OH NO! What happened to the potty? You didn't see any bricks near it, did you?

Seriously, I hope that whatever is wrong with the potty can be fixed pronto!

It was probably installed by a "scabbie" friend of mine and it getting back at MR.....................:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

The plumber's is coming for the seventh time now. If he doesn't get it done this time, I'll be so mad I'll be adding my own brick in there :lmao: Seriously, this has been going on since Thanksgiving. You don't know how much you miss a flush, until you can't :rotfl: Thanks for the shoulder Enna! You're a peach!

I'm so feeling you on this. I'm having my whole bathroom redone. It was supposed to be finished early December.....welll....the guys are in there right now....maybe finsihed next week I'm told....but it's being done by friends, so what are you gonna do??:confused3 I'm getting such a break on the labor so I can't complain too much.

That is only for cats 1-3 or if you are quarentined to your room due to illness.
I guess we just had great servers then because my mother-in-laws' friend was in a category 11 on deck 7 and ordered off of the menu several times during the cruise. She was not sick. She just didn't want to come eat at the table with the rest of us.

That's really weird. My kids always ordered multiple items and they reduced the portions and put them all on one plate for them. Well, maybe not when they ordered off the kids menu and the adults menu, but my kids' favorite order was pizza and the macaroni and cheese. (And Mickey Mouse Ketchup :rotfl2: )

That's exactly the problem we had. Like we'd have one kid (youngest, I'm sure you guessed that right? :rotfl: )that would (for example, I can't remember exactly and it happened every night) want like mac & cheese and nuggets- those were on 2 different meals... so they would say we could have it but they would come on seperate plates with everything ELSE on each of those meals- stuff she didn't want and wouldn't eat. It seemed like such a waste. But that's how they did it- they'd bring out both meals, one that had chicken nuggets on it and one that had mac & cheese on it- and lots of stuff on each plate that she had no intentions of eating. Then we had to choose between her eating off 2 plates or trying to combine the two- much moving of fries/etc. to various plates to get what she wanted on one plate.

I don't mean to make it sound like all she ate was junkfood though- often times she would want veggies or meat off our plates also. I was just trying to give an example that if there were things on the child's menu she wanted- she'd have to get the entire plate for each item. Seemed ridiculously wasteful to me.
(but I gather they have the plates already made up or something? I don't know)

Oh, believe me, I know!

Unfortunately, it's nearly impossible to realize that a toilet won't flush until it already needs to be flushed.

For a $500 new potty, I would think that not only would it flush, but that it would also be self-cleaning.

Do you think it might be time to get a second opinion from a different plumber?

I have a small one from last year's cruise. I need to see if there's a way to share it. I may need a new place to put photos. I'm currently at snapfish. I will have an online album for this year's food though. I have over 100 pictures! Any suggestions for photo sharing places?

I started using Photobucket when you couldn't copy snapfish's pictures to the board anymore. They have worked great.

Andy that sounds like great fun! A triple dip, and in only 6 days no less!

Hazel ought to be so surprised!

MR

She will MR, when I get around to telling her about it!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I have a lot of photos posted on photobucket, but I've never shared an album from there???? Most of the time I upload mine to my AT&T Yahoo! account when I want to share a whole album. If you don't have Yahoo! your ISP should have some kind of photo storage.

Hmm, maybe we should all request our favorite servers for the next cruise. I've had combined kids plates with Gabor, Sudir (sp?), Raman, and Ion. I've got pictures to prove it. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Coldwater Creek has some incredible deals right now on clearance. They were the larger sizes so I was disappointed but someone would be able to get some nice formal looking stuff inexpensively. ;)

Annette got some very good deals at the Coldwater Creek outlet store in Rehobeth Beach last month. Most of it was at more than 75% off the original price.

I was wondering if anyone can help this geography impaired person - :upsidedow - is there a time difference between Paris and France? On our return trip just noticed that the flight time is from Paris to Londone/Heathrow (sp?) is only 20 minutes - is this right? Just wondering - thanks

???? Um Paris is in France.....oh I see you mean Paris and London....sorry can't help.....we'll have to wait for Andrew or one of our other UK contingent to show up.

Sure you can too complain! That's way over schedule and believe me you really REALLY find out how important your bathroom is when it's out of commission. I hope it's finished soon. It'll be really nice I bet!

Our first dinner (AP, first night) we had horrendous waitstaff. Seriously. Then we figured out we weren't seated with the DIS'ers we were supposed to be linked to so they rearranged by the next dinner and had us "close" to the DIS'ers (best they could do I suppose- but we ended up in the corners sometimes with curtains seperating us/etc.) but the waitstaff there were VERY VERY NICE. However, I do think it has to be said that they aren't extremely flexible on what you can order. Sure you can order multiples of things but it's such a waste of food if say for instance your child only wants ONE item off a child plate- they bring out the entire plate with everything on it. Even if you insist that your child does not want/will not eat/etc. whatever else is on the plate- they still bring it all out. So if they want one thing off one child's plate on the menu and one thing off the other- they'll bring out both plates of various foods and then you get the joy of them eating off seperate plates or putting them on one single plate yourself. I don't understand why they can't be more flexible on that.

Have you ever seen behind the scenes in a cruise kitchen? That stuff so mass produced, when you order, they just go grab a plate off the stack of that particular entree...They try to do their best to be accomodating, but remember, they've got 20 or so other people to serve too. That's why special requests need to go through your head waiter.

Here's another thing that was new this year. (At least I don't remember it from last year) They offered three showings of most of the live performances. 3:00 pm, 6:15 pm, and 8:30 pm for Twice Charmed. 2:15 pm, 6:15 pm, and 8:30 pm for The Golden Mickeys. 2:00 pm, 6:15 pm and 8:30 pm for Disney Dreams. Just 6:15 pm and 8:30 pm for Remember the Magic though. Anyone know when they started doing that? I think it's a fantastic idea for those with small children. See the show before dinner, have dinner, and then bed time at 8:00 pm instead of trying to keep them awake to see the late show. :thumbsup2

They have had the matinees for the past 3 years when we have cruised on the Magic. It doesn't replace the evening show for us, however. We just get to see it twice. :thumbsup2

Our bathroom was out of commission this past fall - it was bad, no shower and limited plumbing. Needless to say I was all over getting that thing finished ASAP! But it did turn our beautiful - Cindrella Ballgown Blue and white.

That's what is so weird- our servers (after the first night) were very nice and generally trying to please. They were also very apologetic about having to bring them out in seperate plates like that with food that was getting wasted (I suppose they could tell I was displeased with this). They acted like there was nothing they could do and kept apologizing about it night after night.

So it's weird to hear that is NOT the case, and they could have done it differently. I can't for the life of me figure out why they wouldn't do that when they could, and instead risk their "excellent" rating at the end of the cruise and apologize constantly/etc. Wouldn't it have been easier to just bring the food out like we asked, like they did for you? Weird.
