We are doing the same trip out of SF this summer, but they have changed the ship from the Regal to the Dawn Princess. Did you like the trip? We are really looking forward to it.

It was a fantastic vacation. 1st only having to drive to SF was nice. No Airfare. DD's 12 & 6 had just as much fun as the Disney ships. The trip was long enough that they met some good friends and spent more time in the clubs than with us. The Dawn is a much nicer ship than the Regal, but we really enjoyed a smaller ship. The stops were great and everybody wants to go again. I will send you a post to our pictures when you have more time.

That would be great, especially now that I've added a Wench's Tea to my list! I just figure that since we are here in So Cal we can be helpful to all the people coming from out of state.

You can naturally count us in for this TASK FORCE!:thumbsup2

I had to repost this...

... Maybe I should swing by Cal Lutheran to check out the deals tomorrow?:confused3

Just an OT post. My great-uncle Luther Olmon is one of the founders of California Lutheran. A joke in our family is we are so Lutheran than we have an uncle Luther.

Hi neighbors Goofy and Crash. Where is the rain? I see you two are keeping the night shift going here on the West Coast. I wish I could stay up with you guys, but we have to be on the road at 5:30 am. We are heading to a Taekwondo tournament in Murrieta and DH has to be there bright and early as he will be judging. One of these days I'll pull a late nighter with you both!

Well....

... maybe the rain is out at sea or into the foothills? Taekwondo? We were thinking of starting our daughter on some martial arts course. We tried Karate out of the United Studios (Janss Mall and Agoura) but I kept asking her to rank how much she wanted to pursue it compared to Gymnastics, Soccor and Swim team... and so we pulled back from it and I was gonna substitute piano lessons starting tomorrrow...

And do drive carefully tomorrow.... :thumbsup2

Crash, how often do you get down to DL. We have So Cal passes so we get down there about every other month on Sundays. We pick up other days when school is out as well.

I would love to see the photos! We were also attracted by the fact we could just drive to SF. Well I have definitely stayed longer than I should. I better tear myself away and start getting ready for tomorrow. Good Night!

Our kids are 3 and almost 6. Wanna do a play date ... either shopping at the Oaks, Chuck-e cheese (too busy maybe) or a lunch at a park? We'll email ya when we next olan on going - and we have done the parks with several other local families...

What do ya say???

Yes, they do have kids clubs on the Regal. They are not what you would think of as kids clubs on Disney. They have 2 rooms on the top deck in the back of the boat. The rooms were nothing special but the counselors were great. Had the kids playing games, science projects, karaoke. There were not a lot of kids on our cruise to Alaska, but my girls made friends with other kids and had a blast on sea days. The one big difference is that the clubs are always closed at meal times, which was just fine with us. The Regal is an older ship (oldest for Princess) but everything was well maintained and the staff were excellent. The nice thing is the size of the ship. It was big but not huge so you got to know the other passengers and crew.

Who won the 16000 Post wenches or swabbies????

I hate to keep going backwards and forwards. I get seasick!!!:lmao:

Welcome mate. None of us can keep up, except for Lisa, so read the summaries on page 1. Your name looks familiar. Did you do one of the Mexico cruises in 2005?

We have only done one so far. Mexico in 2005. We are heading to WDW/Wonder in June. So TPC will be #3. We did Alaska on Princess last summer R/T from San Francisco.

Wow!!!

You did the DCL WC in '05. We didn't even KNOW they were sailing out here then. I was a bit of a newbie to the DIS then - as I recall - and we learned about those sailings long after they had started selling. So the prices seemed sort of stiff. I think that year was the year our sailing was "mocified" by hurricane Frances... or was it the year before that?

And as for Princess R/T from SF... again... WoW! GOing from SF must have been fun ... going under the GOlden Gate an' all - plus the conveneince of departing and returning to SF. We did a R/T from Seattle maybe 5 years ago on NCL. It was nice too - but we did not see Glacier Bay... and there was no calving glaciers at the post after Juneau - I forgot where they took up to - but calving glaciers was one of the hoped for events that was not meant to be for us.

How did you like the Princess sailing? What were a couple of the most memorable things from that sailing?:surfweb:
