.:sad2:

MR- I hope you're daughter is felling better today!!

I am playing nurse today as well, but my patient is of the 4-legged variety. Our 13 1/2 yo dog, Beau, had been acting out of sorts lately. He wouldn't go up and down stairs, and wasn't as playful. Sunday evening my husband picked him up and noticed some scabs on his belly. We flipped him over to find some pretty nasty looking sores. It had been burried under all of his fur (he's a Sheltie). Took him to the vet yesterday morning and the Vet is very worried. They are running a blood test, and the Vet mentioned it may be cancerous lesions. :sad1:

We won't hear back about the blood test until tomorrow, and the Vet wants to see him again on Saturday. In the mean time I have to keep him and my other dog, Sloopy, separated, and I have a regiment of antimicrobial wash for the wounds, ear drops because his canals were infected also, antibiotics & pain killers....all several times a day. Poor guy. He has always been the most pleasant dog. He was such an angel at the Vets even though he was being poked while he was in so much discomfort.

:grouphug:
I hope Beau is feeling better. We went through a similar thing about our choc lab Lady. A bunch of tests later, we were told it was Cushings Disease which is a benign tumor of the pituitary gland. Unfortunately treatment for large and older dogs (she was 13) typically doesn't do much.

Say...

... I don't know if anyone else has noticed yet - but the DCL web site is listing catagory 9 as available to book. The price for 2 is $6500 and if you add 2 kids (in my case 4 and 7) it becomes ... let me take a 2nd glance... $9,569.96.

The only thing is I can't advance past the initial quote page to actually book it.

That sounds about right. The max for a 9 is $2999 (quote qould include transfers, etc) and $3000 more for 2 kids seems pretty good.

Read this on another thread, interesting, covers some of the posts here today. re Eastbound srable, Wesbound selling out, low Cat rooms going first. T/a's

The category 12 cabins were sold out VERY EARLY the first day since there are so few of these available.
Yes, you are correct that some people did not get ANYTHING booked for the Eastbound repo cruise (the Westbound for May just sold out today.)
The Eastbound cruise was sold out by mid-afternoon.

I also do not think it is fair to blame the travel agents on this and say they performed "poorly" Some agents were stuck in a hold queue for hours and hours. That is not the fault of the agency, I would say more accurately it was the lack of planning by DCL in how they had these available for booking (and it is not as if they were not aware of how this would play out having had prior experience with this twice before.)

Good Morning - My DD (12) came home with a project yesterday from Middle School. She is suppossed to interview a group of people to determine what are there top 5 "Stresses" in their life. I gave her some ideas like Time, Money, Health, etc. In hindsight, I should have sent her to this thread - the response would have been What Room #, What Dining Time, how many times to Palo, etc I am not sure her Teacher would have been able to understand the answers. I think her Teacher is looking for the Middle School answers of Homework, Friends, Sports, etc.

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:
Sad, but true!

or my favorite 'firetruck'.

 OMG, I thought I was the only one that used "firetruck" :lmao: Had to really be careful when the little ears started repeating and in perfect context too :sad2:

OH, and about the accents. When I tell people that I'm from Massachusetts they say, "but you don't sound like you're from Boston." I simply tell them, "Look, my Dad grew up in the Bronx, my Mom grew up in Boston, I was born in Miami. Quite frankly, it's a wonder I can talk at all" :rotfl:

Well , Just got a call from the DS 5's school , guess he puked in class so I have to run to pick him up ...He said he had a tummy ache this morning so I gave him a lil Pepto ...guess he wasnt trying to get out of school after all :lmao: (you know how kids can be ) Anyway I will be in and out through out the day ...

pirate:

:flower3: Hope your DS feels better soon!

"Come with us, to a land of fantasy"

We just received the new DCL vacation planning DVD for 2007-2008. My DW and DD's and I love to watch it over and over again and sing along with the theme song even though we know everything about the ship inside and out.

Is that normal? Or is that a bit too creepy.

Sure, now I've got that going in my head.

But I bet there will be a few people who will pull out their DVDs now.

What I would like to get, because if brings back memories of booking our first cruise, is the promo video DCL use to have on their website about 3 years ago. It is the one where the animated dolphins jump in front of the ship and then the real ship apears. If anyone has that somehow saved anywhere, I'd like to see that. Like I said, brings back memories of booking the first cruise - watching it over and over.

But do you pronounce it "My-am-uh"?

Oh, and with little kids, they'll repeat things they didn't even hear. My mom would drive my (then not quite 2 year old) DS to a Kindermusik class once a week. On the way there, she would point out all of the flags, and all of the trucks. After a while, DS started using the F sound instead of the TR sound at the beginning of "truck". I was not a happy momma.

DH just called - they are cancelling flights out of DC for tonight - he is getting a rental and is going to try to drive!!! Sounds like he should be able to stay ahead of it.

my little cousin used to pronounce firetruck with an "F" (in the wrong place!)- we (my sis and I - and his big brother) used to ask him over nad over to say firetruck and then laugh and laugh.....we used to pick on the poor little guy so terrible.:rotfl:
