Thanks, but the Swabbies got the last 2. Might I dare say we're on a roll? Doubt it.

Awww C'mon!!!

We can do it!

We must be related or something - that's my Pirate name too!

Find self Dive Buddy.... check :)

Of course, first we have to find a dive shop, figure out where we want to dive. Oh, and lest we forget - wait 20 months!!!

Lovely! And such a great way for the Capt'n to teach his kid how to fly...

:rotfl2:
When are you cruising? We don't have 20 months! LOL

Esteri,

Have to tell you what happened to my Weim Grace today. I was out side shoveling snow and she was playing. Came back in with her and found blood all over the floor. Seems she sliced open the pad on her left front paw. Probably on some ice.
We stuck some gauze in between the pads and wrapped her paw in athletic tape and she seems to be fine. Doesn't even bother with the tape. Not like when she opened up the area between her stomach and her upper leg. That didn't bleed but we had to have her wear the E-collar after her repair surgery.

That's awful. pixiedust: for a quick recovery paw:

I have been happy with the suits at Walmart...though I truely hate that store. DS is 8 and wears an 8-10 now. I have found them for $35 made of nice fabric.

Never looked at WM for DS's clothes. I'll have to check next time I'm there (once a week after church to get milk - can't beat their price - and a few other things).

DW works at the corporate office of a major retailer, so we usually get DS's clothes their. Can't beat the 15% off (on top the usual extra 15% on top of an add'l 10-15% = total of about 40-50% off :thumbsup2 ).

Still, they never have more than dress pants and white or blue shirts.

The suits they have online are for older boys. :sad2:

The one thing I can't find anywhere is dark brown socks. Haven't found them yet.

The one thing that I don't like about the school I want to send the kids to next year is that they have uniforms. I have a wardrobe for both of them packed up for the next 3+ sizes from clearance sales and hand me downs from friends. Very inexpensive. It is going to cost a lot for us to keep them in nice and clean uniforms. DD will put holes in her pants all the time. :( That is small compared to the problems at their current school though.

Adam has been wearing uniforms since elementary in public schools. I have always found it so easy albeit a little boring.

Please don't take offense, but this made me laugh so I just had to respond. DLH is already one of the expensive hotels in Anaheim.;) For comparison I checked the rates for August 2007 and they are as follows:

Disneyland Hotel $255/night
Paradise Pier 285/night
Grand Californian 380/night
We visit Disneyland on average six times a year and always stay at an offsite hotel. Generally the Hyatt Regency or Crowne Plaza which are both about a mile and a half away from Disneyland's front entrance. Now in the interest of full disclosure DH usually gets the Hyatt Regency on Priceline for $59 and that just wouldn't be an option for anyone coming here a few days before the cruise, but even the Hyatt for the same August 2007 as above is only $140 per night, the Crowne Plaza which is directly next door is $130.00 per night. Both these hotels have their own free shuttle which operates every 30 minutes and takes you directly to the front entrance.

I was referring to the fact that the DLH has traditionally been the cheapest of the on-site properties and whether that would change after it has been renovated.

Gotta leave the board for a while kids. Need to shovel the 1-2" of snow that fell after I cleared the drive this morning. This is so I can shovel again after the 4 more will fall tomorrow afternoon. (I don't like it when there are tire lines on the drive - packed snow) I'm anal in that respect.

Be back soon.

To all those who are feelin under the weather or nursing someone who is feeling I offer my prayers for quick recovery.

that "leo" print - is that a Ramon Santiago - do you know?:)

I can so totally relate to this!!!! I did the driveway today but unfortunately I didn't get to it before I had to drive on it.

Crash, better watch it... or the captain will have you walking the plank soon! (no more runs for minis and the thread not blasted with fluff posts to race for 1k's either. Captain says 10ks are all that count now. :lmao: )

So - what amounts to a "fluff" post? I would like to acknowledge that if we toned it down a bit then we might have a better flow here - and it would make for a better community over the next 18 months. I actually decided this past weekend to lay off a bit - as I was getting overtaken in total count - and it just wouldn't end until someone gave in - so I decided to lay off and revert to quality in my posts. Hence I have dropped to maybe a dozen or so a day in the past couple of days. And my posts had one lengthy or time consumptive one a day - generally. The recoloring of the Captains' R/C plane took me a while to make - and the travel idea by Train a couple days ago took me a while to create too.

So - maybe we should knock off the sprint to 20,000. We know what is possible if we get enuf of us into a silly "spreading" mood. And that is not very attractive to new folks looking in on our community here.

With that in mind - I'm going to drop a couple notches in intensity - and resume the posture I took a couple days ago. No "fluff"... just real replies where I feel they are warrrented. 'K?:thumbsup2

pirate: I have no idea where the conversation is now because I'm still 75 pages back, but I had to announce that I'm coming out of lurking for good!!

I GOT A CABIN!!!

I've been religiously checking the DCL website and miracle of miracles, tonight there was a cat 9 that popped up instead of the error message. So I immediately called the Castaway Club and saved my spot!

Let's not even think about how much I'm paying for only 1 adult at this point. It'll all be worth it next August. Besides, maybe I can persuade someone to come along with me by then.

Anyway, now I'm really glad I've been "wasting" at least an hour a day of my life for the past 2 weeks lurking on this thread so I don't have to go back and catch up on everything.

Can't wait to meet everyone and to get to know you all personally in the next 18 months!!

Kimberly
:woohoo:  :woohoo:  :woohoo:  :woohoo:

WELCOME, WELCOME Kimberly
:welcome:

Okay BIP, I guess we have several things in common or we just have great taste.:lmao: :rotfl2:

We have more similarities than you think!
I chose Paris for DLP also!
We had leftover pizza last night, but not tonight.
And I would have said my favorite number is 13 but I thought people would think I was weird. That's supposed to be an "un" lucky number.

I like to think we just have great taste. :)

I was just checking out the main DCL Forum and noticed this post... "NEW Priority Waitlist process letter - anyone else get it?"
http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1355945 It talks about how there is a "priority" IC waitlist for additional $$$ deposit. Hmmm...makes me wonder if DCL is trying to discourage IC requests and double bookings.

Iam very sorry but I really don't know. I just did a search for Leo the Lion and that came up. I thought it was pretty cool looking so I use it.
